the fox/cat looked comfortable on her lap and showed no signs of any care for Brisinger's wellbeing.

"Are we there yet?" Kaji asked in a whiny voice for the millionth time.
At this point, Suzume Nakamura was just about to slap her elemental. Her right eye twitched. She groaned loudly to show that she was growing deeply annoyed, and Kaji shut up. Contented, Suzume continued forward. That was when she came out of the distance. "Hey, I think that's where that commotion came from," she realized, pointing to a group of people ahead of them. "Hey, do any of them look familiar?" Kaji simply shrugged. Suzume recalled the last time she and Kaji had actually tagged along with a group of people. She hadn't seen them in ages since that fateful night... One which she could barely remember. Oh well. She had high hopes she'd be able to tag along with them again. Going solo with a whiny elemental was no vacation at all.

Kaji brightened up immediately. "Hey! I think I remember now!" she announced, grinning from ear to ear as she rushed forward.
Suzume frowned at this mood change and failed miserably in trying to catch up to her friend's pace. Why do I even bother? She blinked and decided to slow to a walk, simply holding a hand up.

Brilliance... Suzume thought, sighing deeply as she approached.
Kaji grinned. "That's right! Kaji's the name!" she announced. "I don't expect us the be remembered, we were away for a long time."
"And boy, do I sure regret going solo," Suzume mumbled, forcing a grin.

Suzume scratched her head sheepishly. "Sorry. After a couple of overwhelming things happened me and Kaji decided to explore on our own. We've kinda been lost and searching for you guys since." Kaji continued to grin.

Freeda smiled a bit more, then stoped. She eye'd Suzume and Kaji with suspition, "Why are you here? Are you following the Society?"

Suzume and Kaji exchanged confused glances. Being away from people so long, they had no idea what was going on. "What happened?" Kaji asked.
"Isn't the Society against the Quisidor? ...Or something?" Suzume added, crossing her arms.

Suzume blinked. She didn't see that one coming. "Fugitives?"
"What happened?" Kaji asked in concern. She highly doubted these people would do anything wrong...
