Nori stood up from his comfortable position and stood near where Jamie was. It was terrible to see someone else suffering from inner turmoil. " Jamie, I don't know about the situation, but,... I'm sure it's not your fault." He was convinced. Jamie was a good person. He seemed carefree, but there was something deeper that he was hiding from the world-Nori was sure of it. It was perfectly fine if he didn't want to reveal it, but he shouldn't have to suffer alone.

Jamie looked up at Nori, chanced a half- smile. "Thats just it, though. Sometimes I think it was. Sometimes I think I really was asking for it, and sometimes I think I didn't deserve one bit of it," his eyes were dark and overflowing with emotions both good and bad. Good that he had someone to talk to, bad that he could remember it all so clearly. He was almost desperate to reach out and touch someone, but touching Nori, the way he saw it, would give him some of the pain, and Nori didn't deserve that in any way.

Jamie is opening up to me...he thought.
Although the current subject was uneasy, he felt a tad bit special that he was the one recieving this information. Especially from Jamie.
Nori held his hands behind his back until then, but he began tugging on the bottom of his shirt, the way a child would to ease nerves, avoiding eye contact. He wanted to say something meaningful and heartfelt, but there was nothing he could say. The expression on Jamie's face made him falter and he just ended up opening his mouth stupidly as the words froze in his throat.
He scratched the back of his head as his face felt hot.
"You would never deserve for anything sad to happen to you. "
He said it more to himself than to the one across from him.

Jamie smiled, a little bit more, a little bit sad. He felt so small, and it showed in his body, the way he held himself. He watched Nori tug at his shirt, watched the way his hands moved, then his blush. He stumbled over his words briefly, "That all depends on who you ask." But he couldn't hide the emotions behind his eyes, at least not like he could have earlier. Jamie couldn't hide anything with those memories pulled so forward in his mind.

" No, I'm sure of it." He replied, raising his voice a little. He said it in almost a stubborn way. "And, maybe you should believe that as well." His gaze fell somewhere to the left of where Jamie was standing, as his face steadily grew pinker. Nori didn't know why he felt so nervous around Jamie. If he was talking to anyone else, he would speak confidently, but Jamie seemed to be unreachable with Ian around, so it was hard to say words and know that they reached him.

Jamie lowered his head. "Some days, you're right. Its just a hard thing to believe when you've been told otherwise so many times." He sighed deeply, and reached out and wrapped his arms so gently around Nori, just to feel the contact. He wanted to feel something, anything, and Nori was a comforting presence in his mind.

At first Nori almost jumped in surprise at feeling Jamie's touch, but he lifted his arms and hugged him back. Maybe that was just what he needed- a hug.
Nori hoped that Jamie couldn't see or feel his face burning. oh,...oh no...could this be-? How embarassing... Do I like Jamie in that way? Maybe I'm just feverish... His head was swimming, but he didn't let go of his hold.

Jamie hugged him a moment more, but he released him almost as soon as he noticed the way he was making Nori feel. He was feeling very similar, but he pawned it off to lust. Nori was pretty, he was very pretty, and Jamie definitely wouldn't mind a chance with him, but not under these circumstances. "Thank you," he smiled gratefully, lowering his gaze, just a little bit embarrassed to look at Nori after that contact.

Nori considered himself as an idiot at this point for being so obvious. He tried to laugh off his nerves, but he only became fidgety. " It's nothing. Everyone just needs a little comfort sometimes." he smiled shakily, equally embarassed. Now that he had humiliated himself, he felt inclined to put on some cement shoes and go swimming in the nearest river, but opted for pouring another glass of milk instead. He tried to revert back into his normal self with difficulty. " I just wish I could do more, but," he took a sip. " I'm sure you'll confront your past demons someday Jamie."

"I've managed so far," Jamie watched Nori pour the milk, and went to the refridgerator himself, pouring a glass of water and drinking it slowly, holding the glass with both hands, thoughtfully. "But I guess everyone falls over sometime." He shrugged. He wanted, in some masochistic, victimizing way, to tell Nori what had happened, why he was feeling this way, but he didn't say anything. He wasn't sure he could take being pitied at that moment.

Nori stared at his glass, but stole glances at Jamie when he could. It seemed like he wanted to talk about it, but he didn't want to talk about it. It would have to be something serious then. If it was something painful to listen to, then he didn't know if he could stand it. And if Jamie hugged him again, he didn't know if he would be able to let go.
He himself, felt akward, but the silence with Jamie didn't feel akward at all.
" If you don't really want to talk about it, it's okay. You seem exhausted. " He spied the coffee mug that was already empty on the counter, and blamed that as the cause.

Jamie rinsed his water glass and returned it to where he had found the object, and smiled once more at Nori. "Thanks for listening," he wanted to hug Nori again, out of gratitude, but he wasn't yet certain of where his boundaries were. But he stepped closer, not too close, but close enough. "You're really a wonderful person, you know that?" He smiled, grateful merely that Nori was there, to be his friend at least.

" Anytime..." he replied, reverting back to messing with his hair. " I only hope I can be a good friend to everybody."The timid smile stayed on his face for a while. He felt normal again. That's right, we're all just friends. Nori was blatantly lying to himself about his feelings, but that was just his way. Even if he hated someone, he would tell himself that they weren't bad people. It seemed to make life smoother and easier that way.

Jamie smiled one last time, looking directly at Nori, then left, wandering the mannsion aimlessly. He needeed time to sort out what was going on. The sorting out was always the hardest part. Confronting people, doing what you needed to do, that was easy. It was the prelude, the working to get where you needed to be, that was time consuming and stressful and painful. But he didn't feel that relief he held earlier. Talking to Nori had brought to the forefront why he always ran away, why he never cared anything for himself, pretended to be happy and just a little bit arrogant, kept people at arm's length. He ran hands through his hair, held himself, fidgeted, and avoided eye contact with anyone he passed, just wandering, thinking, remembering.

Izzy sniffed but nodded. She quieted and the tears had ceased yet she remained sombered. She was glad now to be invited to be doing something with Kyrin but couldn't exactly shake the feeling of insecurity. Clinging to Kyrin's body, Izzy spoke softly, "Love you, Ky." Izzy neither knew or cared how she looked at the moment, with her hair wild, eyes red, and dress marked with wet tear stains, she just knew that Kyrin was with her and that was all she needed.
