*sigh* and now...in loving memory of JR Sampang. He was a close friend to the group here in Cali. He was the mysterious one. Little to nothing is known about his past. He was Filipino with a very traditional and tight-knit family that did not allow his interaction with non-asian people. He fought odds, hardships, and secret family problems along with his intelligent and pretty sister Ann. JR refused to reveal much about himself. Usually his sister would rat on him. He was a genius. Math and science were a breeze to him through all of high school. He was a big fan of anime and the martial arts. It was evident he had training in ninjutsu and some sambo though he refused to talk about it. A man very much about himself, he was still extremely loyal when it counted. After graduating from high school, he completely disappeared. No one could find him, and there is no information about him. Later he was found hanging out with a bunch of stoners...wasting away his genius to marijuana and cocaine. It's pretty clear he was trying to escape a rough life, but he had no one to turn to, wasn't allowed to turn to anyone. At some point it took him, and maybe now in death he will know how much we all thought of him...until eventually he had to be forgotten. Rest in peace, JR (not initials and not "junior"...his name is literally the letters J and R)
