No idea. AFAIK she was an anime-only character up until now. And just like Naruto's dad, manga fans are supposed to know about her, or you're a damn n00b (or so have the n00b Naruto anime fanoids been shouting the last few days. rolleyes )
Knowing Kishimoto, though? She's probably a "strong" weak-a** lame medic-nin who never won a story-relevant fight (only exception to this rule is Tsunade, and even then, she only won because Naruto and Jiraiya were around to help.) Female ninja from Naruto are like Yamcha from Dragon Ball/Z: Awesome, but useless.

And that big-a** Rasenshuriken finisher was also quite good.
However, the whole "chains coming out of his crotch" thing is something I really didn't need to see and get mental images from. Dude, that piercing must hurt like a b***h.

Flashbacks are okay, but they're always rather anti-climatic. You already know who's going to win, if you were paying attention to the story.
Still, Yondaime kicked Madara's a** more than most other characters ever managed to. ninja

Meh. Everyone's going "omg Kisame rocks!" after the latest chapter.
Dude. He suicided. Even after years of anime and manga, I don't still see what's so awesome about that.
I mean, if he had at least taken two or three enemies along, yes, but Kisame's death was rather pathetic IMO.

Sweet mother of satellite characters, KONAN.
I thought the fourth was awesome for stabbing Madara. Konan? Konan kinda blew Madara's arm OFF.
And then she revealed they had been fighting on an ocean made of her papers.
I always thought Kishimoto was as much of a rolling misogynous moron as Kubo, but right now, after Naruto's mom and Konan... Heck, I don't know what to think.
Who knows, maybe next Sakura will do something awesome. Or Hinata. Or Karin... Oh wait, that one's impossible.
