It is alive although it's a little slow. I would probably comment more but I haven't had anything to say/post yet and I don't want to post spammy or random stuff. sweatdrop

Makes sense, there just doesn't seem to be much activity in the mentor and mentee subforums either, but that could just be because I am seriously bored and want to discuss art. smile

I've been practicing my skills at sketching lately because I've sadly neglected them due to being unmotivated, and more recently because of being worn out from working. I've been pleased with the results. One of the subjects was just a head but I was adding shadows and attempting to give it more realism. Another time was a full-body drawing of myself that I wanted to do for a DeviantArt ID. While I wasn't as happy with it as I wanted to be, it does show improvement from earlier attempts at doing something besides just standing there.

Well it has been an eventful month...lost our internet, now we have it back but then my husband blew the engine of his car...so...no time to do artwork sadly. crying
Which really stinks since that tends to me my only stress relief outlet. stare
I do hope everyone else is doing awesome though and having a great holiday! smile

I found this totally awesome book at Barnes&Noble today Found it in the art section It's called "Sketchbook Confidential: Secrets from the private sketches of over 40 master artists" I checked the book out at amazon and it has boatloads of information in it. Info from artist's who paint, draw and sculpt their thoughts, experiments, dreams, mistakes I'm sure there's more in it but I haven't actually read it
