Atticus couldn't keep still. He was so used to going out in the nights to hunt for the demons, that he hated just sitting in that room to do nothing. But if he left now, what would these people do? Would they follow him? Would they just turn the other cheek?

At this point, Atticus finally decided he didn't care. He stood up, making sure his weapons were secure, and then he headed out of his room. He didn't make it look like he was trying to rush as he headed downstairs, passing up a few people.

"I'll ugh...be back in a few hours. I have some stuff to do." he mentioned. As if THAT didn't sound very suspicious. Oh well... he thought to himself as he headed out the front door. The knew he was a demon hunter, so they shouldn't have been too surprised.

Atticus headed in the direction of the graveyard, wanting to see if any other demons or vamps were lurking around there as they seemed to do...then he would check alleyways and bars and the like.

Xoey lit up a cigarette, waving out the match and throwing it to the ground, stepping on it to make sure it was put it out. She inhaled and breathed a sigh of relief as the smoke filled her lungs. She blew a ring of smoke and pulled out her bow. She liked to shoot through the smoke rings. Xoey pulled the arrow back tight and prepared to release when she heard something break to her left. She put her bow down, string still drawn, and listened carefully. Another step, closer. She ducked behind a mausoleum, taking another drag on the cig perched on her lower lip.

When she saw him come past the tomb's corner, she jumped out, strung arrow to his throat. It had been a slow night, she'd get a little action. He looked human, but... "You're a demon." she stated simply. She could smell it on him. Something was a little different, though. A little bit human. But she'd never doubted her abilities to sense vampires and demons before. She pressed the arrow to his throat. "You have ten seconds to tell me why I shouldn't shoot you right now." She pulled another drag out of her cigarette, and spit it out, rubbing it into the ground with her boot. It was a waste, she sighed inwardly.

Atticus had made it to the graveyard and saw it practically empty. He knew looks to be deceiving though, demons could be anywhere still. He walked on leisurely, not to worried about being attacked until...

He tripped over a rock, stumbled a little bit and then regained himself. He was about to cuss himself out for being to loud when the dead were sleeping, but he didn't have time. Someone jumped out of nowhere, and he suddenly had an arrow pointed at his throat.

"What the...?" he started when he saw this woman.

"You're a demon." she said to him. "You have ten seconds to tell me why I shouldn't shoot you right now."

The arrow being pressed against his throat was not only starting to hurt, but it pissed Atticus off. He reached up quickly and grabbed the arrow, wripping it away from her bow as he said,
"Because I haven't done s**t to you." He threw the arrow on the ground and backed up a few steps, about to turn and walk away.

Xoey drew another arrow and strung it quickly, sending it into the man's calf. She readied another one. "Wrong answer." The slayer moved her feet into a holding stance. "Beings of evil don't need reasons to be killed. Now, I'd say you have about 5 more seconds. One..." He was fast. She was faster. "Two..."

Atticus shouted when the arrow entered his calf. He gritted his teeth as he lifted his leg up and grasped the arrow, wripping it out of his let and tossing it to the side.

He lifted up his pants to see to the wound, and right before his eyes, it was closing up slowly. It was healing faster than the sword wound the other night, but it wasn't SO fast.

"Why the hell would you do that?! You don't even ******** know me! I am NOT evil!" Atticus said as he tried with his best efforts to refrain from drawing his weapons on this girl. She was-obviously-out to kill the same things he was trying to kill...only this one got the wrong idea.

"Go ahead and shoot. Add to the many scars on my body. I'm not going to fight back, I have better things to do..." Atticus began to walk away again.

Andrew heard the phone pickup, and the chap answer. "Uh, hi. Wesley? Um, this is Andrew. Wells. Andrew Wells. Um, Faith was having some issues with a slayer, Kennedy. She wanted me to call you to see what you could do?"

Xoey watched the wound slowly heal on his calf. So much for wounding him. Still, she kept her bow at the ready. He turned to walk away. Well, she thought, she might not wound him, but she could cause pain. She let three arrows fly in a row, the first into his buttcheek, the second through his shoulder, and the third whizzing past his ear, landing in the ground yards ahead of him. "Then you can die. You think you're not evil?" She already had another arrow strung. Coey glanced backwards at her quiver. Still had plenty of ammunition. Good. "Demons, vampires, you're all the same. A scourge on the Earth that belongs to humans." She wasn't sure why she hadn't killed him yet. He was no different than them. Maybe his human face was stopping her. She'd always had a problem with demons who could blend in. "Show yourself as you are!" the black-haired girl cried out.

