And more Pidgeys.. pidgies? What was the multiple of terror birds? Lex grumbled and slipped his back pack from his shoulder and swung it at the cluster of birds.
"Grass whistle again." It worked well and he trusted Hollin to protect himself.

A miss... Hollin puffed up and attempted again, their progress slowed against the weight of the flock. A second grass whistle attack echoed.

More and more Pidgeys kept arriving, Anise wasn't sure from where. They clouded the air and made it hard to see, much less move. Oki tried to stand in front of Anise to protect her, but with birds in every direction it was kind of impossible.

Oki started swiping at the bird to try and back them off enough to get some breathing room. With so many of them so close, he could hit them without even having to aim, but there were so many that they just kept coming.

Just when it seemed Oki might be able to make a little space, more birds came rushing in. Did they ever stop?

The birds continued to bombard the pair and Oki kept trying to clear them away. Anise attempted to inch along the deck a little, but the birds started attacking her even more so she had to stop and cover her head.

Anise noticed one Pidgey was tugging at her bag, trying to get it open. She yelped, swatted ineffectively at the bird, and started a frantic tug-of-war as she tried to get it away.

The Pidgey seemed determined to take the bag away, though Anise had the strap looped over her so it was harder to snatch. She was glad the flap was securely buckled shut.

Another Pidgey decided to get in the game, and came over to help its fellow try and wrest the bag from Anise. She started shaking the bag, trying to loosen their hold.

Finally Oki was able to swat them away long enough to take a deep breath. Immediately a loud Roar resounded through the cloud of Pidgeys, scaring them into scattering. With her bag and path free, Anise started running towards the balloons as fast as she could safely manage on the airship.

The Pidgey didn't stay away for long though, and in what seemed like no time they were back to mob Anise and Oki.

As the birds closed in. Anise realized she didn't spot anyone else on deck. Had they all gotten on the balloons already?

Then there was no time to worry about anyone else, only try and push through the Pidgeys. The balloons were in sight, but it was so hard to reach them!
