Their conversation was broke off when a blue-haired person dressed in a white ensemble went through the gate. It's the White Queen, she thought to herself as she stared at the weird couple. A white cat was following the White Queen.
Eri was staring more at the cat and how it could talk back and understand what the pop star says. It's probably the White Queen's cat in the first place. It's probably trained. Ahh, celebrities and their pets. . . She'd call him Salem for now.
Right then, she remembered Baton Girl and their conversation.
"Ahh - sorry, I am just new to this place too.", she smiled back to Lyn, "Well, since this looks like a city, I don't think you'll have any problems finding a hotel. Why don't we go look for one?"
And maybe I could get some clues on where the Library is. . ., she thought to herself.

Lyn smiled back and nodded in agreement.
"That sounds like a wonderful idea, dont you think so puddle puppy?"
Lyn asked down with a smile, hearing a yup of agreement from her canine companion as he wagged his aquatic tail in response.
"Alright, which way should we go?"
Lyn asked, looking at the long main road and the series of intersections along the way.

"Where should we go. . . ", she asked, repeating the question, to herself.
At that moment, she noticed the wet dog Baton Girl was petting. I'd call it Sea Dog, she thought, going with her habit of giving describing phrases to people or things she met.
Hmmm. . . that sea dog can help us. . . it is a dog after all. . .
Eri crouched and petted Sea Dog by the head and talked to it. "I don't know if you could understand me, but could you sniff around and point Baton Girl and me the direction that smells of bratty kids?"
When there's bratty kids, there should be parents and there should be some place to stay. At least in Eri's world, that is.

Puddle Puppy or 'Sea dog' as Eri was growing to call him, tilted his head to one side.
"Woof?"
He asked, as if he was trying to voice his own confusion at Eri's request.
"Umm...Im not sure my puddle puppy can track children. For whatever reason you want him to look."
Lyn explained, sensing her dogs confusion.
"May I ask what your doing in the city?"
She asked, curious of her new friends reasons for coming to Byako, passing the time as she looked at the many differing streets, hoping she could get a clue of where to go next if she looked hard enough.

Oh right, she calls him "puddle puppy". Better note that.
"Hmmm. . . well, I wanted him to find children. . .", Eri answered back, still thinking on what other alternatives to have Puddle Puppy search for, " . . . because I thought there were public parks here, and residential zones. And for us to find a place that doesn't look like a ghetto."
"What am I doing in the city. . .", she asked, repeating the question to herself, again, "Well, I thought it was a good read. And so when I read it, I suddenly got here."
"And now I am looking with you for a place to stay!", she added, smiling back at Lyn.
"Okay, Puddle Puppy! I've got it!!! Sniff out some good old bourbon and chardonnay for us!" She gleamed with excitement and pride with her ingenious plan. Taverns and bars usually have inns near or on top of them.

Being tossed around in the air as a play-thing certainly wasn't Jack's idea of fun,
" Whaaaah! Hey! No no no, there's going to be no more of this 'Throwing the cat' in the air business!"
He composes himself, squirming a bit with the fact that he's being held.
" Ahem.. That sounds like a grand idea Miso~ But..if we wreck all the stuff, we're going to have to fix it. Wouldn't it be a better idea to do some 'negotiations' rather than just bust on in there and telling them to bow?"
The felines' ears twitch a bit,
"Plus...I don't think it's a wise thing to go around spouting our exact plans in the middle of the open." as he gives Miso the shifty eyes look.

Puddle Puppy whined, looking around as though lost.
"Umm...I don't think either me or Puddle puppy know what that is."
Lyn explained.
"How about we just pick a random direction and see what we can find?"
Lyn suggested, not liking the large crowds moving through this street.
"Maybe we can find you something to read along the way."
She suggested hopefully.

Eri slumped, feeling sorry for what she has just heard. "What~?"
"That's the easiest way to find someplace to stay." Other than ending up in a ghetto, that is.
"Why would you choose a random direction. . . pshh - oh well, whatever. We'll go your way for now, but if this doesn't work - we'll have paddle-poppy here guide us to the nearest tavern, got it?"
And with that she took out a small pamphlet in her pocket, strip out a small piece and read "pineapple barbecue chicken tenders" before putting it in her lips. "Lead the way, Lyn!"

Miso's gaze wandered to the side for a moment, as if he were contemplating what Jack had said.
"Jack, that's absurd. No one is listening."
He had apparently decided to disregard what Jack said...
"Although, people just might be...we shouldn't talk about this kind of stuff out in the open."
...and simultaneously decided that Jack's suggestion was, indeed, his own.
"So, where do you suggest we go to speak of this, then? Mayhaps I can work my charms on some sucker to let us stay somewhere for the time being, despite how distasteful that is."

"Alright, come along Puddle Puppy!" Lyn says as she takes a left and goes down the lesser used back road. It looked designed purposely for narrow walkering and it served as housing with a number of small businesses like bakeries and grocers along its way as Lyn followed it, hoping to run into a place to stay and relieved to be away from the clusters of people.

Jack's ears droop down and his eyes half open, staring at Miso, trying to comprehend if he actually just pulled that off.
"...R-right. Well uhm..I'm not entirely too sure as to who we can go to let us stay somewhere. If you'd be able to work your charms on somebody, perhaps somebody that we once..knew maybe? That'd buy us some time."

Eri followed, looking around and checking the narrow streets niches and perks. She wasn't paying much attention to the road ahead, but more on possible signs of bookstores and magazine shops or libraries.
Every once in a while, she'd pick up some dumped newspaper or tabloid somewhere and reading what's on and off with the carnival city.

Hello and excuse me, I was looking for the university's lab dept.??? (trying to be carefull not to spill the contents in the beakers in his hands) Pleas do not let any of this liquid spill on you, I'm afraid it is abit unstable in it's current form and maybe atad bit corossive let alone toxic, flammable, and well..Just very (stuttering a little bit) unsteady.
Where might I find who's in charge around here??? (looking franticly around).???

Floating along the main streeta few inches from the ground, A man sized form of hair appeared in deep descussion with the pointy hat he appeared to be wearing.
"What are we going to do without a headmaster? We are the only ones with any position of authority even around anymore! We should leave now before things get out of hand."
"But Gackle, we are the heads of the magic instruction department, it is our responsibility to provide learning and education to the growing young minds! Don't worry. Im sure things will work themselves out."
The two appeared completely lost in their conversation and were not paying attention to those around them. A pair of magical white gloves flapping in the air around them as they argued.

A dimensional rift opens and takes the shape of a young woman. She stands atop the Main Gate of Byako. She stares out into the town seeing various beings of all shapes and sizes. Without a word she hops from rooftop to rooftop being careful not be seen.
