I felt closer than ever to finding Ace. But I really wasn't even any closer than when I was in the Hidden Wind village. I did have a plan, but it was just asking random people "have you seen this guy? Have you seen this guy?" That was the only way. "Excuse me, have you seen Uchiha Ace? He's a fighter--" "Yes, I've seen him. His fighting style was ugly. He really doesn't know the beauty and grace in fighting," said a man. "....Do all of you guys in the Hidden Nano act like this?" asked Exo. "No...just me. So do you want me to take you to Ace?" asked the man. "Hells yeah! Oh, where are my manners. Hyuuga Exo." "I'm Zaon Umoto. And I'm not gay!" he said. "I never said you were gay!" said Exo. "But you were thinking it. Just because I can appreciate a beautiful man, doesn't mean I like men. Understand?" asked Zaon. ".....Uh....yes?"

"So, Zaon, what're you gonna teach me?" asked Exo. "The well respected Hana Shuriken. When surrounded by flowers, the flowers become as hard as steel. You will have control of these hard shuriken-like flowers, which you can hurl at enemies," said Zaon. "Sounds cool, but some what---" Exo was cut short by Zaon. "Sound what gay?! Is that what you were gonna say? Because I won't teach you if you think I'm gay!" "I didn't say that! Why are you so sensitive?!" asked Exo. "I know what you're thinking! I'm sensitive because I'm gay! Well, I'M NOT GAY ALRIGHT!!! STOP CALLING ME GAY!! I DON'T LIKE----" "GEEZ! SHUT UP!!! IT WON'T STOP!!!" The argument continued long into the day. "You know something...we haven't gotten any training in. Can we put your sexual preferences aside so we can train?" "I guess so...let's learn!" said Zaon. He took me through the handsigns, the formation, the whole nine yards. But it still felt weird being taught by a gay guy. When I think about it, some of the worlds greatest people are gay. Prince, Little Richard and Drago (just kidding, don't kill me)

I almost had it. This technique wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. But then again, something always does happen that puts me or somebody on danger. I have to save said person, and during the last post at the end of the fight, I do the technique and save us all. That's how it always is, and that's the way I like it. No villain is ready for me!
"You're flowers aren't quite hard enough, Exo. You need to concentrate more," said Zaon. Concentrating wasn't a big issue anymore, since I had already found my happy place, which soothed and relaxed my mind. "No problem. I can concentrate more," said Exo. "Well then, don't talk about it, do it!" said Zaon. "Fine, fine!" "Or...we can have a little sparring match! How about it?" asked Zaon. "I don't hit girls...I'm just kidding, man. Let's rock!" said Exo as he prepared to summon Spyder. "Is that a summon that you're about to do?" asked Zaon. "Maybe....okay yeah. Is that allowed?" asked Exo. "Only if I can summon my partner!"

I didn't know what Zaon had in store. But I had faith in Spyder, he and I were a team. He was the only thing I had that tied me to Avalon. Oh yeah, and Rylen.
"Are you ready?" asked Zaon. "Hell yeah! Let's get this show on the road, man!" said Exo. They both started their handsigns at the same time. A large, blue vortex appeared over Zaon's head. A small shape, no bigger than Zaon was in the distance. Exo couldn't get a good look. It then rushed out at Exo. It was an angel, his summon was an angel. Before the summon reached Exo and attacked him, Spyder emerged from the ground and slapped the summon into a tree. "Is that the best you can do?" asked Exo. "Come on, Wingz. Let's show him the beauty and grace of a true a** kicking!" said Zaon. "Spyder, we should let them know how we get down. If we haven't already!" said Exo. "Are you insane? This fight was over before it started!" said Zaon. "I'll say!" said Exo.

Spyder charged at Wingz. The angel summon, Wingz, drew a large, golder trident and dashed towards Spyder at the same time. Before they reached each other, Spyder stopped and shot a ball of web at Wingz. It knocked him back and stuck him to the ground. Zaon ran toward Exo (Exo was on Spyder's back) and attempted a headbutt manuever, but Exo used thunder ball technique and knocked him close to Wingz. Zaon grabbed Wingz's trident and threw it at Spyder's leg. "We can take that! Right Spyder?!" said Exo. Spyder started to slowly decrease his altitude, until he was lying on the ground, injured from that hit to his leg. "You've taked a hit like that before! What the hell's the matter with you, Spyder?" asked Exo. "The magic inside of the trident wingz uses, injured him more than usually," said Zaon. "Eat this!" yelled Exo, hurling another Lightning ball at him. It missed and hit a nearby flower bed. Pedals were flying everywhere. "This is where I find out if I mastered Hana Shuriken!" Exo said to himself.

The flower pedals were falling fast, so that's how I had to think. Wingz had broken free from spider's web trap. And with Spyder injured, it was like two against one. Zaon had already started to do the handsigns neccesary to use hana Shuriken.
