 Sure enough, they had some berries just sitting on a table! Jeanette wasn't sure they were safe for the slimes to eat, but it was worth a shot. She approached one, murmuring softly to it. "Come on, come on," the little neko said in a comforting tone, as if she were speaking to a newborn. The slime she had set her sights on was very cute, and looked as if it were covered in chocolate. It was hesitant about the offering of a blueberry, but then sucked it up. It seemed to like the taste, because it then began to follow Jeanette! Looked like she had made a new friend.

Annie's mommy had heard of the slimes through her school's email, and brought him over to the Academy to take a pick at whoever he wanted. The small fey was hesitant when he saw the chaos that was the school covered in slimes, but Raleka encouraged him to go after one. Annie took a deep breath, not wanting to scare any of the bouncy creatures. He then began to chase after one he had set his sights on, picking it up in his palms. The slime let out a shriek eeeee! before hopping right out of his hands! He'd have to be a bit more careful next time.

The Nixie's luck in the courtyard wasn't any better. He watched his surroundings, and it seemed that even full grown adults and kids barely old enough to be enrolled in the academy were on campus today, chasing after these little buggers. It must have become an area-wide event, even the university students coming to try to catch themselves a new pet. Flax's eye was caught by a particularly fast pink slime. Laurel probably liked pink, right? Her favorite color had to be somewhere in that area, at least! He ran after it for a while before tiring out. Perhaps that one just wasn't meant to be!

The freshling toddled around a bit more, diving after slimes that were just not cooperating. Annie took a look around with his big green eyes, wondering how others were succeeding at this nearly impossible task. Some freshlings were coaxing them with food, others seemed to have wrangled them down into submission. If it was this hard to get a pet, why did Annie's mom want him to get one? A cute slime, it had a tail, bounced in front of him a few times before he dove after it. It popped right out of his arms! Annie giggled, flapping his wings a bit, and began to run after it.

T'kani stalked along the ground quietly as she followed the Elf, ears twitching curiously at his movements. They seemed so...not quite stiff-jointed, but certainly it was a rigid and well-practiced motion. Stopping every so often, she tried to make herself as inconspicuous as possible, not that she could really blend in with the scenery or anything fancy like that.
He approached a corner and she decided to chase after him instead of pausing again, all this would be for nothing if he got away, right? Besides, what was the worst that could happen? He hadn't given any indication that she had been noticed, so she could continue this little game for at least a bit longer.
She froze when he whirled around, the blunt question catching her completely off-guard. Had he known or was it only a good guess? She was usually better at sneaking around, but why turn around right after the corner, as if it were a trap laid out?
Staying crouch down on the ground, she eyed him warily, slowly moving up to a more upright position once she was confident that he wasn't going to attack her with that shovel. She stayed slightly hunched over, arms in front of her like little claws, tail swaying slowly behind her. Once she was sure the versatile piece of metal wasn't going to be aimed at her, she relaxed slightly and waved at him, but made no other effort to communicate other than smile.

 Marnie was very fond of scavenger hunts and chasing things, so slime hunting came naturally for them. They'd found themselves circling the gardens of the academy after spying several rather bouncy slimes there and giggled as one bumped into them. Carefully, they scooped the purple fey slime up and gave it a pat.
"Hello, I'm Marnie." They said, smiling. "You're so pretty and purple... I think I'll call you Lilac."
Lilac the slime made a cheery sound, seemingly pleased to have been caught and named.

Briar hadn't been entirely sure what was going on. The noise they heard, and that was what alerted them to the chaos. Peeking cautiously from their dorm, they saw nothing at first. Whatever it was, it didn't seem to be-- Before they could finish that thought, something small and pink bounced into view. Startled, Briar took a step back into the room.
The thing followed. It paused inside the dorm, but after a moment it sprung into action. Briar leapt out of the way as the creature bounced around the room, knocking things off shelves and making a complete disaster of the previously orderly dorm room. Although stunned at first, Briar came to their senses quickly enough, jumping after the pink slime. They caught it in their arms, rolling as they fell to the floor so as not to harm it. Success!

