Strong Pokemon... Weak Pokemon...
That is only the selfish perception of people... Overall, this looks decent, but I'm seeing a few decently sized flaws. The colour sceme is laid out extremely nicely, with one little thing that could be fixed. The flow is a little off, and the avatar itself is rather lopsided.
The back-half outweighs the front-half by a large amount, and it sort of throws off the avatar by a decent amount. Otherwise, the staff is sort of just there, and it's just protruding from the avatar, and not following any of the flow whatsoever. Lastly there's just a bit of issue in the colour scheme. There's not enough white on the avatar; you'll either want to take out the white on the face, and then just add small specks of white around the sections of the avatar that don't have it, or you keep the white and add a pretty decent amount of white through the entirety of the avatar.
Overall, I'd rate this an 8/10. It just needs a few fixes here and there. Truly skilled Trainers should try to win...
With the Pokemon they love best.

As far as the comments I've gotten so far, most seemed irked with the presence of the staff. Lol. But that's okay. To each their own preference. I can't simply please everyone emotion_awesome
More whites? Hurmm... *rubs chin* I guess I can sort of poke around for themed accessories and stuff. Any suggestions? =D
Oh and I'll be giving yours an 8/10. Creative but to be honest, I'd like it without the background (^O^) But that's just me =D

Personally, I like the staff. Your avatar looks fierce, and strong. It would need a weapon, thus the staff, though it does seem a bit long and jets out the side...
one thing that bothers me is the mouth, It fits the avatar, but it just bothers me...Then again most mouths on gaia bothers me, which is why I dont have one haha. Also the background spec thingy throws off the avatar a bit to me.
Over all, I like it. The colors match, and I've been a fan of that crown feather thing. All in all, I give it an 8/10.

Theme wise it's alright, very classy looking.
However it just seems a bit plain to me.