Exo hurried and tried to catch up with Zaon. But Zaon executed the technique first. A huge wave of steel like flower pedals were heading for Exo. Spyder took the hit. "Hmm...touching..." said Zaon. "SPYDER!!! ARE YOU OKAY!!!" yelled Exo. Spyder layed there. "Here we go!!!!" he had completed the handsign and sent a large stampede of pedals towards Zaon. Zaon did the same. Most of the pedals countered each other, but others hit the fighters. After the pedal storm stopped, the two men stood there. Zaon fell to his knees. "Good job.....Hidden Leaf." "What?" asked Exo. "Lee and Ace are in the Hidden Leaf," said Zaon. Exo ran to the docks.

Nemu stepped off the ferry and looked around. So, this was Nano. From what she could see already, she liked it. The aromas of flowers filled the air, making everything smell fresh and clean. She took in several large lungfuls, enjoyign the new scent. She ventured further into the city, to see the sights. She'd never left the Village Hidden in the Leaves before, this was as much a vacation or adventure as it was anything else. She was going to live it up before heading back home! The village was nice, and very peaceful. Nemu sat back in her seat and sighed. It was so nice here, she'd have to remember to visit some other time. Getting to her feet, she payed for her snack and left the restaurant. (Hyakka Ryouran: 1/6)
Nemu had been walking for a little while, and had thoroughly explored a small section of the city. Even though she'd scarecly covered a tenth of it, she was already getting a feel for what this village was like. She hadn't seen any arguments or fighting, everyone seemed so amiable and peaceful. It was nice, a good break from the ehctic life at Konoha. She found herself at the edge of the village, and stopped short. In a huge field in front of her was a seemingly endless array of flowers! She smiled, they were soooo pretty! She couldn't help it, she flopped down on the ground, feeling the soft blossoms tickle her cheek. There were some flowers at Konoha, sure, but nothing like this! She was really glad she'd came! (Hyakka Ryouran: 2/6)
Nemu awoke with a start, sitting bolt upright. Where was she?! She couldn't remember, and what was that smell? Flowers? Oh yeah, she'd journeyed to Nano, to take a little break from training. Sometimes she had trouble remembering things right when she woke up. She must have dozed off while lying in the flowers. Getting to her feet, she dusted herself off. She didn't know what time it was, but if the sun was any indicator, it was almost midday. She wasn't really hungry yet, between a large breakfast and that snack, she was good for at least a while yet. So instead of worrying about lunch, she decided to wander a little more. (Hyakka Ryouran: 3/6)
The more she saw, the more Nemu came to love this quiet little village. She'd heard it was peaceful, but just 'peaceful' didn't begin to describe it. It was serene, it was tranquil, it was all of those. She could feel her stress and worries wafting away on lilac-scented clouds. Why had she ever gotten so bent out of shape about becoming a ninja, anyways? It'd happen, in time, there was no need to rush. She had to stop and smell the roses. And the daffodils, and the tulips, and the poppies... Nemu shook herself alert, she'd almost dozed off again. Maybe this place was a little more dangerous than she thought? If it was too peaceful, she could just fall asleep without any warning. Admittedly, that could happen anywhere, but it felt more dangerous here. (Hyakka Ryouran: 4/6)
Nemu found an empty bench near the center of the village and took a seat. She wasn't tired, not hardly, but the slow pace of the village was already getting to her. She just wanted to take a break and watch life go by for a while. She watched the people, they looked content. She watched the clouds, so big and fluffy. She even watched a stray cat, Even it looked happy and cared for. All in all, this place almost felt like heaven. She wondered if it would be worth moving here permanently? Sure, she'd be leaving all her friends behind in Konoha, but she could probably go and visit every once in a while, right? Or they could come visit her here, that would be even better. Maybe they'd come to like this place as much as she did, and then they could move in too? (Hyakka Ryouran: 5/6)
Nemu yawned tiredly. How could she be tired, she hadn't really done anything today? Oh yeah, that was right, her narcolepsy. Oh well, it wasn't a big deal. She could take a nap if she wanted, she wasn't going to miss anything. She could spend all day in bed and it wouldn't matter one bit. Wait, a bed. In all her fun, she hadn't even seen about gettign a place to stay. She hadn't found an Inn yet, she should probably ask before it got dark. If it was dark, she could bump into something, and that wouldn't be fun at all. No, she probably had to get up now, what a bother. Well, maybe one more nap wouldn't hurt. Just close her eyes, just for a minute. What could it hurt? She'd get up in just a little bit. (Hyakka Ryouran: 6/6)

Nemu woke up, feeling even more confused now than ever. What was going on? Her whole mind felt fuzzy, even more so than usual. Somehow, she got to her feet, and noticed she had rolled off of the bench she had been sitting on before falling asleep. The day had proceeded without her, it was not getting closer to night. She carefully got to her feet, making tentative steps until she was steady enough to walk unaided. She didn't know what had happened, but at least it seemed to have worn off by now. (Hana Shuriken: 1/6)
