Oh my, Lisa thought to Fred, are you actually proposing to Franki?

No, Fred thought back, shooting her an subtle glare out of the corner of his eye as he thought it. It's her birthday present. My mother would flip if she thought I was even thinking about getting married before I get a job. And I don't have a death wish. Fred sighed, looking back at Franki. "You get it either way, but I would prefer you went to the Hospital Wing. It would make me feel better," Fred said with a small, half smile. Franki sighed, her eyes stuck on the box, then moving to Fred's face. She smiled weakly and nodded.

"Do it," Ginny recommended, "or else Fred will cry then drag you there himself."
"You really don't want that to happen," Ron stated, "we've seen it and it's not pretty..."

Franki sighed. "Fine, but I'll need a bit of help getting there," she said with a resigned look on her face. Fred smiled. "Excellent," he said, helping her up and keeping an arm firmly around her waist. They started towards the portrait hole. "Anyone who wants to see her birthday present better come with us," he said with a wicked grin. "I'm going," George said, hopping to his feet. "You never told me what you got her." George grinned at his twin.

"I know though," Ginny grinned.
"Since when does Fred tell you anything," Ron asked.
"He needed an opinion from a girl's point of view..."
The five headed off out of curiosity of the item.

Fred smiled back at Ginny. "Don't you tell any of them, Ginny. It'll be more fun if they don't know," Fred said. Franki laughed weakly, kissing Fred's cheek. "Don't threaten her, Fred," she said with a small grin. Fred set her down on one of the hospital wing beds and let her legs swing up onto the bed. "Now would you like your gift?" he asked. Franki nodded. Fred put the small black box in her hands. "Happy birthday, baby," he said, kissing Franki's forehead. Franki popped open the box, and her jaw dropped. "F-fred....." she stuttered. She pulled out a silver woven hairpiece, onyx stones were spread out throughout the silver. "I-i-i-i-i..." she stuttered. Fred smiled. "D'you like it?" he asked. Franki nodded, her eyes wide in shock. "How did you afford this? Tell me you didn't blow your savings on my birthday present," she said.

"He did," Ginny whispered to the rest.
Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Lisa giggled quietly at the couple and Franki's statement.

Fred waved one hand back at Ginny, not intending to hit her, just hush her. He smiled, looking at Franki. "As long as you like it, love," Fred said softly, kissing her forehead. Franki nodded, giving him a hug around the neck and kissing him quickly. "Well, you better get Madame Pomfrey and then you guys better head off to class. And I mean it, you two," she said, looking directly at the twins. Fred nodded and George sighed, but nodded as well, only not as fully as Fred had.

Fred smiled at Franki. "You got it, love," he said, kissing her forehead quickly. He turned, flagging down Madame Pomfrey and turning back to Franki. "I'll see you after class is over, ok, love?" he asked. Franki smiled. "Of course." With that, the twins ran off out of the Hospital Wing and catching up with the other five. "Hey guys," they said with wicked grins.

"Ginny, twins," Lisa stated, "you are so lucky that you don't have Umbridge next..."
"I'd do almost anything to get out of her class," Ron said.
"Her lessons are so dull anyway," Hermione noted, "we don't even get to do magic."
"No Defense of the Dark Arts teacher has been able to stay more than a year anyway," Harry muttered.
"If only I was a year older," Ginny groaned, "maybe I could make things more bearable for you three..."
"It's a sweet thought Ginny," Lisa replied, "but I think she's harder on the fifth years than the twins..."

George grimaced and showed them the back of his hand which had 'I will learn to behave' carved into it. "She hates us. I just got caught this morning, so mine is still fresh. Franki and Fred had one. Trust me, you guys would have to really screw up to get as bad a reputation as we have," he said. Fred looked straight at Lisa and nodded quickly and looked at the rest, showing his own 'wounded' hand.

"You don't know what happened two days ago then," Hermione stated with a frown.
"You have been told that a dark and powerful wizard is on the loose," Lisa said in an almost perfect Umbridge voice, "this is a lie."
"For the record," Ron noted, "those were Umbridge's words and Lisa doesn't believe a word of it."
"This is what happened though," Harry said as he revealed his hand, which had 'I mustn't tell lies' carved in it. His was a bit on the faded side though.
Ginny gasped when she saw Harry's hand then gave him a hug as well as George.

"Yeah, the witch did it to Franki as well. But hers wouldn't heal over even though she's probably tougher when it comes to pain than me and George. But it seems that hers was on the blink and refused to stop bleeding," Fred said almost angrily, his hands clenching into fists. "Do you guys want an excuse to get out of her class?" George asked, looking tense.

"I'll pass," Ginny said, "I have McGonagall next." With that she ran off to class.
Lisa looked at her watch. "Aw shoot," she groaned, "we better run!"
