I'm a baker. We have... 9 people who work in our bakery. 1 is devoted to bread, 1 does only the breakfast items. I do pastries for our coffee shop, four people are devoted to production of buffet items The executive Pastry chef does... very little and that leaves one woman to do basically all the production for this giveaway. I help her as much as I can, but it sucks.

Yay fun? Hope that turns out all right for you.
*continues to munch on a slab of biscotti as he looks around the room*
Um...why's everyone else so quiet?

I take it this year. Your supervisor will make the same notion with the biscotti as the cheesecake.
Lazy-type chef? There any way you can make-y with the oust-ey? Last I checked, should the entire kitchen staff ( minus maybe dishwashers ) be able to do everything to some extent?

Heh, I'm not worried about it. If it doesn't get done its on the executive pastry chefs head because he didn't organize anything or even set up a schedule to produce all the extra cookies. My supervisor just started making stuff because we are running out of time and the boss hasn't even mentioned making the stuff.

Last I checked, should the entire kitchen staff ( minus maybe dishwashers ) be able to do everything to some extent? Yeah, well it wouldn't even be a problem making that many cookies for me and her if our head chef would just get his head out of his a** and let her make a schedule.
And its not that he can't do the work, its just that since he's at the top of the ladder he doesn't have to. That's what everyone below him on the ladder are for.
EDIT: And no, not all kitchen staff should be able to do everything to some extent. The regular cooks don't need to know anything about making cookies because that's not their job. Just like I don't have to know anything about making soup.

So all you really need is a carefully concealed video camera to catch said lazyness in action. Then, your supervisor can become executive pastry chef. Then, you can get in another person to help.

Mmmmmm... Pi. Today I ate copious amounts of Rice Krispie Treats. Last night I made the startling discovery that I've lost so much weight I can count my ribs again crying
I don't like that work ethic if it's abused. I mean it does make sense that he shouldn't have to do cookie production all the time because he is the top pastry guy. He should be the one to do all the display pieces and stuff. Its just I don't like how upset he gets if he does have to help us with production.

Then, you can get in another person to help. There are cameras all over to catch the lazyness, but it's not really lazyness so much as it is delegation. He just delegates all the s**t work down to us and does like... display pieces and some plated stuff. Other than that he does a lot of paper work, and no 'b***h' work

Dark Conspiracy Kuroiten Conspiracy: Pi? As in the Greek letter? Correct. 3nodding Yay! I guessed right! *looks for some confetti, but makes do with some biscotti...then realizes his mistake and covers his head with his hands before the biscotti cascades back down* Decayed: ...counting ribs...good? Okay, your figure, not mine. Yeah, but being unwilling to help for the good of the rest in a pinch? Not cool.

No, counting ribs is most definitely bad. I was ecstatic when I finally gained enough weight that I couldn't see my ribs anymore. However, I've lost the weight again and it makes me decidedly upset.

Any particular cause for your loss of weight? Or is it just something that happens to happen a lot?

Can always try to force down biscotti cookies over next few weeks to gain it back. You sure you can't even stick a needle in his chair or something to keep him from sitting down?