As she walked, Nemu felt a little bit better, but she still felt a little woozy. And she was so hungry! She knew she'd eaten good earlier, but it felt like she hadn't eaten anything all day. Now she had two tasks to do, first she had to find a place to stay, then she had to find something to eat. No, wait, scratch that, food first, then a bed. She looked around, wondering if she should head back to that same restaurant she'd been to earlier. Their food had been really good, if she remembered right. But where was it? She couldn't really remember, she hadn't been here long enough to memorize the area. (Hana Shuriken: 2/6)
Nemu began going up and down various roads, trying to find a part of town she recognized. She didn't see too many people, otherwise she'd just ask someone for directions. That, and she didn't know any of the names of places here yet, not even the restaurant she had been at. So she just kept searching. It wasn't a huge village, it couldn't take that long to search, right? She should be able to find what she needed before it got dark out. At least she hoped so. If not, then her first night away from home wasn't going to be enarly as fun as she had originally thought it would be. (Hana Shuriken: 3/6)
There it was! She'd been searching for a while, and now she finally managed to find the same restaurant she'd been at earlier. Going inside, she wasted no time in finding an empty seat and sitting down. Waiting for service, she tried to think of somethign that sounded good. Nothing immediately came to mind. Maybe someone could recommend a regional specialty? As she thought, a waitress approached, ready to take her order. She still hadn't decided, so she asked for some advice. The waitress ran down the list of specials for the day, and Nemu listened closely. Lots of the different foods sounded good, but what one should she try? (Hana Shuriken: 4/6)
Finally, she decided on a simple meal. Just a light vegetarian fare, prepared the local Nano style. It sounded pretty good, and substantial enough to be a real meal. She placed her order, and then had to wait just a short amount of time as she waited for it to arrive. As she did so, she got up from her seat and struck up a conversation with a waiter who didn't seem to be busy at the moment. She asked if he could recommend a good palce for the night, for a travelling kunoichi. He had to think about it, but he did think of one, and was even nice enough to draw her a map to get there. (Hana Shuriken: 5/6)
Just as she sat down again, her food arrived, and she dove in. She had worked up quite an appetite, although she still wasn't precisely sure why. Maybe it was just from the excitement of moving to a new place for a time, seeing new faces and new places. But whatever the reason, hopefully it wouldn't continue her entire time away from home. If she were to start putting on weight... Well, it was something to be avoided at all costs. Once she was finished with her meal, she payed the bill along with a tip, and left, eager to get to her home away from home. (Hana Shuriken: 6/6)

Even with a map, it took Nemu a little bit of work to track down the Inn that the waiter had recommended. The Sleeping Lion, hm? It certainly had an interesting name, at least. Hopefully it had comfy beds. As she thought this and tried to follow the map, she started nodding off. Shaking herself awake, she tried to spur herself on to faster movement, to find the Inn before she had to give up for the night and sleep outside. She liked beds, she didn't want to sleep not on one if it could be avoided. But it all came down to how fasts eh could find this Inn. (Hyakka Seihou: 1/7)
Well, it had taken some time, but she'd finally managed to track it down. Looking up at it, she felt a little surprised, it was a bit more posh than she would have thought. Hopefully she could still afford to stay! At least she had thought ahead and payed for the return ferry ticket, so if she did run out of savings she could still get home. Being stranded in a strange country with no money or friends, that was one of the worst travel accidents she could think of! Hopefully she was just worrying about nothing, maybe everything would work out? (Hyakka Seihou: 2/7)
Ouch, the room had been more expensive than she had hoped. Not by too much, but it was the cheapest room the place had. She decided to only pay for the one night, in case she was able to find a cheaper place in the morning. With that taken care of, she went directly to her room. Stepping inside, she immediately got ready for bed, changing into her jammies and brushing her teeth. It didn't take long, she was rushing in order to get to sleep that much sooner. Turning the lights off, she clambered into her bed away from bed, closed her eyes, and fell asleep. (Hyakka Seihou: 3/7)
What was that!? Nemu jolted awake with a start, an irrational fear coursing through her. Something wasn't right! She tried to figure out what it was, she just felt scared and uncomfortable. She didn't know why, she hadn't eaten anything weird before going to bed, and she hadn't had a nightmare, at least not that she could remember, anyways. Then it finally hit her, the problem lots of travellers had. This was her first time travelling, no wonder she'd been caught unawares. She was in a different bed from her own, and it felt different. Sure, it was comfy, but it wasn't hers. She sighed, and tried to calm down. Getting up, she got a drink of water, then went back to bed. (Hyakka Seihou: 4/7)
After that, morning came uneventfully, nothing else had happened to disturb her slumber. She woke up, and went about her daily ritual, trying to adjust to the different things in this village as compared to Konoha. They weren't too different, but just enough to get noticed. The water, for instance, tasted a little bit different. Lots of people said water had no taste, but it did. All water tasted a little different, and it was never more apparant than when someone was travelling. But it wasn't a big deal, she could get used to it, probably just in time to leave. (Hyakka Seihou: 5/7)
