Kibo: Suppose you're running headlong through a barrage of bullets. Now, your body is telling you, "You are a moron! Get out of there NOW!!" A sane person would listen to this instinct, and get out of the line of fire. Of course, sonce I highly doubt any one of us here is sane, that might not apply, but still!

Well, I....
Suddenly a shot of pain goes through her chest. Gwendolyn falls to her knees clutching her heart, she can't breathe. Then it stops leaving as suddenly as it had come. Gwendolyn struggles back up, panting.

Nini blinked, turning her head back and forth rapidly, watching the conversation go back and forth.
Then almost as soon as it had started, the conversation was dropped as Gwendolyn fell and seemed to be having a sort of fit.
"Oh my God!" Nini cried, jumping a few feet back. "Are you ok?" She watched as Gwendolyn slowly returned to her feet, almost as if nothing happened.

Kibo: Are you okay? Why don't you have a little rest. We can handle the ship.

Gwendolyn straightened her back.
Of course I'm okay. I can handle myself just fine. That little seizure was nothing compared to what I had gone through before. The pain used to last much longer.

I'm not getting weaker and weaker. This is normal. And I have told you already that I would die early anyway. So at least while I'm still alive......
Gwendolyn trailed off her unfinished sentence and paused for a while. Then she spoke up again.
Well, c'mon are we going to recruit her or not? We're wasting time here.

Nini stared at Gwendolyn for a few seconds before asking again, "Are you sure you're ok? That didn't look good." She eyed her nervously.

Kibo looks away, his face strangely serious.
Kibo: I don't want you to die early. I...
He stops, catching himself, and stands silent for a few moments before speaking again.
Kibo: As a commodore, I can't stand to lose any member of my crew. And as a human being, I don't want to see anyone I know among the dead.
He pauses for a moment.
Kibo: Especially you.

Ignoring Kibo Gwendolyn turns to Nini. She smiles.
Don't worry. I'm fine. What we really need to worry about is........getting some action here! C'mon mates! I say we give her a tour of the ship!
She strode boldly towards the dock trying not to let the knowledge of her short life span bother her. 'I should make the best of it while I'm alive,' she thought. 'And that means some hardcore pirating!'

Kibo looks up, confused.
Kibo: Huh? What the hell just happened?
He turns, and walks onto the ship in long strides, grinning.
Kibo: Well, let's hop to it, ladies and gents! Off we go!
He crosses his blades, and makes several spirits appear.
Kibo: You! Get this ship ready to make way! Chop chop!
The men scamper up the rigging lines, and begin to unfurl the sails.
