"Tell me about some of them?" Serenity asked hopefully, her eyes pleading. It was becoming easier to avoid looking at Ruel, despite the fact that he kept making little remarks every once in a while.

"Ah...." Donovan began pushing is glasses slighlty up his nose, "Where shall I begin? Why not with Were-ah? She's a childhood friend of Triton's, a very.... friendly young lady, so of course she was delighted to get to know Elnara," he chuckled a bit, "Were-ah is like that to everyone, I think the perfect person to get to know Elnara first."
Even if he thought Were-ah Scott was a few screws loose, but that was his own personal opinion on the girl.
"She's in the fighter class with Triton, so Were and Elnara don't have a lot of classes together, but I'm sure that motherhood is something they both have in common," in which to say he was sure Kara's habits were infectious, "Were's chirpy, so it's really hard to be depressed around her."
Just very easily to be annoyed.

Upon hearing Elnara's name yet again, Ruel snorted and headed into the kitchen, his feature distorted with disgust. Obviously time had not changed anything for him.
Serenity's smile grew as she listened silently, nodding to show her understanding. Happy people ... were easier to be happy around. Going back to Gaia must have been exactly what she needed.

Donovan didn't look at Ruel but he could feel the man leaving, and kind of hoped perhaps out of sheer effort it was taking to not kick the elf in the a**, that he was listening to what Donovan had to say. Afterall, being ousted by family did not matter if one, had a good home where they were.
"Hmmm... let's see there is Kakko, whom she got to know quite well. Kakko is a nice girl, always willing to visit the cafe," he left out Sasku just for reasons then he wouldnt' have to tell Serenity what and idiot the man had been.

"Are any of them elves?" Serenity asked, telling herself it was out of sheer curiosity but knowing better. Though she supposed it would be too much to hope for such a thing.

"Lore is," Donovan replied trying not to give it a sing a song tone otherwise he just might creep Kara out, but it didn't keep him from saying it clearly like a bell, "He's the librarian I was talking about earlier, in fact I think Skye has met him several times."
Actually he knew that Skye was learning from Lore, which was all the better, as he planned out what to say next. The nice thing about it, was that he wasn't lying when he was singing the guy's praises, lord knows he had to suffer three hours of praises from his cousins alone.

Ulanin smiled to herself and wondered if she should go find Skye's picture back. Wouldn't that be interesting, she mused, showing it to Serenity?
Serenity blinked at Donovan. "Something different about him?" she asked curiously, her ears not missing the change in his tone of voice.

"Well... they meet quite a bit," Donovan admitted, "He's been teaching her how to write in the English alphabet which accounts for some of the meetings...." he paused a bit before adding, "And she's been getting flowers from him."

Kara's head snapped up at that and she promptly whacked Donovan in the arm, "b*****d," she told him in Japanese, 'You knew all this time and you didn't tell me!"
She pouted up at him like she had been denied candy.

This time, Ulani and Serenity were both astonished. Ulani burst into a fit of giggles. "Well, that explains Skye's picture," she laughed.
Serenity was at a loss for words for several long moments, looking between Ulani and Donovan, and finally looking at Kara. "Flowers?" she asked finally. "Picture?"

Donovan grumbled a bit, "I have to admit it's quite.... unique, well I mean.. the theme he had been trying to do. An old human custom says that flowers represent certain aspects, he had been using that system to send messages. Don't look at me about the picture, I don't know anything about it," he poked Kara, "But you do, and you say I'm keeping things from you?"

Kara stuck out her tongue at Donovan, "I didn't know anything about it until today, Skye showed it to us," she explained, "So techically I didn't keep anything from you."

Ulani laughed aloud then. "Shall I go find it back again?" she offered, amused. "Because if you're adding flowers into the context, then it makes a lot more sense than what we were thinking earlier." She laughed again.
Serenity was still a bit dazed from the news that Elnara was receiving flowers from a male elf in her new world.

Kara smiled and nodded eagerly, "Well since the cat is out of the proverbial bag, let's get it out so Serenity can see exactly who Lore is."
She wondered who had sketched the picture in the first place it was quite good.
