While Riley got the game started, Kaleb shifted around and got himself comfortable. That involved piling up a couple pillows behind him to snuggle into, and pulling up the blankets to keep everything nice and cozy. The only thing that would have made it better would be to have someone to lean against and some more chocolate milk.

He eventually leaned back so he could get comfortable to play. He'd started a new character so he could keep himself occupied with the game for hours.

For the most part Kaleb was pretty quiet while Riley was playing, although occasionally he asked what things were or why Riley was doing something. Once or twice he held out the plate of apple slices to tempt his partner into helping him finish them off.

He was too busy not dying and trying to take over China to bother with the apples. Besides those were for Kaleb to eat. Scrunching his nose he paused for a moment before he went after more enemies.

Kaleb wasn't deterred the first time Riley refused a piece of apple, he just did it again a few minutes later. He nibbled away at them himself, and would probably be able to finish the entire plate off himself in an hour or so. Provided Riley didn't try and make him eat something else as well.

He curse at the game a few times when it got his a** handed to him but things and had to start levels over again but he seemed to be pretty good at it.

Whenever Riley got beat up, Kaleb offered him an apple slice in consolation.

"Look i'm not eaten yer apple." He looked away from he screen for a moment when he had the area cleared and looked at Kaleb.

Kaleb smiled brightly. "It's good though, you should have some," he chirped, wagging his tail a bit.

Kaleb took back the apples, and selected another slice to nibble on since he had finished the previous one. "This isn't breakfast, I had breakfast earlier." He paused for a second between apple nibbles. "Do you mind if I practice some of my magic while you play?"

Kaleb smiled. "I promise I won't move your furniture," he said before retrieving his book and pulling it into his lap. He flipped through the pages until he found a diagram he had been examining earlier, and then channeled a bit of energy to summon a shield in front of him.

He decided he should just pay attention to his game instead of watching Kaleb. That way he didn't get distracted and he could just not look if he moved anything.

With a sudden snap, the transparent shield turned a translucent white like the shield Kaleb had used to protect them under the falling building. This time he seemed to be able to hold it with less effort, and after a minute or so he let out an almost giddy giggle.
