Mari had picked up speed and used a rock that was in her way to push off of it and give herself a boost. They had rounded the house and came back to the starting point and started the second lap. Byte just held on tightly to Mari's back and didn't mind the speed at all.

Mari started to do the same, only a bit differently. The bottom of her feet started to glow a blue color and she began to slide it seemed against the grass. The energy couldn't be seen, but it was making her go faster.

*he noticed what she was doing with her feet and figured if she wanted to play that way then so could her. he focused his energy into his feet to make them move even faster and they started on the last lap*

Byte noticed that Smash had a bit of an upper hand and she didn't want to lose. She put some of her dark energy into Mari's feet as well and Mari just grinned as she did so. She started to get ahead of Smash in the race as they rounded the house.

*he seen her get ahead of him but he had one trick left. he leaped forward and the landed on all fours. he used he arms to pull himself faster and faster as they came into the lead and got closer to the finish line*

Mari gave a small glare and burst foreward with a great speed and even Byte assisted her by using her energy. They both crossed the finish line about at the same time that Smash and Tech did, but there was no clear winner.

Mari just looked at him and smiled. She lifted her leg up and pushed him over again with her foot and laughed.

Mari just continued to laugh a bit and put Byte down. She let out a sigh and shook her head. "You're heavy for a little thing." Byte just laughed and nodded. "I guess it must be my equipment." Tech jumped off of Smash's back and dusted himself off.

*odin had been flying over head and watching the race. he landed on smash's shoulder*
