Human. Fine, she'd make a scene afterall. Dropping the smile, she cocked her head and turned to the man "What, does your kind still think it innapropriate to talk of pregnancies? Morgan's ki is at normal range, yet she looks wrung out." Yet another arrogant warlord Morgan had chosen to bed...

Unlikely anyone would notice. Maybe Quin. But that water on the floor spread according to natuarally action, but wouldn't sink in if it met anything that would normally absorb it. Caution still. Caution still.
"There are no pregnancies to speak of. I'd prefer you avoid trying to upset her mentioning her last child though. In fact, if I recall what I'd been told rightly, he ki would be lower than usual, was she pregnant." Not in an arrogant tone. But Rivven no longer showed the submissive tendencies he might once have. Morgan was in danger of some sort, regardless of that it was probably not physical, and he was going to protect her. He had no room for doubt in face of a duty. "Of course though, you probably missed the other cues. I forget that you all seem very confident in your knowledge of yourselves, and forget about things beyond you. I think you might notice the chakra, if you concentrate."

Morgan winced, there was no way out of this. Her ki would be week, but then as soon as she was able the woman fought like crazy to raise it. With Mordrid she had eaten two day's worth of food in one meal, then slept for hours on end until she stabilized.
Then he said it, he named his energy system.

To any that could see a red weave of ruby shade flowed and drifted like a fine layer of mist about Quin at that moment. Aqshy, the Red Wind of Magic wove about his form and the water Rivven had dashed upon the floor began to evaporate.
With a calm voice he spoke to Rivven, "Do not be so hasty, and I remeber our talks from a while ago. The books shall be delievered within a day, you can keep them for all I care. They are no longer of any importance to me."

It WAS energy! She was right! Oh, this dead piece of meat wanted to see arrogant? She'd give it to him!
"Who's the fifth person in the castle?" she asked in a oh-so level voice. Ignoring Quin "Coming here, I felt two little sparks of what I now know is your form of foreign energy.

"I've never been one for haste, Quintilius. Please excuse me if I'm a bit easily perturbed at present though." he glanced at the man shortly. He was going too far, perhaps. Still, the woman was obviously after something, and with this attitude he very much feared it would be one of the two people. She had known already, there would have been no chance to decieve her anyway. Bright, but arrogant it seemed. Morgan had been very much that once. He hadn't noticed it so much of late. If she already knew, the best thing he could do if she intended harm though, was make her too confident. No rash actions. Right. But if she acted first, he'd do what he had ot. "Do I need to repeat myself? I already said it once. No one in this room, in anycase."

"I asked about the castle." She had never seen Morgan so quiet in any other state. Yes, she must be right. Not like he was hiding it that well. "I just ask, because of course the two of you will need someone to watch the child when you go."

((I thought it had said room initially... sweatdrop ))
"Go? Go where? I think we're fine where we are." he looked a total fool. Good. Fuel the ignorance. An enemy too confident was easier prey than one too cautious. He just needed to avoid hostility so as not to provoke an unnecessary attack on the child. But he could mark that as her sure target now.

"For sister Naomi's funeral of course. The convent only displays the body for so many days before the ceremony." With a nasty grin, she turned sharply and showed herself out, taking Quin with her. It wasn't enough to repay Morgan for her crimes, but it was something.

The floor no longer felt stable. The earth itself seemed to swim in front of her. She was able to push forward and slam the door on the pair before sinking to the ground.

"What the hell is going on, and why is this woman targeting our child? If we can discourage her hostility, I'd rather not have to play the rest of my way through the ploy right up to the ambush." despite the language, he said it in a delicate tone, striding up beside Morgan before he fell to his knees beside her, placing a hand on either shoulder, and gently pulling her to lean lightly against him.

"Fay was just trying to upset you with that, she thinks I don't care much for children." Morgan said in a suprisingly cool, detached voice
"Sister Naomi was the name she chose when she entered the convent. Rivven," she started to shake, she couldn't look up "her name was Ygraine."

"Ygraine...?" It sounded familiar, but he didn't recognize it.
He shook his head. "Well, she's wrong. But I'm glad she won't come after our little girl. Ygraine, some one close to you, love...?"

She was still shell shocked. Everything truly was gone of that life then. Morgan was the last one left, and the thought chilled her. "Ygraine Cornwall, my mother." Finally she let it burst. She didn't sob, but her body seemed to shake with invisible tears "I've seen my family buried."

Well, it wasn't the reason he'd figured on the night before, but Rivven did what he'd done the last time she'd lost a part of her family. Significantly larger than her even while he wasn't in any sense massive, he took his hands from her shoulders, and scooped her up in his arms, cradling her head against his chest with a hand laid on it's back.
"Not all of." he said firmly, but in gentle tone. "Not all of it..." the second time a mere whisper.