 Noah, though very amused by all of the slimes bouncing around, didn't quite know what to do when he found himself cornered by a wall of them. He knew that he could probably get through the pile if he tried hard enough, but he really didn't want to chance stepping on one of them in the process. These things were cute, after all! He didn't want to hurt them!
"Nnnnngggh, okay, make way!" He cried, dashing toward the pile and making a leap for the other side. However, being the tiny child he was, his legs scarcely made the landing and he landed on his face with a rather silly "oof." He whined, pulled himself up, and gasped as a slime from the pile hopped onto him.
"Hey, hey! Watch it!" He said, giving the slime a pout. "... Wait a minute, come here!"
He quickly latched onto the wiggly little slime and laughed as it licked his face. Okay, cause of an embarrassing fall or not, he was taking this little guy home!

 Dionysus had spent pretty much the entire day trying to catch one particular slime, and it just kept avoiding him! There were times where he just about had them, too, and it was so frustrating each time they got away! Was he not using the right technique or something? Ugh!

Just when Dionysus was ready to give up and go back to his dorm, the bright pink slime he'd been chasing popped up in front of him! He froze and held his breath. Maybe if he stayed really really still, it would let him catch it!
"Come here, please?" He begged, slowly bending down to it's level. "I'm not scary, I swear! I just want to cuddle you because you're so cute!"
The slime stared back at him warily until he spoke and looked as though it were questioning the offer of a cuddle. Dionysus bit his lip and opened his arms, hoping, and beamed when the slime came leaping forward.
"Yay! Thank you!" He laughed, patting it's head. "Let's go home now, I'm thirsty from all this work trying to catch you!"

Raleka, seeing that her adoptive son was having some issues with catching a slime himself, frowned in sympathy. While she had merely hoped to get him out and active for the day, she felt kind of bad that he hadn't even pounced on one slime yet long enough for it to want to stick with him. The hybrid decided it was time she went in for the hunt. She waded in the ocean of creatures, looking for one that might be cute enough for her boy. She bent down to pick it up, but she was just a bit too slow. Raleka's strength laid in plants, for sure, but couldn't she catch just one slime?

Flax had moved more toward the dining hall, and swiped a bit of toast, seeing if he could set up an elaborate trap. Well, as elaborate as it could get for these things. They didn't appear to be very intelligent, if very fast and slippery. They were called slimes for a reason, after all! Some of them were slimy enough to leave trails as they bounced along. They seemed to like to group up, and then scatter when they were interrupted from whatever they were doing. He was hoping one of them would break off nearby. Flax set up a bit of toast in a corner, then set up a hiding spot behind a pole. Then, he waited.

His plan turned out to be a success. Flax waited behind the cement pole for a slime to break off and notice his bait. A beautiful purple slime happened to wander by, and cautiously approached the toast in the corner. It was nibbling on crumbs when Flax snuck up behind it... and grabbed it! "Gotcha!" he said as the slime squealed in surprise. Not wanting to startle the little thing, he brought the rest of the food out of his pocket. "Shh, it's okay," he consoled the slime, and it stared back at him with big, reluctant eyes before taking the food. Laurel was going to love this thing.

 Beatrix had been busy working on her homework when the first trio of slimes bounced into the library. Normally, she would've shrugged any sort of disturbance off without a second thought, but the moment that her earbuds were disturbed...
Well, that was cause for war.
"Alright, you little slime-balls!" She bellowed, jumping up as one made off with her music player. "Drop it, drop it right now!"

 Arabelle stood in the opening to the Academy grounds, viewing the chaos around her with a raised eyebrow. She was sure this would be an interesting tale later on, but for now it looked like a miniature war zone. Still, based on the laughter and determination on most of the faces, it seemed the others were having a good time. She decided to give it a shot herself, but hopefully she would have to go chasing after anything. Arabelle cast around for the nearest group of slimes not running around; there weren't very many, since most of the other Nightmares and Daydreams were giving chase. She walked slowly through the grounds, keeping an eye out.
