She flittered through the grass, popping up here and there, until she finally gets to the top. Here, the grass is shorter. She trots over to the knarled trunk of the tree, and steps up on one of the thick roots, happily standing there with the breeze playing on her face.

From here, there's a clear shot of the valley, including the massive lake down below. The waterfalls are to the right, while jungle and forest are to the left. And, of course, mountains all around, enclosing the valley. The breeze plays on the water down below. Ciyari inhales deeply.

::He came bolting up to the top after that, skidding to stop to stare about at the wonderous view the hill gave those atop it.:: "Wow......" ::He spoke breathlessly, looking towards the mountains then towards the lake below. It's sparkling waters forcing his heart to skip beats....:: "There... really is a view up here..." ::He managed to whisper, turning to stare at Ciyari with slightly wide eyes, still in shock.::
::He stared at her for moments on end, ears perked up straight....::

"Yeah," She agreed happily. "I think it's probably even better from further up the mountains - there's got to be a place above the waterfalls, but I'm not sure how to get to it yet...."

She shakes herself, and after several moments, forces herself to turn away from the beautiful sight. It makes her feel so free, somehow, although she'd never admit that aloud. She glances back over to the red-eyed lion cub...and finds him staring at her. One brow furrows, the other raises, and she gives him a cocky grin. "What?"

::He stood upon all four his paws, still gazing at her with those oddly colored eyes of his..::
::Hodari blinked, finally relizing that he had been staring at her. Ack! He hadn't intended to stare -that- long! He'd only wanted to stare a few minutes.. To get a good look at her! That had been all!::
::He.. had to admit, silently, to himself... She was pretty...:: "Nothing.." ::He said calmly, shifting his head to stare out at the magestic mountains.... The view would most definently be awsome up there.....::The waterfalls? Oh! Yeah.. most deffinently.. There HAD to be something up there.. But, he hadn't seen any way to get up there, other than to climb the rocky wall... And that seemed impossible!::He quickly shook his head to shoo away his jumbled up thoughts, inwhich had somehow all gotten tangled up in his mind.::

Seeming to follow his line of confusion - but, fortunately, not his earlier thoughts - she shakes her head slightly. "There's no way up from the cliff. It's just too steep, you'd have to be a bird or something to get up there. But...there might be an entrance from the caverns." She gnaws her cheek thoughtfully. "They're a maze, though. I've only seen some of the largest caverns...I think. There must've been others here 'fore me, since there are odd markings on the walls...an' the caverns glow." She's not entirely sure why they do this last, but finds it quite fascinating nevertheless. "But we'll find it someday. And then there's the lake, it's got good water in it, and fish, too."

::The caverns glowed? He had to see that!::"They... glow?" ::He asked, tilting his head a little, shaking it again to look down towards the lake... Hmm.. He still needed to wash the dirt off of him... Why not go for a slight swim?:: "Race you down there, bet I win!" ::He grinned crookedly as he turned to dash off down the hillside, towards the lake::

"Yeah. A blue-white color. More white than blue, though. They're very pretty." But creepy at times. Ciyari doesn't normally sleep there, not if she can help it, despite the fact that they may be the safest place in the lands. It's her firm opinion, although she doesn't say this aloud, that there are ghosts there.

At the suggestion, however, she laughs, ears tipping languidly. Without another word, she races after him, a little blur of light color as she races down towards the lake after him. It's a bit of a hike to the lake, and it's doubtful she'll be able to run all the way - but she can certainly try.

::The grey-white cub allowed his paws to pound against the ground as hard as they could, just as they had been when he had been running away from the goon of a hyena in that freakish place. He'd just began to pick up speed when he reached the lower half of the hill, rushing a little faster before kicking off the ground, landing in the water.::

::He shut his eyes as the force slowed him down, his paws kicking about as he lifted his head out above the surface, giggling a little.. Whoo! It felt so good to be near water... ::

The savannah and smaller hills to get to the water slow Ciyari down, so she's only jogging through the end of it, and by the time she actually gets to the water's edge, she's sleepy. Oh, well. One quick dip in the water, and then she'll sleep. She splashes into the cool water without hesitation, kicking up a large jet of spray. She jumps up and tries to catch it in her mouth, and comes back down coughing and soaking wet. Her fur is every which way; if it dries that way, she's going to look incredibly silly.

A Zebra nearby who wandered away from the herd Watched the fellow Lions in curiosity... Glalloping away back to her herd she hoped the lions had not heard her..Looking around she couldnt spot the herd anywhere.."Uh Oh..." Looking back at the lions she Thought they had not noticed her yet..Hiding beyond some grass She cowarly tried to blend in.

::Hodari laughed as he swam in a circle, diving under the water, swatting at the slight bubbles his movements made...::
::When he was done, he crawled out of the water, fur plastered to himself. He grinned, flopping onto his stomach, yawning..... urf... All that running he had been doing had his limbs worn out....... completely worn out.....::

"I've lived in the desert all of my life," he explained, shrugging. "Which admittedly, was not very long. But I've only just managed to leave... I was lucky enough to evade the Firekin, though I heard of them often, and saw them occasionally." He chuckled softly, flashing her a grin. "We can only hope most pride-cats are like yours, Laio."

"My pride-cat? Well, she did seem to like me, which is always a good thing.." Laio stifled a little giggle at the thought of the self-possessed Ciyari being 'her' pride-cat. They paced along in silence for another several minutes. Laio narrowed her darkblue eyes as the forest came into view once more, and the sparkle of water where the river that the waterfalls engendered spiralled out into the plains.
"Theriver is just there," She nodded, indicating the view ahead. "It's been so dry these last few seasons, some of it is not much more than a small stream. But this area has many waterfalls, many trees, several preybeasts. It is not too bad... except for this drought." She looked sideways at her companion. "Personally I prefer the plains out here... too many cats roaming the place. I need my own territory, I think. I was heading south. There is more space."

Msuko was chirping happily, bathing in a small patch of loose dirt she'd found near the waterfall, on the bank. Her wing still ached, but at least she could fly now and not just fall out of trees. Thinking of yesterday, the brightly colored little bee eater kree'd sharply, digging a flea out of her uninjured wing. Little biting things were worse than the stupid furballs that had attacked her earlier.

Kree'ing softly to herself, as if singing, Msuko hopped onto a rock so she could peer down at her reflection in the river. "Pretty bird," she chirped, glancing around cautiously. Never knew when one of those furry things would come along and try to nibble on her, as if she were an insect to be eaten!

Inzi sat attop a tree near the start of the falls. He had finnally chosed a spot for the nest. Most of the base had been built and was sitting nestled at the fork of two strong branches.

:Perfection at work: he chuckled to himself

The nest was far enough away from the falls that the babies would not fall in, and it was high enough in the trees that none of the other preditors could get at it.
