She was surprised that her attack had struck at all. She was used to being inferior when it came to hand to hand training. She guessed that her training had paid off. She didn't tense when he struck out at her, but instead kept herself loose and fluid. She was good at adapting styles to her own. The fact that she had adapted his style to her own was something that probably should have been expected, the woman never came out of a fight without stealing something from the enemy, but that's what made her fighting range so flexible.
When his first strike came, she actually bent her body backward, the first strike swinging just over where her midsection was bowed, the movement back upward bringing her arm up to block away his attack at her neck. She had watched him move from the stance, through attack motions, and back in the stance. So, it was more defensive, or offensive? She thought it was more of a defensive stance, but she didn't know all of the finer points of it.
From the lift of her arm to block away his attack, she turned her palm inward, bringing it toward his chest. Her other hand was attempting a grapple with his arm. By now he likely thought that she was going to mimic him for the whole fight. No, this was where she went from his fighting style to her own. She'd show him exactly what she'd learned during their time 'apart'.

Haruko's cheek flushed deep red when she realised someone had heard her say such profanities. She turned to the boy and immediately bowed, attempting to hide her face until the color faded from it. "It is a pleasure to meet you." she said to him in a soft, meek voice. She then turned and walked about fifty feet back and looked around. The space was wide open and well out of anybodys way. She drew the hilt of her sword from her sash, and as she did, her bracelets evaporated. The air around her became thick and hazy, but lessened as her sword slowly materialized from the hilt to the tip of the blade. She plunged her zanpakto into the ground and walked back to Shin. She then withdrew a small, light green scrunchie from within her robes and put her hair up into a ponytail.
Attack Bonus: +3 (5)
Haruko entered a battle stance and threw a quick punch and Shin, but she slipped and lost her footing, and she was now more falling towards Shin fist first rather than throwing a punch.

it wasn't to be. He looks almost sad, and he shifts. His last movement..the speed at which he simply shifts out of the way, for his form, it's almost unreal. The grapple attempt is shruged off as he curls his body and bends it unnaturally, and makes a ballerina type of move out of the entire range of attack entirely. Oddly, he doesn't do anything else. He lowers his head..and shakes it slowly from side to side..
"I just can't..for some reason, I can't bring myself to fight you that way. I know you can..and that's why I trust you..but there are things..parts of me I can't account for. Perhaps of the two of us..I have fallen behind. It seems I've gotten weak. I thought I had resolve..but maybe I was just.."

When Megumi moved to the side of her steps, she lost her footing, and fell against him, literally, as her foot caught on a stone. Her fingers gripped his shoulders, and without thinking, she leaned against him, speaking softly.
"Gomen," her head turned down, eyes staring off, away from him, as she leaned there.
"I'm sorry. I should have waited for you. I shouldn't have gotten ahead. We promised we were going to go it evenly.. I just.." her head lifted, and tears glimmered where they hadn't been before.
"Megumi.. I.." her voice trailed off.

"It isn't your fault. The truth is, there are things that are a part of me that I can't train with lessons like this. I know that the teachers here are experts in what they do. I know that they know best for most of us, but I can't help but think that knowing what I know about myself..I don't think I should be here. More and more, when I wake up, I feel like I don't belong. There's only one other person I know like that..and I have to find him. He's the same as me. He'll be able to teach me. He'll be able to show me how to control.."
He sighs and shakes his head..
"You want to get stronger. It's what you're here for. You've come from the bottom and made your way to such a wonderful place. Here, you'll get prestige, and acknowledgment..myself..it's the opposite. I started in a good place, but I want to go to the bottom. To learn about myself, I have to forget everything I know. I have a burden you can't help me bear.."

Fingers tightened their grip as he spoke, and she lowered her head, looking away again. She was being stupid, and she knew it. Emotions were running high, and she paused for a moment, before releasing him, and stepping back.
"You're talking about him. The one who was fighting that other Shinigami in Inuzuri.." one arm crossed her chest, gripping her arm in ever-tightening fingers, her knuckles blanching white.
"I know who he is. He's strong. So, he's like you?" she shook her head just slightly.
"More and more Megumi, it's like we're slipping away from one another. We promised to make it all the way together. To get stronger together. I don't care about bein' strong, if you aren't there," her brows furrowed, and she stood rigid, her body trembling.
"I did start from the bottom. But I sure ain't at the top," a soft snort, as the first hint of crystalline water streamed down her face.
"You belong here as much as I do. I know I ain't normal. I can't be. I don't know if I'm like you, or if I'm like something different.. but I can't be like you. I mean, every time the mark on my back burns, I end up hurting things.. that can't be normal.. I went from wanting to be strong.. to just wanting to know who I am.." she was confused, and there was no way to fix it.
"I'm sorry," she turned, and lifted both of her swords, placing them slowly into their sheaths. "I guess we part ways here, huh?"

Shin got suprised by her attacking so directly made him lose his confidence when thinking of the speed she had in her footwork but felt with ease when he saw her trip. He moved to the side of her, easily evading the attack. His green hair flew around in the wind as he watched her body fall.
Attack: 7 + 19 = [26]
He moved his leg upwords getting extra speed and power, before launching it down towards her falling body. Aiming for her chest. "I hope it dosen't hit, I hope it dosen't hit" he prayed to himself as his foot cut through the air like a knife.

Rikatsu blinks at her vehemence, a bit taken aback. "It is training Hikari-san. I am trying to learn how to fight, not kick the stuffing out of you or vice-versa." Still trying to understand why she seems so angry all of a sudden he continues. "If I want to work on my stamina I can go running or something."
Shrugging he sets himself, ready for her attack. "If you do not want a short break, then come on. I just thought it the polite thing to do."

Haruko landed roughly, but was able to break the force of her fall with her arms. She rolled over just in time to see Shin's foot come down on her. It struck her square in the chest, and she felt the wind escape her.
Attack Bonus: +3 (19)
Gasping for breath, Haruko threw a punch as hard as she could at Shin's knee. If she hit him, she'd be able to flip him over her onto the ground. Maybe then she would be able to back off and get some of the air back in her...
HP: 21 - 1 = 20
OOC: Demi, what level is Shin? Because I thought accuracy bonus was your level, but your profile says level 1, and you put an accuracy bonus of 4...

((Sorry for the extra two days, I got caught sneaking on here for that little bit. Oh well, what can you do. I am back now and will now post my reply to you Kaosu, thanks for your patience))
Haro grinned as he saw the foot coming towards his gut once more. He had found that Kaosu had been using the ame attack a few times, foot to the stomach. He grinned and he shook his head, it was time to teach him that it didn't pay off to use the same thing over and over. He took a deep breath and he felt a couple symbols change, his body felt lighter and he smirked as he hoped from one foot to the other, it was fast jab boxing. He merely hopped backwards, the foot missing by a mile and he smirked as he hopped forwards afterwards, with it, his right hand snapped outwards with lightning fast speed towards Kaosu's jaw.

Kaosu expected it to miss. He was running out of ideas. He didn't want to hurt Haro much more, ever since he did what he did. It wasn't surprising at all.
When his foot flew into empty space, he noticed Haro changing pattern again. When the fist starting racing towards his face, he shifted his momentum; thus sending the foot towards the attack. Kaosu's foot collided, sending the fist far off it's target. Then, placing his foot back on the ground, he spun on his left heel, sending his right towards Haro. However, his pivot knee shook, sending his whole attack off balance.
