@Anonymous: Wind spreads the fire, but fire is still supposed to be stronger than wind, what if the wind blows to the opposite direction? ._. anything else you want to add?

Fire consumes oxygen, so it's possible that using the wind to manipulate it could bite you in the a** if it's a strong enough flame to eat up your wind assault and pass right through.

Fire consumes oxygen, indeed, wind isn't oxygen though, it is the movement of air that is made of oxygen and many other things like CO2, etc. Anyway, that is one thing that should be better explained in Naruto, since a flame blast could be deflected by a wind blast with the same strength...Flames on the floor for example, with the effect of a wind blast technique it would be spread to the direction the wind blows, just because the flames would still be there it doesn't mean the wind is "weaker" @Rem: Hi

Wind is oxygen. Just like how lightning shatters rocks and the wind can split lightning bolts.

Beatriz-chan Anyway, the point of this is saying whatelse has to be explained not to explain I guess that, you know, a burst of fire is like one from a flamethrower. It's a gust of fire. If someone, say, Sasuke is firing a fireball, it has a lot more "oomph" than a gust of wind, depending on the jutsu used. I guess. I'm not going to defend Naruto Physics.