Steph paid the driver, and smirked, thanking him. She hurried to the the back, grabbing the last 3 bags and rushing in to set them down. She panted, as she got to the door, giggling to herself.
"Absolutely, but we deserve it. Right?"
Steph looked up to see Willow and Dawn standing there. She inhaled the perfume Dawn was wearing, and eyed the fair haired beauty. She shrugged and shivered as she began pulling out the gifts she had bought for everyone.

Phoenix was making little meticulous piles.
"Umhmm, we do... but we did good, man. We got everyone at least one whole outfit... Gotta love pre-school sales."
She held up a peasant blouse mad of seafoam green cotton, and looked over at Willow and Dawn.
"This would look really good on Willow, I think."

"I'd think it would."
Steph nodded to Phoenix, and stopped momentarily watching Willow and Dawn flirt it up? She stood wided eyed and then began back to sorting the stuff into the piles of her own.

Faith nearly jumps when she sees Kennedy's pinky move. "Kennedy, it's me Faith."

She didn't know whether to run downstairs and tell someone that Kennedy's finger moved or to stay on her side, hoping for her to wake up. Faith decides to stay.

((Sorry about that. I accidentally edited the post when I was going to post one. I wrote down what I remembered. So so sorry about this~Magalabuddy))

"Ah! Damnit!" Atticus shouted when the first arrow struck his a**. He winced at the stinging pain to his buttcheek, and right before he pulled it out, another hit his shoulder. He let out another string of cuss words to the air.

He turned and faced her as he pulled the first arrow out of his butt, and then the second from his shoulder, holding the arm wound tightly as it healed itself, and leaving the a** wound alone as it did too.

"What does that make you? To attack someone who is not fighting back, nor wishes to harm you?" Atticus asked the girl. "Does that make you good or evil?"

The wounds closed up and Atticus let go of his shoulder, showing the wripped shirt with the newly-added scar on his flesh. "Thanks, I didn't have enough of these." He ignored the demon comment, knowing full well that the Earth should belong to humans and humans alone.

"You sure you want to see me 'as I am'?" Atticus said. "Fine." he pulled off his long coat and let it drop to the ground. Then he yanked his shirt off of his body and let all of his scars show. "Are you happy now? This is what the human race and the demonic population can do to you."

Atticus slipped his shirt back on along with his jacket since it was quite cold out at the moment.

"You can keep shooting if you like. I will not fight back. I do not kill humans unless they are in league with demons...or if they are...Them."

((i'm sorry, i had to sidebar. miss michelle is snorting her a** off over "a** wound" lmfao. nice writing though, guys, i'm intrigued))

Xoey snorted as he bared his scars. Not exactly what she had meant, was it? She lowered her bow and loosened her arrow, putting it back into her quiver. No sense wearing out the string. "Am I to pity you for your wounds?" With her free hand she reached into her backpocket, pulling out a pack of cigarettes. She lit up, pushing the pack and matches back into her back pocket. "Whatever it takes to wipe you from the Earth." She didn't feel like talking, but something was holding her back from stabbing him through the heart. "What are you, anyways? Epoch demon? Undine?" Xoey chuckled a little, drawing a dagger from her boot, slowly to be sure not to cut her leg. She flipped it up and caught it so that the blade pointed into her arm, and started to walk towards Atticus. "Although I suppose it doesn't matter, they all end up the same."

Atticus chuckled, but it came out in a sarcastic tone. "I don't need your pity, I already have my own."

"You don't get it, do you?" he said, turning again and looking at her. "I am not a demon. I am human..." He paused for a moment, thinking his words over. "...or was. Now I'm just mostly human."

When he saw her approaching with the knife, he sighed.

"I will not try to hurt you, but I will stop you if you try to wound me again."
PostPosted: Mon Jan 15, 2007 4:22 pm

The slayer stopped. "Mostly human?" she said a bit bitterly. She laughed harshly when he threatened to stop her. "Stop me? I don't think you know who you're dealing with." Xoey smiled as she continued to slowly approach. She twirled the dagger around a bit in her hand, then lunged, bringing the blade around from her side to strike at his heart.

Atticus grabbed her wrist just inches before the dagger was near his heart. He raised her arm in the air and held it above their heads, making them only inches a part.

"Where did you learn how to fight?" he asked as he grabbed her other arm before she could use it to attack. "And your strength...you're one of those 'slayers' aren't you?"