Nemu packed up her belongings, just in case she didn't return to her room tonight, and set out. She still hadn't explored most of the village, there was undoubtedly a lot she hadn't seen yet. She had payed for her room the night before, so she went ahead and stayed until checkout time, stopping for a quick bite of breakfast before leaving the Inn. It had been a pretty good place, although abit more pricey than she would have liked. She'd have to keep an eye out for somewhere else to stay. If not, then she wouldn't be able to stay here very long, her vacation would be cut short. (Hyakka Seihou: 6/7)
It was another beautiful day, the sun was shining bright over a clear blue sky with fat white clouds. She enjoyed the warmth for an instant before continuing on, taking her time to explore the village a little more closely. She started with the area she'd already been at, and spread out, taking new streets she'd missed the day before, peeking in various shop windows and chatting with the shopkeeps. All in all, she didn't really do anything except enjoy her time off. And compared to her last time she'd tried taking a day off, this one was going much, much, much better. If she could just find a cheaper place to stay, it'd be perfect! (Hyakka Seihou: 7/7)

Nemu had been exploring the village for most of the morning, she'd already managed to find a lot of places she'd like to spend more time exploring. But before she did that, she still had to see about finding a new Inn. Was the Sleeping Lion the only Inn in town? No wonder the prices were so high? Then again, Nano was supposed to be a wealthy village, maybe that's why the prices were high? In the end, the reason didn't really matter, the result did. If it really was the only Inn, then she was sort of wasting her time. But then again, she would have wanted to explore more of the village anyways. So in the end, it only determined the length of her stay. (Kyouka Sai: 1/8 )
Oh, what was this? This place looked interesting. Nemu couldn't help herself, she went ahead and stepped inside. It looked to be maybe a book store? She could see lots of shelves, but what was on them? Once she was inside, it took her eyes a moment to adjust to the lower lighting, as the sun had to filter through the windows and the shades. It made the entire place look kind of dusky and dusty. She poked around for a while, but didn't find anything to really grab her attention, so she moved on. She would remember it, though, maybe if she had more time, she'd stop back for another look. (Kyouka Sai: 2/8 )
Nemu decided to take a break, she'd been doing a lot of walking already this morning. If she did too much, maybe the same thing that happened yesterday would happen again, and it had just been confusing. She'd rather avoid having whatever it was happen again. That loss of focus and control was a big deal, both to her as a ninja, and to her as a regular person. She tried looking around for a good place to stop and relax, but it seemed she'd wandered into a more residential part of town. Sure, she could probably find a place in this area, but it'd be easier to head back to the main part of the city, where there were all those benches and such. Ah well, her rest would have to wait just a little bit longer. (Kyouka Sai: 3/8 )
Nemu sat down gratefully, sighing a little as she leaned back. She wasn't really that tired, but there was no need to push herself until she actually was, right? If that happened she could be caught flat-footed when something big happened. As to what that something big might actually be, she couldn't say, but it could happen. That much she knew. Things could always happen. She decided to just people-watch for a while, maybe spot someone who might know where a different Inn was. There were a fair bit of people going back and forth, none of them looked very busy, but quite a few of them still looked like they'd rather not be bothered. She'd wait a bit longer, maybe she'd still find someone she could talk to. (Kyouka Sai: 4/8 )
It had taken some time, but eventually Nemu found someone who looked nice enough that they wouldn't bite her head off if she asked them a question. She went up to them, and after getting their attention, went straight for her dilemma. She was a traveller, needed a place to stay, and cheaper was better so she could stay longer. They thought for a moment and gave her an answer. Try the 'Sleeping Lion'. She mentioned how she already had, it was a titch pricey for her. This stumped them for a little bit, then they remembered a second Inn. It was kind of out of the way, and it wasn't as nice as other Inns, but there was another one she could check. (Kyouka Sai: 5/8 )
Nemu felt up to moving around again, so she stood up, stretched a little and enjoyed a ray of sunshine, basking in it's warmth. Ready to resume her trek, she set out, hoping the directions she had gotten would be good enough to get her to her location. On the way, she manahed to find an outdoor food cart selling oden. Even though it really wasn't the season for it, it smelled good so she stepped up and had an impulsive lunch. After enjoying her repast, she paid and was on her way once more. She hadn't been walking much longer when she came to a stop. Was that it? (Kyouka Sai: 6/8 )
Nemu approached the building in question, wondering if it could possibly be the Inn that she'd been told about. It looked okay, but a little... unpolished. Okay, that was being nice, it looked abandoned. She went up to the doro and tried to enter, but it was locked. Had this been a wasted trip? She sighed, and noticed a small paper taped to one of the windows. Moving closer, she glanced over it, giving it a quick read. Oh, that's what happened. The owner had apparantly gone on a vacation of their own, and hadn't returned yet. It was quite a while since they'd been gone, maybe something had happened? Whether malicious or just jappenstance, the end result was that this had been another dead end for her. Oh well, back to the Sleeping Lion. (Kyouka Sai: 7/8 )
