A year later I stood on that spot looking at the heavens. The stars began streaking across the sky again right on schedule.
I wore my very best that year. I worked very hard too, and I knew I had grown that much more into a person.
As I felt my feet leave the ground, and saw my pictures light up around me, I smiled at the heavens soaring down towards me and knew I had lots to show them this year.
I think I can do this ‘one night a year’ thing no problem.

Wow, great job! I loved the way you portrayed everyone. The emotion in the words and music choice was perfect. I LOVE Mushishi's OST, it's so beautiful and relaxing, yet haunting at times. Air's OST was also a priceless choice of music, so much emotion. *thumbs up* I totally felt the mood and tone you were going for, really touching and heartbreaking, especially how it portrays the emotions of a hero or heroine after the story is over. It's so real for the character, and just for any person in general as to how they'd feel after all the stuff they go through.
Amazing work. Can't wait to read anything else you come up with. heart

Seriously, Rhiko said it all. Your piece was so touching and I think it portrayed everyone beautiful. And as Rhiko said, the music went along wonderfully! It wove itself right into your words and conveyed all the emotions of the words. Wonderful work Enji! Your way with words is alluring!

Thank you so much for your critic you guys- I admit after I re-read it over and over I felt it was overly mushy and then got insecure and embarrassed and was REALLY tempted to take it down.
I'm glad it entertained you- that was my plan. And I'm glad I could at least pull that off. I hope to do some more fiction shorts in the future incorporating everyone and those who were not mentioned before in this one.

You know, even if what they believed was true about becoming crystal was the same as death, in comparison to how we die normally everyday, I don't think becoming a pretty thing like that would be so bad if I had the choice between being buried or burned.
Of course this is excluding the obvious fact about their lives being cut short, but all that aside if you could decide at the end of your life to turn into a beautiful crystal would you?
And with that thought, Behold Crystalline L'Cie Noelle!!

I'm glad it came across Jenny, I was using a lot of textures and experimenting with the filters as well as trying out different style for the crystal, this is what I finally settled on.

Then again I never considered Sailormoon type nudity as real nudity.
