BH13 Atreyu walked at a fast and uneasy pace through the stadium. Every girl with black hair and shabby robes he took a second glance at. The Emperor had given him strict orders to keep his prized future wife to be under a continuous watchful eye. He didn't see why the Emperor would send someone to protect Baylu when she was the strongest and most skilled fighter in their land. "Ha..." Atreyu sighed as he remembered the days... "-Kai's gonna crush you-"
Snapping his head up, he saw his captain standing in front of two conspicuous characters. Baylu seemed very unaware of these men's threat to crush her. "Captain!" Atreyu yelled out, running as fast as he could to stand defensively in front of her with his fists held up. "I will not let you crush the Captain," he spoke firmly at the two men standing in front of him. Kai and Ohgami sweatdropped, looked at each other, then sighed. "Look, its not like that. Please, dont threaten us, or we may have to cause a loss of testicular organs in you." Kai nodded, an Ohgami sweatdropped and grabbed his groin. "Kai... Please. Never say that again."

Clash Kiddick "Wild dogs."
A young girl sat on her knees not far outside the colosseum, just over a grassy knoll and out of sight. He had assured everyone that he would take care of the disturbance, and while most did not even know that this "mystery man" was the Gaian Tenkaichi Budoukai's host, they had still been quick enough to comply.
The sight of the large, barking pack of ferocious animals was actually enough to relieve him, for it wasn't what he had been expecting. But it was strange, that they would show up here, so close to all these people. The girls' horse was on its knees, too, obviously confused, herded by the canines and scared to run.
"Want me to take care of 'em?"
He stood right behind her, now, and while he wasn't originally planning on it, the sight that followed was enough to make him draw his sword. It was about that time....
The entirety of the grass they stood upon became a mass of faces, old faces, the scary wrinkly kind...smiling faces that didn't move, just stared up at him and the girl who was experiencing an increasing level of terror.
Shapes moved in the darkness, but these ones weren't dogs. The animals became as confused as the horse for a moment, their role changed the instant the shapes lunged forth, tackling them...merging with them. The ones being taken over froze, some yelping, some just standing there and snarling and foaming at the mouth as the heads of those humanoid forms slid into the dogs' own.
The girl backed away as these...half-dogs, half-men surrounded them, smiling crazily now just as the ground did, tongues lolling from side to side and dripping saliva. As the woman backed away, trembling in fear, Clash stood his ground and stared the beasts down with animalistic optics that posed a match for their own. The challenge had been issued...and then it began.
They came at him.
He pivoted to the right and circled, placing himself between those things and the girl, one deft swing of his sword cleaving three of them in half. A head happened to bounce in the girl's midst, and it actually talked to her, beckoned her so that it might chew on her ankle as she hop-skipped away and whipped her head about, unable to stand there, but unable to run lest they chase her down.
A quick stomp from a weighted boot silenced the talking dog-head.
They were flinging themselves at him now, taking cover in the rolling mist before they rocketed out at this cloaked man of mystery, but each one he took out in a shower of blood and spraying organs, cutting up whatever he could and smacking others away with that metal arm.
"Gyuuuuuh...."
Sliiiiisssh!!!
"Gyaaaaah!"
Screeeee!!!

He stood high up in the stadium, at the highest point on the southern edge, watching him...his cousin...do battle with those monsters. He couldn't help but laugh a bit.
"Every night, is it now? Pity."

She looked, left and right.
They stared at her, at him.
They smiled, they snarled.
And then they came in, and the blood spattered.
She watched this man, fighting with the creatures like an animal that was meant to clash with nothing less, his own nose wrinkled and his lips pulled back into a twisted grin as he mowed them down and shook their heads from his arm. Another one of the dogmen leapt and he disconnected its head from the lower jaw, sending it thumping into the dirt. It wavered for a moment, leaking blood, and then bounced right back to its feet...a new head, like some kind of ghoul's, already sprouting from the stump. It walked dangerously close to the girl before it entered the range of that whirling cloak of the mad man, ready for round two.
The woman finally found the will to get up off her knees, looking to the left where her downed house lay. She kept her head down, almost crawled over to it. "Quick! Let me mount you so we can escape!"
Its head angled toward her...foam dripping from its mouth...and it looked at her with those somehow humanoid features and swirling red eyes, chomping horse's teeth as it got up off its knees and bucked, knocking her down, tearing at her shirt, licking at her with its long tongue. "I'd rather mount you."

He suppressed another bout of laughter, producing a pack of smokes from his jeans pocket as he snapped his fingers at the end, causing a spark and a light.

Baylu began to giggle uncontrollably to the point where she was holding her sides. "Atreyu, Lt....Lt...Please, stand down," she told him, trying to stand up straight. "These men aren't going to crush me," she explained through her laughter. "They're friends,. Please, stand down," she told him, walking up beside him. She knew why he was here and it was such a bother. Baylu would have to discuss his dismissal at a later date. "Kai, Ohgami, this is Lt. Jrint of the Imperial Army and my close comrade," she introduced.