Nemu had been walking for a while, when she realized that she was being followed. She wasn't sure who it was, so she tried to ignore them. Maybe it was just a coincidence, maybe they just needed to go the same way she was going. But no, she took a few extra turns, looping about in a circuitous route that led her away from the Inn. Even so, she still felt that same presence behind her. She quickened her pace a little, hopefully not enough to be noticed, and turned a corner. Pressing herself flat against the wall, she waited to see if anyone would fall for such an obvious trick, to show who they were. Of course, they hadn't. She waited a slong as she dared, then resumed moving. There it was again, she could feel a pair of eyes boring a hole in her back. Who was it, why were they following her?! (Kyouka Sai: 8/8 )

By now Nemu was getting really nervous, those eyes were just not letting up! She could feel them on her, watching her every move, but no matter what she tried, she couldn't escape them. She tried everythign she could think of, stopping and starting abrubtly to catch their footsteps, running blindly, quick whirling around to see them, but nothing worked! Could it just be her nerves, had something tensed her up? No, this was a vacation, she'd been enjoying her time off. If not that, then what was it? She was beginning to get worried, why didn't they show themselves?! (Hikari Fukou: 1/6)
Nemu finally found a place she thought could work, it looked like a dead-end alley but was in fact more of a cul-de-sac, it opened into a larger area than it appeared to be. She entered, moving carefully as she still felt those eyes on her. There were more of them now, she was sure of it. Her senses were nowhere near those of a true ninja, but even someone like her could tell she was being followed by more than one. If it came to a fight, she was done for, there was no doubt about it. Escaping obviously wasn't working, she didn't seem to have an option. Maybe she could cause a distraction and try to get away? It wouldn't be easy, they seemed very skilled. (Hikari Fukou: 2/6)
Nemu hid behind a small flowering shrub. She hadn't been able to find a good hiding spot, this was the best place she'd been able to find in the short amount of time she had allowed herself. She wasn't sure if it had worked or not. She couldn't feel the eyes on her anymore, but it was still too soon to assume that meant she had escaped. She would have to stay hidden as long as she could, making sure to do her best to be silent and not move a muscle. Oh no, not now! She felt a wave of tiredness wash over her, and in spite of herself she found her head nodding. No, this was not good! (Hikari Fukou: 3/6)
Nemu woke up, and instantly tried to determine what had happened since she had dozed off. She could feel she was on her side, but that could have just been from falling asleep. Had anything else changed? No, it didn't appear so. She still felt alright, nothing appeared changed in her surroundings. She couldn't feel the eyes on her anymore, had she actually managed to fool her followers with this ploy, even with falling asleep? It was doubtful, but if that was what had happened, then she was very lucky. She looked around once more, trying to figure out just how much time had passed since she had fallen asleep. She hadn't known the time when she had first gotten drowsy, so it'd just be a guess at best, but maybe she could tell what time it was now by the sun? (Hikari Fukou: 4/6)
Nemu finally thought she had figured the time out, it looked like maybe an hour had passed her by while she had slept. Not so bad, sometimes her naps went much longer. She still couldn't feel the eyes on her, and finally began to hope that she had somehow managed to escape them. Getting to her feet, she stretched and walked carefully out of the one way road, trying to keep her senses alert so she wouldn't be spotted again. It wasn't easy, she wasn't good enough to be able to avoid being spotted by any but the most novice of ninja. Even so, it seems she was undetected for the moment. This was her chance, her chance to put some distance between herself and this part of town! (Hikari Fukou: 5/6)
Nemu sighed. She felt better, now that those eyes had stopped following her. She sat at the same restaurant she had first visited, and sipped at a drink. She thought back to all that had happened, it must have just been her imagination, maybe with her time off she was getting distracted too much. It was certainly possible, maybe she should just do something to occupy herself for a bit. That was good, she hadn't even been able to think fo why someone would have been bothering to follow her of all people. Now that she was reassured, she felt a little more like her normal self. That is to say, of course, that she was sleepy. The hot drink, combined with her relaxation, began to make her drowsy. It was getting a little late, she should probably head back to the Sleeping Lion and see about getting a room. Maybe get it for a few days, since her Inn search hadn't gone so good. (Hikari Fukou: 6/6)

Things seemed like they were back to normal now, and Nemu was trying to put that inceident out of her memories. She was on vacation precisely because she didn't want to worry about all this sort of thing. She finished her drink and enjoyed the ambience of the place a little longer before paying her bill and moving on. Getting up, she wondered if she should just go to her room, call it quits early, and go to sleep. That sounded pretty tempting, so she set out, headed for the Inn. She'd already made this route a few times before, so she got there a little faster than she otherwise might have. Stepping inside, she wondered if everything would go smoothly. (Hyakka Hyouran: 1/7)
