Hello All! I'm a new parent. I turned 21 years old this past April and have been married for 1.5 years. My daughter turned 3 months old yesterday and is absolutly beautiful though tiring.
I am loving being a mom. More so now that my little girl can smile, laugh, giggle, and talk her language at me. Back when she was just a blob it was hard but I knew I had many great moments awaiting me as she grew older.
I always knew being a mom would be hard, but I didn't think it would be as hard as it really is. Because Zelda has acid reflux, I am up every 1/2 hour at night and am Lucky to get 2 full hours of sleep every 2 days or so. On the weekends when the husband isn't working...he takes over and lets me sleep as long as needed. Why he doesn't help during the week? He's in landscaping and works from sun up to sun down and is lucky to get home eat, shower, and get 8 hours of sleep. So we trade off...I do weeks he does weekends, which generally is enough for me to get by! lol smile
I cannot wait until Zelda grows out of it.
I have a degree in Music and English Education and I teach piano, voice, bassoon, and flute lessons out of my home.

Hi,
My name is Carol, my birthday is Sept.1st. I have been married a very long time and have four children.Three girls and one boy. I live in here in Washington. I'm a new member of this guild and I'm very happy to be here. Just wish I could find just one person my age! Big age difference makes me feel like maybe I shouldn't be here on Gaia. I don't feel or look my age so I'm having a hard time with this.
Hi I'm new here too and much much older than the rest from the posts I've read in the first several pages....Then I ran across the above post from Carol (not sure If I quoted right, never done it before lol) YAY maybe I'm not the Oldest Person on Gaia after all??? Or at least not alone, LOL Also Carol I'm from Oregon Originally so I think we have a bit in common here.
OK That said....I am Tammi and I'm a 39 year old mother of 2 kids ages 10 and 14 plus a grown step-child. I am disabled which is why I have time for playing games like Gaia. I've found the distraction helps my pain better than any medication. I'm very new to Gaia and haven't got any friends here yet except my 14 year old daughter. I thought maybe this guild would be a nice place to start. My kids are a bit older than most of yours but it's not been so long yet that I dont remember a few tricks (and many frustrations) of parenting little ones so am happy to share ideas if I can be helpful or even just offer a bit of comic relief.
Nuff for now, I think. I'm pretty introverted in general but I make a good friend once you get to know me. Look forward to getting to know a few people here over time.

hi
i'm mel.
i'm a new mom... i'm 22 and my baby is 2 weeks old
(born oct 10th). i'm married and my husband is in the
army... my husband and i have been married for a little
over a year but have been dating since we were 16.
being a new mom, i feel totally unprepared and ignorant.
i feel very overwhelmed and exhausted and i'm not sure
that i'm doing anything right... confused

Well hello to everyone, my name is Katie. I've been married for 4 years and I have two little boys. My oldest is Lucas and my newest is Walter. I just turned 22 (Oct. 2 cool and I'm a stay at home mom. Lets see, I love being a mom and I think boys are so much fun, not too scary smile . I'm currently getting over another bout of mastitis so I'm a little cranky. By the way if anyone has any advice on how to not get it that would be appreciated. I breastfed my first for 18 months and never got a clogged milk duct and now within 6 weeks this is my second and it got infected so advice would be appreciated.

Well I am not new but I shall repost since I haven't been here awhile.
I went by the screen name Jadean Jaggerstone. I am 25, live in Iceland, am married and my real name is Brandi. I am a mother of two (six and two but the six year old lives with her father).
I have been a member here for who knows how long! I just have been rather busy with my daughter.
Kristín is 2 years 7 months and recently started nursery. She has been doing very well except the fact that she isn't speaking much at all. There will be a speech specialist coming to evaluate her and hopefully she will get the proper diagnosis and care she needs (if there is anything wrong).
Sorry if I posted all this in the wrong section but I noticed alot of new faces and I thought it would be proper to reintroduce.

Hello, I just joined this guild.
A bit about me:
I'm 27 years old, from Ontario, Canada. I have a son named Owen who will be having his first birthday on January 11, 2008. He is a really calm little boy. Almost always happy, and is a real charmer. I am engaged - getting married in the summer of 2008.
I have two cats, and two angel fish.
Some of my favorite past times are reading, watching movies, going on walks, and baking. My favorite food is chocolate, and my favorite beverage is coffee.
I am a fairly laid back sort of person. Easy-going and easy to talk to.

My name is Alex (Alexandra) I'm 37 and a mom of 4.
My oldest turned 18 four days ago, then I have Patrick who is 15, Anja who is 9 and the newest addition to my family Brandon..he will be 8 weeks old tomorrow.
I am happily divorced.
Kicking my ex out and staying on my own for 2 years until I found someone decent was the best thing I ever did.
I was born and bread in Germany, but moved to the UK 13 years ago.
My ex used to be in the army and after he got made redundant, he decided he wanted to go back to England and I decided to stay after we split up.
Guess that's all for now, if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask me anything you would like to know.

Ok I have read the rules and it said for me to post an intro here.
I am Melanie, from McAlester, OK and am in the upper age bracket here. I will be 50 in January. I have an 18 year old daughter who is wheelchair bound and introduced me to Gaia. She is a senior this year and I would love to have her energy on a bad day! I lost 4 boys to prematurity so my daughter is my pride and joy.
I have been with my hubby for over 30 years now. We got divorced after 27 years and a year later reconciled and remarried - will celebrate our 3rd anniversary in March.
I look forward to getting to know everyone.

For me it was the other way around, I introduced my kids to Gaia (my 2 oldest boy's have accounts here, they are 18 and 15)
When I first had internet, I was looking for sites which where save for children and signed up to several pages to test them...Gaia and Neopets are the 2 I got stuck with....lol

My name is Lynn. I'm 22 years old with a wonderful son named Logan. He will be 6 month on the 23. I live in Virginia. And I have to say that knowing that here are other parents here on Gaia makes me feel not so bad being here.
I have pic's of my wonderful fam in my profile. I think that its. Right now I'm sick so I need to go and get some rest before my hubby goes to work.

Hi Everyone! My name is Shawn, I'm the husband of Angel De Lys and the proud father of our two beautiful kids.
I turned 20 two months ago, and am so proud of my life. I've been married since October 2006 and have loved being a father as well as a husband.
I'm sure you all remember about my two munchkins, from Angel's introduction so I'll let that slide. Being a father has been such an exciting aspect of my life. Every morning, as I have my cup of coffee, I just love to run over to my son's room when he wakes up and tend to his needs. I've always watched shows where the father struggles to change the diaper (because attaching velcro is "oh so hard"), but for my it's such a delight. Making my kids laugh is something I'll never get tired of.
I think I'll be ready for a last one in a couple of years. But for now I'm going to spend some time with my two kids that I have now and wait until there a little older.
Anyways, that's pretty much it. Thanks for accepting me.

I am 21 years old and just moved in with my boyfriend. He is a divorcee with 2 wonderful children. The boy is 4 1/2 and the girl just turned 9. I am very lucky to have them all in my life.