"Nnnooooooo!!!"
"Hrr!?" He craned his neck back.s**t. Got to the horse, too.Light beads of sweat stood out all over him, dripping from raven-black locks of hair as he saw the sight of the woman, her shirt and half her pants ripped from her body, that horse...thing looming over her.
He blanked out for a moment, a similar scene playing out in his mind, but one that had happened long ago...him looming over her in a similar manner.
". . ."
Booooommm.
Ignoring the things clinging to his back, he charged the beast in his sights and decapitated it, one of the dual blades of the Slaughtersword slamming into the earth as the other stopped just inches above the fallen woman's neck. The horse and its head rolled in two different directions.
"Hu...."Hu...."Oi...."
"...E-eh?"
He finally looked at her, his eyes squinting through the blood, the words being spoken through labored breaths. "If you don't want to die, don't wander away."
His wounds, from last night, and the night before that, and the night before that, had opened again from swinging his sword. It was tiring, trying...but something had been triggered inside. Even as much as this had become a routine for him, the reason he did this was refreshed in his mind.
He looked over to the girl again, and the body of the horse rising once more behind her, a ghoul's head and tiny little arms crawling from the open, gushing spout that had become of its neck. "Seeing that reminded me of old memories. The first person I cared about...."
He split the horse in two.
"Thanks. Now I'm in a real bad mood."
His head lifted as he stared down at her, then around as more circled them.
. . .
"I've got until dawn to kill all of you."* * *

Finally, after days of travel, the old man had finally arrived at the stadium. He had heard of the tournament, but was too poor to submit the required money to get a spot in one of the ladders. Luckily, he had recently come across treasure during one of his many spelunking ventures into Tartarus, all by accident of course. So now, he had arrived.
However, upon arrival, he was quite confused. He had never seen a complex like this, even throughout all of these years. He had no sense of direction on where to go to meet the man he promised to practice with. He walked around for 5 minutes before he finally saw the sign in big letters that pointed to the arena. Slightly embarrassed, he sweated a little, but not much. He followed the signs until he found the arena itself. Once there, he put away his walking cane; there was no place for a movement inhibitor on the battlefield.
He moved to the other side rather quickly, as the limp he developed through his last venture into the Underworld was now gone. While walking, he drew his cards, counting all of them to make sure they were there. It would be a pain for him to have lost one along the way. Even after he was done counting, he still wasn't to where he desired. From that point on, he drew his revolver, a modified S&W Model 500. He removed the barrel from its place and loaded it. By the time all the ammo was in, he had arrived. Mr. Benedict replaced the barrel to where it belonged, spinning it a few times, all as he turned around. Once sheathing his pistol, he would wait...

Baylu smiled gently. "Its a very far away land. I believe it took me a month of air travel just to get here," she explained to them, trying to remember how many nights she had been out of Latha. "Oh, well! Enough about that. What else do we need to get his bar up and running?" Baylu asked enthusiastically.

A man in a brown traveling cloak walked up onto the arena. The man, named Kuro, hovered his hand over a carbon katana, and waited...

And wood.Mostly Alcohol."

"It's been quite awhile, Kuro..." spoke Mr. Benedict as he paced around in a semi circle. He was just getting used to using his left leg again, from the accident and all. "Quite awhile..." He then stopped, facing the man in the brown cloak.
"Let's start off by testing your reflexes..." The men were standing 70 feet away from each other, but the distance would not hinder Julius' magic at all. He would stomp his left foot down, causing a wall of orichalkos to appear in front of him. Once the wall stopped formation, the sorceror used his left hand to punch it into 5 large pieces of debris. Once all of the debris had fallen, the dust covered Julius, only allowing a figure of him to be seen, with no true details. He would push his right arm up, causing the debris to levitate.
From there, he would extend the arm out, letting his palm and fingers to be fully revealed. He put down his thumb, index and middle fingers. This would cause the far left, left center, and center chunks of debris, weighing in at 700 lbs. each, to fly at Kuro, one by one, all at the speed of a professional baseball pitch. If Kuro would move to dodge one, then the sequential debris piece would adjust to be flung at Kuro's new position.

Wooooooo~....
There he sat, in a field of corpses, his head tilted back as he breathed the fire from his lungs. They looked just like normal dogs, or at least parts of them. One time...it had been the bodies of kids.
And there she sat, on a rocky outcrop not far off, watching him.
Stained with blood and breathing like an animal...under the white sky, he makes my chest pound somehow-
A ghoul, not yet cast out by the light of day, circled her.

"A bar?" Lt. A. Jrint asked in shock. "Ma'am! I mustn't let this be approved," he told his superior in a very nervous tone. Imagine if the Emperor found Miss Baylu in a dirty bar with these kind of people. He would probably get demoted.