Thank goodness! She was still a little on edge from earlier, so she had beenw orried that the Inn might have been booked up, or something like that. But apparantly it was the slow season, there were still lots of room for rent. She was even able to get the same room she'd used the night before. It may not be her own room at Konoha, but at least it would be somewhat familiar. She went ahead and went to her room, stepping inside and closing the door behind her. She sighed, and slumped against the inside of her door, falling to the floor. She had had a pretty rough day, especially considering nothing had actually happened. (Hyakka Hyouran: 2/7)
Well, when things were getting stressful, there was only one thing a girl like her could do to really calm down. A bath! A nice hot bath, to wash away the stress and worries. Unfortunately her room didn't have a private bath, so it looked like her adventure for the day wasn't done quite yet. One last stop before bed, and then she'd be all set to sleep the night away. But as for now, to the onsen! Nemu grabbed her bag and left her room yet again. Wow, it felt like she'd been doing nothing but coming and going all day! She went back down to the concierge and asked for directions to the onsen. After getting them, she set out for her Mission: Bathtime. The trip was totally uneventful, she got there without mishap. (Hyakka Hyouran: 3/7)
Ah, the onsen. One of the things that gave someone true happiness, they were truly a gift from the gods. Just hot water, really, but the effect it had on people was staggering. Just the thought of being in an onsen was enough to help Nemu relax, and she hadn't even gotten there yet! She did get there after a little confusion, she had turned right when her directions said left, but otherwise nothing bad happened. Looking up at the entrance to the onsen, Nemu couldn't help but smile. She hadn't been to a pbulic bath house in quite some time, but she remembered it with fond memories. Stepping inside, she wasn't disappointed, it looked a lot like the one she used to frequent in Konoha. A large counter ran the long way through the center of the lobby, dividing men and women to sepearte sides. Thank goodness it wasn't mixed bathing! (Hyakka Hyouran: 4/7)
Nemu went ahead and gave the person on the counter her fee, and then went into the changing room. She got ready pretty quickly, exchanging her clothes for a towel and wash set. She stepped through the next set of doors into the actual bath, and was struck at just how beautiful everything looked. The steam rising from the water, the faint scent of mineral-rich water and the burbling sounds from the lion head fountain in the corner, the wave of heat she could feel just stepping into the room. She sighed, already feeling more relaxed, and moved off to the side a little. It took a little time, but she'd scrubbed up and rinsed herself off, then slipped into the hot water. Ooh, it felt wonderful! (Hyakka Hyouran: 5/7)
Nemu lounged back, resting her head against the water's edge. The feeling of the hot water against her skin was absolutely leeching the tension from her, she felt rejuvenated. Why hadn't she done this earlier? This was even better than the one at Konoha, now that she thought about it. But she didn't want to think, she wanted to veg. She shoved the thoughts out of her mind, closing her eyes and submerging a little further, making bubbling sounds as she exhaled under water. She sort of zoned out for a while, not quite awake, but not yet asleep. She was just sort of there. And that suited her, this was the sort of relaxation she had been missing. She raised her head a little so she could breath in, and sighed in contentment. This was heaven! (Hyakka Hyouran: 6/7)
After a good long soak, Nemu finally had to admit, enough was enough. It was possible to have too much of a good thing, after all. And heaven forbid she overdose on onsen, and get bored of them! So she slipped out of the water and dried off, pulling on a big fluffy robe. Stepping out into the lobby area, she grabbed a drink from a nearby cooler, it had been part of the fee she'd payed. Yum, milk coffee, the perfect thing to finish off the lingering heat from a long bath. She felt at least three years younger, this had been just what she needed. She bid the hostess a farewell, promising to visit again before she left the village, and went to her new home. As relaxed as she was, it felt like no time at all before she hopped into bed, and fell asleep, utterly content. (Hyakka Hyouran: 7/7)

Nemu woke up, sitting up slowly in her new bed. Something felt wrong, she didn't know what it was. She was just hit by this sudden wave of desperation and depression. She reached a hand up to touch her face, and it felt slick with tears. Had she been crying in her sleep? What would have made her cry, she had never really had bad dreams before? She couldn't even remember her dream now that she'd woken up, had it been scary, or frightening? She couldn't say, just that it made her feel bad. She didn't like feeling like that, it made her feel less confident about herself, like she was nowhere near as good of a ninja as she was supposed to be. (Aquatic Defense: 1/9)
But feelings were kind of like dreams. Insubstantial, they couldn't really be seen or controlled, and they could come and go very easily. As the last remnants of her terrible dream faded away into her subconsciousness, she began to calm down, to feel a little more like her normal self. Looking over at the clock next to her bed, she saw it was still early. Never one to miss an opportunity, she lay back down, to try and get some more sleep. But try as she might, sleep didn't want to meet her halfway, she just lay there awake for a time. It was rather frustrating, all she wanted was a few more hours of sleep. (Aquatic Defense: 2/9)
