*As we pass through Nacrene City, I turn to Rei*
Me: Not sure, I heard its pretty small, and apparently has some sort of weird place called the Dreamyard next to it.

While curious about the Dreamyard, Rei wasn't about to pester the man for details.

"Dreamyard... I'll have to look into that later," he said, almost losing his train of thought. Rose's complaint brought him back to reality.

"Oh yeah. What happened in that place last week?" he asked Rose.

Upon hearing this, Rei frowned.

"Was it because we're Team Aqua? I thought our reputation after Archie was pretty much gone."

Rei ran over to a couple getting attacked by a Venipede and its trainer, a spiteful Plasma grunt.

"Hey! Leave them alone!" he yelled, sending out his Trapinch to face the bug. The grunt made a mocking face and turned to his Venipede.

"This punk thinks he can take us on. Let's show him not to mess with Plasma!" The Venipede huffed, nodded, and struck a battle pose, only to find that the Trapinch was already making a sand trap for its prey.

The Venipede fell into the trap, right in the clutches of the Trapinch, who happily chomped away at the bug. Determined not to go down so easily, it stung furiously at the Trapinch's eyes, connecting a few solid hits before it fell to another devastating crunch of the Trapinch's jaws. Trapinch giggled with glee; she should have joined forces with Rei a long time ago. There was so much prey to consume!

Enraged at the easy loss, the grunt sent out his next Pokémon, a Stunky. It, too, fell into the Trapinch's trap, but it was far more prepared than his counterpart, Venipede. Using the momentum it gained while rolling down the hill, it bashed into the Trapinch, dislocating its jaw. Rei decided that the Trapinch was done for now, and recalled it. Pulling out a second Poké Ball, he sent forth his Eevee.

"It's only a little injured, Tsukuyomi. Double Edge, now!" The little Eevee rammed into the Stunky that was crawling its way out from the abandoned pit and took the attack right in the face. Its head was dizzy, and so it raised its tail and sprayed acid all over the disgusted Eevee. It's nose incapacitated for the match, Eevee did the only thing it knew: ramming until its opponent passed out. The two clashed, and both Pokémon fainted in a heap. Rei sighed; Tsukuyomi had a lot to learn, and he was going have to work diligently with him later. He returned his Pokémon and sent out his Charmeleon as the opponent sent out his final partner, a Mawile.

"Scipio, Flamethrower! You've trained against Mawiles before; don't get caught in the jaws of it!" The Charmeleon, having trained often with Rei's Mawile, knew enough to avoid the deceptively charming Pokémon's reach. It spat out bursts of flame from a distance, weaving in and out of the maw's range. As he moved in for the final blow, the Mawile viciously clamped down on Charmeleon's exposed tail. Furious, it responded with an even more powerful wave of fire than before, and finally downed the creature. Rei returned his Charmeleon and glared at the grunt.

"Countess. Confuse Ray the man." She sent out an eerie pulse from her mouth, and the Plasma grunt's mind was murky for the next hour. He walked, dazed, into the forest, stumbling the whole way. Rei rolled his eyes and assisted the injured citizens to the Pokémon Center, where there was medical attention for both man and Pokémon. After he was certain they were going to be ok, he healed his team and headed back outdoors.

Rose vs Roserade, Drapion, Bronzong, and Magnezone (Explorer Level 1)

The Plasma grunt that came before her was one Rose remembered from the previous week, she recalled him having a Roserade and a Drapion, two Poson types that had an advantage over her fairies She also saw he had two additional Pokeballs with him

As he reached for a Pokeball, Rose did as well. Rosesent out her Frogadier while her opponent sent out a Roserade. "Ha, I knew you'd lead with Roserade again."

"If that's so then why lead with a water type you stupid little girl" he taunted.

"Because Icebeam" Rose ordered.

"Mega Drain" the plasma grunt ordered and Roserade attached tendrils to begin draining energy from Frogadier.

"That move isn't as effective as you might hope" Rose answered "Blizzard." since Roserade was in such close proximity to Frogadier, and was in fact attached to Frogadier, it couldn't dodge the attack, and fainted as a result.

"Grass-type certainly is effective against water type Pokemon, but not against Ice-types. Your first mistake was looking at Frogadier and assuming it was water type." Rose grinned.

Her opponent recalled Roserade, pissed off, and sent out Drapion.

"I knew you'd do that" Rose taunted "Use Dig"

"It can use ground moves too?" her opponent gawked as Frogadier disappeared, digging it's way underground, then he recovered "Wait until it surfaces and then use Fire Fang"

Frogadier surfaced and struck Drapion hard from underneath, but Drapion recovered fast and attacked with Fire Fang, biting Frogadier's shoulder.

"Now it can't go back underground. Keep biting." the Plasma grunt ordered.

Rose was amazed that the grunt fell for the same tactic twice in a row "Now use Hydro Pump" Rose ordered.

Frogadier obeyed, and the close range blast couldn't be dodged, so Drapion was sent flying, and fainted, to the grunt's shock and dismay.

"I prepared my Frogadier especially to handle those two." Rose explained "Have a nice break, Frogadier" she returned Frogadier to her Pokeball "Now things get serious, yes?" she asked.

"I hate you!" the grunt ordered, then sent out a Bronzong.

"None of your Pokemon are a match for my Bronzong." the grunt taunted.

Bronzong, she remembered, was steel and psychic type

*The grunts start running away towards the dream yard*
Me: They really like that place, well we should probably catch up with them...
*I pursue the grunts*

Rei chased after the grunts with his teammates, silently hoping the Dreamyard was a place where you hallucinate.

"Countess, if I start saying stupid things, please get me out of there," he said to his partner. She nodded and kept pace with him, scanning the area every so often with her ultrasonic waves.

*Aw we enter the Dream yard, we see a bunch of grunts on the pillared foundations*
Me: What is going on there?
*As we enter, they appear to have a bunch of Fairy Pokémon out*
Me: Anyone have any idea what Plasma is doing?
