Perhaps he should have actually moved away from said glowing pairs of eyes before he shone the light at the ceiling.
He smelled them before he saw them.

"Holy s**t!" Zascha ducked the unexpected swing, grabbing Harlow by the wrist with his free hand. The flashlight in his other hand flickered light all about wildly as he tried to get her to stop from knocking him out cold. To be honest he was more worried about getting her out of here than anything else at the moment. Zascha made a sweep with the flashlight before giving her wrist a tug in the direction he could remember the door out of the room being."We need to get out of this room before we're ******** stuck." His voice was determined to say the least. But he honestly had no clue what was waiting for them.

Immediately, a series of footsteps stopped, and then, slowly, at all angles, various footsteps began to advance towards her in slow shambles.

She didn't respond until he said the word flashlight, and by then he'd already picked her up in his arms. She came to life, clutching his jacket maniacally and shaking him as she whispered. "Yesss."It was a pretty strong response.

Lydia could see the hole up above, and the shapes, bodies she presumed, standing around the top of it. Licking lips that had gone suddenly quite dry, she pulled at Aro's arm. "Come on, look! There's something..." She could see something dangling, and squinted from behind her glasses to make it out. A cord? It looked broken.... She flicked her flashlight around some more, looking for any way to climb up to the level above.

Why did sounds always seem louder in the dark? Why did flashlights only help so much? Her ears perked up a certain voice, and Sherry summoned her weapon, stepping away from the wall and into the 'do not want' land. "Jake?" Someone was going to get himself killed.

It had seemed to slow the zombie down, at least for a minute. Evan pulled back for another strike, but there were suddenly more bodies pushing between them. Evan tried to shove them away, but there were too many between him and his target. All he could do was watch as the creature dragged Tuck off. "Tuck!" Evan shouted. "Tuck! Fight back, a*****e, come on!"

Seussi he summoned Trynt, hoping to be able to see by the light of the runes on his weapon as he moved the weapon back and forth in front of himself. OOC Finn has been bitten! Jude couldn't really argue with that reaction. In fact he was pretty sure she'd strangle him if she held onto his jacket any tighter. He wasn't sure HOW she would manage it but he had faith that Maebe would find that magical way to do so.
Right now he went with the magical method of shuffling against the ground since he wasn't sure about putting Maebe back down to fend for herself. Something about his inability to not protect someone he liked.
Weird
So far Jude was unsuccessful.

"Fine," Jack answered tersely, on the edge of deja vu. The smell of rotting meat made him gag and nearly had him spitting just to empty his mouth.
Finn's weapon came out, but he saw the Moon stagger and stepped away. "You alright, a*****e?" He could no longer make out where Ripley had gone off to, but he had half an idea that it involved getting bitten in seconds.
"Crowell, Nowicki, still around?"

Nyxtsuki Moon draw them to a point he could see them with Chama's blade.
For a moment, the figure changed, it became someone familiar. It became her, that same appearance as she had been her last moments in the Sahara, when she had also been filled with insects.
"You left me," the figure whispered, and it sounded like her voice, "you left me and now I am so hungry." It grabbed a hold of his arm. OOC Roll 1d6! If you roll even you can escape/ break free!