Finally, she had no choice but to get up. It was obvious that she wouldn't be able to go back to sleep, so she might as well stop wasting time and start her morning. Getting up, she washed up and brushed her teeth. Combing her hair, she tried to think of what all she had to do for the day. There wasn't much, being on vacation made her schedule very open. But she'd been getting sloppy lately, maybe she could start a morning exercise system, to help give her some kind of focus? (Aquatic Defense: 3/9)
Nemu changed out of her jammies into her second set of clothes. She'd have to find a way to wash her other set, along with her jammies, she wasn't very fond of the idea of wearing dirty clothes during her time off. Maybe this village had a washing machine? She'd have to ask the Innkeeper, see if they knew. This village seemed layed back enough that something as time efficient as a washing machine seemed pretty likely, but you never knew. It would be just her luck to find out that this was one of the villages that preferred doing things the old-fashioned way, by hand. (Aquatic Defense: 4/9)
It's not that she couldn't do washing by hand, it was just a bit of a hassle, never mind her own particular brand of danger. Just like having soup, or even bathing, anything involving an exposure to water posed a drowning hazard to her. If she fell asleep leaning over a river or wash basin, well the results might not be so good. Hence her natural disinclination towards washing her clothes by hand. Luckily Konoha had washing machines, that made her life a lot easier. If not for that, she might not be around in the here and now! (Aquatic Defense: 5/9)
Of course, she had lived dangerously in the past, even as recent as yesterday. Water, and large quantities of it, posed a serious hazard to her but she found herself going out of her way to submerge herself for long stretches at a time. It may not be a wise choice, but she enjoyed baths much too much to be willing to spend any less time in them. Especially hot springs! The very idea was ridiculous! She'd continue risking her life by enjoying bath time, consequences be darned! Speaking of which, she could already feel the siren call of this village's onsen calling to her. (Aquatic Defense: 6/9)
But no, if she went there now, the rest of her day would be pretty much shot. As much as she'd like to, she knew it wasn't such a good idea. Maybe after she'd done everything else she had to do for the day, she'd head over to the onsen. But for now, she had other things to take care of. Speaking of which, if she didn't get started, she'd never finish. She put her things away and set out, locking the door behind her. She had decided she'd go ahead and do a little exercise before breakfast, to make sure she was fully awake. Never mind her teachers had told her she should do so every morning. (Aquatic Defense: 7/9)
She still wasn't very familiar with the town's layout, so she planned her course carefully before even setting out. At the very least, she could do a few laps around the outside of the village. Except for a few places like the docks, she could stay on the village's edge and not have any major obstructions in her path. Not that obstructions or obstacles were bad things, but it never hurt to be aware of any difficulties ahead of time and take measures to ensure they wouldn't cause undue problems later. Plus, she was still on vacation, so why not take it easy? A run could be just a run. (Aquatic Defense: 8/9)
Nemu set out a short while later, turning at a right angle from the Inn to head for the nearest edge of the village. It didn't take long, she was in pretty good shape, after all. She started out at a mild pace, letting herself build up to greater speeds. She moved her arms in time with her legs, using an opposite rhythm to help balance and momentum. She ran easily, even with taking the past few days off she hadn't fallen that much out of shape. She could feel her lungs fill with each breath she took, as she felt more and more of her body start to feel more alive. (Aquatic Defense: 9/9)

She'd been running for some time now, and hadn't really gotten tired yet. Sure, she'd been taking it easy, not moving terribly fast, but still! It made her feel a little better about herself, if nothing else she was a good runner. Not a terribly useful skill under most occasions, but it did come in handy from time to time. She slowed for a moment as she yawned, and frowned a little. Of course, no matter how good she became, with that little problem, she could never become truly great. (Bubble Trap: 1/6)
But that was alright, she didn't really care about becoming great. Sure, it'd be nice and it could make things more fun, but it would also likely cause more trouble than she'd be willing to deal with. Why, just look at other famous ninja. The Kages, for instance. They were the leaders of their villages, generally the strongest ninja in the village. And what did that get them? They became they main target of any naughty person who tried to attack the village. She didn't want to have to deal with something like that! (Bubble Trap: 2/6)
Of course, it probably wasn't terribly high on the list of the Kages' favorite activities either, but it came with the job. And even on a smaller level, any ninja who became especially skilled in any particular technique would become targetted by people interested in that skill. Either they wished to learn it, or test themselves against the master of it, or even to try to eliminate it. Again, she could barely imagine anything less fun. She probably didn't have to worry about that, the only skills she really had were falling asleep and a slight knack for Genjutsu. (Bubble Trap: 3/6)
