Best episode ever. I laughed so much during this episode. Like the whole gay thing, and then the antiquers thing, and Sam's poking her with a stick comment. I also loved the and no surfing for porn comment. And the Sammy collects dolls bit. But my favourite moment of the entire episode was definitely when Sam was drunk and he's like, "You're bossy. And you're short." I cracked up so much.
Man that was such a funny episode. But it was also really really sad and made me want to hug poor Dean.

it was a freaking awesome ep - and i'm one of those wincest people... and uh- this episode was just loaded.
and i was ROLLIN' with drunk sam.. too freakin funny.
i thought she was dead though, and i started bawling, afraid this would be the catalyst that started sam's downfall.. lord when she breathed? i was clapping and "yay" ing all over the place.
more importantly, why does she think we're gay?
ROTF.
and that little girl, the imaginary one? she's maya on the 4400
i love her, she's fukkin great.

Dang it, so once again I missed the first fifteen minutes because I forgot it was on. Grrr. I hate when the happens. It's because of that stupid break with no new episodes. I'm not used to it anymore. But, it's okay because my friend records it everytime. Whew. I nearly didn't get to see the whole gay thing. mrgreen
Anyways, I'm not sure what I thought of the episode. It was certainly good, but not one of my favorites.
I did get a kick out of the "poke her with a stick," "more importantly, why does she think we're gay," and "you're short" comments. xd They were funny.
The ending was pretty good too. Of course, aren't they going to demolish the inn? It would kinda suck to be Maggie and the grandmother then.
I also like the whole "you were drunk," "but you weren't" scene. That was sweet.
And finally, am I the only one who was screaming, "CPR! Try CPR you morons!" during the drowning scene?

Yah... this episode was pretty sweet.... but short... they cut off the last 2 minutes AGAIN.. I guess it's just me that gets annoyed with that.. but they could have used those two minutes on maybe.. focusing on Sam before he got drunk... I felt it was a bit too abrupt.. they find out the guy died, Dean goes down to ask questions and as soon as he gets upstairs, Sam is already drunk and ready to fall asleep... that just seemed too quick for me.. If they at least showed him taking a drink... or a few shots... or SOMETHING... that would have made it so much better.

This episode was AWESOME! It made me laugh soooo much! I liked the part where Sam was all drunk and when the lady thought they were gay and how dean was all... What? and stuffs. XD
At first I was freakin out cause there was this basketball game on and it went into Supernatural time. I was all "What!? Stupid basketball people I'm gonna kill you all!!!" But then it came on like 20 minutes later... XD

i've allways been scared of china dolls and this proves why lol they will come and attack you!! well... any sperit that is attached to them and the house that they are in xd

ateenangel Ah ha. So that's what's been happening. I thought the commercials seemed to go on forever.
It started to remind me of the time I watched Pocahantas on the Disney channel when I was little. It was like and hour and half movie and Disney had it take up a two and a half hour time slot. It was awful. Yah... the commercials got longer and they still end it earlier... I'm used to a show ending at like 9:57... they end it at like 9:52... and that's almost 10 min before another show.. It just irks me is all..

My room is full of stuffed animals and not one single doll. Playthings kind of reminded me of my aunt's house. She has this sort of old looking house, like the hotel in Playthings. And she's obsessed with dolls. She has at least 3 dolls sitting somewhere in each room. I remember when I slept over at her house I kept looking at this doll on a rocking chair near the fire place. I couldn't go to sleep half the night because I kept expecting the doll's head to turn and start staring at me. sweatdrop

That episode was great! I LOVED the part when Sam got drunk! It was so funny! Also I thought it was strange too that no one bothered to try mouth to mouth on the girl. Its like DO SOMETHING SOMEONE!! Also that whole dolls thing reminded me of the old movie called the dollhouse it was bassed on a book I think. Has anyone else seen it? It is a REALLY old movie. I was kind of disapointed however that they didnt go into much more into the main plot of the show. You know about Sam and the Demon and all....

Playthings is definietly one of my favorite episodes now; not only because I'm a wincest fan, (ignore that comment if you disagree, eh-heh) but also because it's scary scenes were so subtle and down-played they freaked me out more than some of the more action-packed episodes.
Like the very ending! EEP!
And of course, breaking news! Supernatural fans have come to discover that Sam CAN get cuter; just give him a little to drink, sit back, and giggle into your sleeves.
"You're bossy... and short."
Oh dear lord, that was funny.
And Dean says as he's helping him up, "Let's go, Sasquatch."
I also loved the part where Dean convinced the owner of the hotel that Sam collected dolls and loved to dress them up in little clothes. Poor Sam couldn't even protest. Haha!
