((Decided to finally post here again! of course I have no clue WHERE Brenna is... sweatdrop ))
Brenna was up her room ignoring her mom and step-father cooing over each other. It was sickening really! She burrowed under the blankets some more... it was freezing in the house! Didn't her mom LIKE heat? Of course Brenna tended to forget that her idea of comfort was likly to cook a normal person.

Remmy shook her head. "No, not really. She's the firt one I've picked up. There are a few cats that I feed outside though that are strays, but they live in the alleys around here." She picked up a cup, which didn't have sugar in it since she didn't like it. "Thanks for helping with the tea."

Remmy smiled. "It's a good habit to have I suppose, I mean to help people." She didn't really ever know what to say around people, she was rather secluded most of the time. In college it was easy since you weren't worried about offending people and the topics were always something you had studied about. But people that she wanted to be friends with was rather different, since the topics weren't usually researched.

::dryly:: helping people isn't my habit... i find it pointless and a total waste of time to bother helping some ungrateful jerk when you KNOW that he's just going to get all huffy because a chick had to do his dirty work... ::blinks and shakes her head:: sorry... my friend and i go on picnics a lot... sorta. i help her set things up

Remmy just blinked a few times and shook her head. "It's alright, just a little sudden, that's all. Is it your friend Bren that you're talking about?" she asked softly, sipping at her tea.

"Oh." She looked down at her hands and into her tea cup. She was a bit dissapointed that Nia didn't think of her as a sort of friend but they had just met and the circumstances were a bit odd, to say the least. She stood up and walked to one of her huge windows, looking out at her garden.

::follows Rem with her eyes, noting the look of disappointment on her face before she turned away, though she couldn't figure out WHY she was disappointed. it never accured to Nia that someone might actually want her friendship:: that your garden?

Remmy nodded. "Yes, I hope to extend it very soon though. I want it to take up most of the back yard, whatever's not taken up by the pool I want installed anyways. The backyard is plenty large enough though. I'm thinking about also installing a privacy fence, I just have to find the time. Or call my dad to get someone out here, though that's a last resort."

She shook her head. "The more the merrier, really. Besides, I wouldn't want your sister to destroy it, I might have to come after her then. Plants have feelings too, you know?"

i wouldn't get it if i thought i'd have to take it where she could get it ::shrugging:: and like it or not, she is family so if you go after her, you'd have to go through me first...

She nodded and then looked up at her. "And I'd hate to have to do that, so it is best if it stays here. It's not too terribly far from your home I hope." She looked back out over the garden. "And as I said, you are more than welcome to bring your friend Bren. Until I get up a privacy fence you can just walk around to the back if I'm not home, when I do get one up I'll get you a key to the gate."