And ever since the odd resurgence in family memebers of the Uchiha and Hyuuga clans, Genjutsu practitioners were becoming slowly obsolete. That was fine with her, being obsolete meant being unnoticed, so even if she became a noticeably adept Genjutsu user, maybe bad people wouldn't bother with her? Wait, what was she doing? She had been thinking so hard about the topic, she had stopped running! She shook her head and resumed her running, eager to amke up for the time she'd spent daydreaming. Really! Her, a ninja of importance? (Bubble Trap: 4/6)
She tried to not think about much while she was running, but a simple route led to a distracted mind, and she soon found her thoughts straying back to all manner of memories. Good times, bad times, they both appeared behind her eyes as she recalled them. She gave up and let herself remember. How she'd played ninja as a child, throwing pinecones and acorns and jumping around like crazy before falling asleep; how she'd been so happy when she was first admitted to the Academy. How she had been so crushed the first time she'd been held back, since she had slept through so many classes; how she wondered what was wrong with her, that she fell asleep so often. (Bubble Trap: 5/6)
But she didn't stay sad for too long, overall she had more good memories than bad ones. Each time an especially bitter memory came to the surface, at least three sweet ones did the same to counteract it. She managed to keep running while she remembered all these many different things, and soon came to a halt. She must have circled the entire village five or six times by now, surely that was a good start? If not, then too bad, she didn't want to do any more. If she wiped herself out now, then what was the point in starting so early? (Bubble Trap: 6/6)

Nemu found herself at an edge of the village she didn't immediately recognize. It didn't worry her, she just changed froma run to a casual stroll and continued on her circuit. She'd eventually reach the same part of the village that she had left to start her run. She just had to walk enough to reach it. She enjoyed her walk, the sun was warm against her face and she could hear birds singing just out of sight. She could still smell the vibrant bouquet of flowers all around her, but she'd already begun to grow used to the smell, which disappointed her somewhat. (Suiton Seibun Houfutsu: 1/7)
She came to a stop, slowly bringing her feet to a halt. She was in no hurry to head abck to her room, was she? It felt nice out here, maybe she'd just take a little break? She wandered out into the field at her right, feeling the flowers brush against her ankles. It kind of tickled, she smiled and let out a little laugh. The flowers smelled so nice, she went ahead and found a place to sit down. The morning had just a tiny smidge of chill in it, and there was a touch of dew on the flowers and grass. She may get a little wet sitting on the ground, but it wasn't such a big deal. (Suiton Seibun Houfutsu: 2/7)
Nemu lounged on the grass. She leaned back, resting on her arms, one leg kicked over the other. It felt nice, and she couldn't help but yawn and feel like taking a quick little nap. She wasn't in any sort of a hurry, she didn't really have very much to do today. That was one of the nice things about vacations, it gave someone enough free time to do whatever they wanted, at least to some extent. Especially with unplanned vacations like this one. Other people planned out every aspect of their vacation from the trip to the activities. They spent so much time sticking to their schedule they didn't have any time to actually have fun. Quite a shame, really. (Suiton Seibun Houfutsu: 3/7)
Nemu had finally fallen asleep, really a foregone conclusion. With such a pleasant scenery and soothing scent, anyone could have been tempted to stop and get a little shuteye. All the more tempting for someone like Nemu, who fell asleep so much easier than a normal person. Most of the time, at least. As she slept, the wind started to blow a little harder, making it a little bit more cold out. With as damp as the ground still was, it couldn't have been terribly comfortable, but Nemu didn't wake up. Instead, she was busy dreaming once more, although this time it was a pleasant dream. (Suiton Seibun Houfutsu: 4/7)
Time marched on while Nemu slumbered, and the sun began it's lazy trek through the sky, evaporating the dew from the grass and flowers and warming Nemu up once more after that wind had given her a chill. For all she would have noticed, nothing would have really changed, except it was now a little warmer than it was when she'd fallen asleep. But of course she was a little colder from the breeze, so even that was pretty much evened out. Maybe the warmth of the sun would remove enough of the shill so that she wouldn't get a cold? (Suiton Seibun Houfutsu: 5/7)
After a while, Nemu woke up. She felt refreshed from her nap, like she usually was. She still felt a little fuzzy though, would she need to take another run? The cycle could just repeat itself endlessly, maybe that wouldn't be such a good idea. Instead she just sat up and slowly got to her feet, rubbing her eyes. Her clothes were a little damp from the dew, but other than that she felt more or less alright. Even so, she'd learned that it was usually a good idea to drink something hot, or at least warm, after falling asleep outside, especially in the morning or at night. She'd gotten quite a few colds from just such occasions. (Suiton Seibun Houfutsu: 6/7)
Nemu had started walking, continuing on her journey to the part of the village she was already somewhat familiar with. It didn't take long, she had already gotten pretty close before she had taken her nap, something she was pretty grateful for. She re-entered the village, and walked down the road comfortably. She'd used this same road a few times already, she was already able to remember which buildings were where along it's length. The Inn was a bit off to the left, and the restaurant she'd come to think of as 'hers' was just ahead. (Suiton Seibun Houfutsu: 7/7)
