ξllery Ѧdvimi Ellery took the box, shaking his head as he opened it. " You really didn't have to get me anythi- Oh my God." He stared at the necklace for a few seconds, tears coming to his eyes. It was more beautiful than anything he could have asked for, and the meaning behind it made it all the more precious to him. Taking the necklace out of the box, Ellery examined it in the light, then held it out for Fredrich to take. " Help me put it on?" he asked.

In this world, one cannot say anything without proof to back them up.Smiling to himself, Fredrich took the necklace and waited for Ellery to turn around before moving it forward. He delicately set the ring against his chest then moved the ends of the chains to the back of his neck, hooking them together. " There." he announced and turned the songwriter around to gaze at him admiringly. " It looks wonderful on you." he breathed. ξllery ѦdvimiEllery's fingers gently touched the ring before he gazed back up at the detective, his eyes brimming with emotion. " I love it," he said, keeping his voice low so as to not arise attention from the playing child not far from them. The songwriter moved closer to the elder male, setting his hands on Fredrich's forearms and tilting his head back a little. " How can you be so incredibly perfect all the time?" he teased, although half-asking what he usually thought.

In this world, one cannot say anything without proof to back them up." I have a little inspiration now and then." Fredrich chuckled as he set his hands on Ellery's sides. He leaned down to give him a swift, chaste kiss before looking at Daniel. " Daniel. Come on, let's get your bath ready and get you into bed. You can play with your toys tomorrow." ξllery ѦdvimiDaniel's head poked up from his sea of toys, groaning but nodding as he stood and started walking over to the bathroom. He hated baths! But he did like seeing his parents happy together, so he begrudingly started to take his clothes off and sat in the bathtub, waiting for his father or mother to start it. The songwriter reluctantly parted from Fredrich, gesturing to the toys. " Do you want to take care of Daniel or put the toys away?" he asked, although he was already bending to put the Legos back into their boxes.

In this world, one cannot say anything without proof to back them up.Fredrich was going to suggest that Ellery take care of Daniel since the boy was easier to clean around him, but seeing as though Ellery already made up his mind, the detective let out a sigh. " I'll take care of Daniel." he said as he took his gloves off and put them in his back pocket. He took his coat off and hung it on the rack then pulled his sleeves back as he entered the bathtub. " How was your time with Mr. West and his family?" he asked Daniel as he turned the water on. " I don't think Julian likes me very much," he said, wiggling his feet as he looked up at Fredrich. " I mean, he treats me like a jerk. Yeah I tease him, but you tease Mama all the time and he really seems to like you!"

It would definitely make sense, like why Cameron and Liam were always whispering around the children. He only assumed they were being their weird maso/sadist selves. " Well how do you tease him?" he asked as he shampooed the boy's hair. ξllery Ѧdvimi" He calls me a jerk and then goes tattling to Auntie Liam," he said, lifting his arms so Fredrich could get the skin under his arms. " And then he comes back and threatens to cut me open, which I guess means he's trying to play back?" Ellery walked in, holding a small bundle of bedclothes for the child. " What're you two talking about?" he asked, only for Daniel to shriek, " NOTHING!" and throw a rubber duck at his mother's head.

In this world, one cannot say anything without proof to back them up.Darkness shaded the upper half of Fredrich's face and his eyes became just empty, white spaces as he listened to Daniel. Of course Liam would tell Julian to say something like that. " Well it could be that Julian's trying to tease you back, though his method must come from his own parents. Try being a little nicer to him and if nothing happens then go back to teasing." he suggested, turning his head when he heard Ellery's voice. He glanced sideways when he saw a blur then back at the songwriter in time to see the toy bounce off his face. " Daniel, don't throw things." he scolded until a sound made him pause. It was his default ringtone. Fredrich got up and dried his hands. " Would you mind finishing up with Daniel while I get that?" he asked, but was already walking out before he could get an answer. Without proof, you'll never catch me. ................................................................................................

ξllery ѦdvimiEllery nodded, walking over to their son and starting to wash off his hair, glancing over his shoulder. " I wonder what that's about," he mumbled, feeling a wet hand on his cheek. " He's probably trying to figure out a way to kill off Auntie Liam," shrugged Daniel, only to feel the upside of his head smacked lightly. " Don't be cruel." Ellery continued with his work, quickly washing off the boy and taking him out of the bath. He dried him off, clothed him, then picked him up and started out. " Fredrich, when you're off the phone, you have to tell Daniel a bedtime story!" he called, walking into Daniel's bedroom.

In this world, one cannot say anything without proof to back them up." You're overreacting, Hayden." Fredrich ushered quietly on the phone, closing his eyes when the man yelled at him through the other line. " This has to be done, Fred, and you know it!" the vampire snarled, clearly blinded with anger. " He's nothing but an obsessive psycho! If you don't kill him then I damn well will!" Fredrich sighed and looked over his shoulder to where Daniel and Ellery were. He couldn't argue with Hayden, Aldrich was no doubt obsessive. If he didn't do anything then he'd have a stalker chase after Ellery for the rest of their lives. But if he did the deed then there was no doubt Ellery would find out, and he wouldn't be happy about it at all. The detective closed his eyes, thousands of ideas formulating in his mind until one shined among them. He opened his eyes and muttered, " Meet me at the city outskirts at midnight. I'll do it, but I'll need your help." He hung up and slid his phone into his pocket then moved to Daniel to read him the promised story. " What do you want to listen to this time?" he asked as he sat at the edge of the boy's bed. Without proof, you'll never catch me. ................................................................................................

ξllery Ѧdvimi" I want another of those knight stories you've been telling me!" he said, the bath having only served to make him more excitable. Ellery chuckled, then sighed as his phone began to ring. He pulled it out of his pocket, then kissed Daniel's head and ducked into the other room. " Peter? What is it?" he could be heard saying before he left. Alone in the room with his father, Daniel shook his head and stared up at the detective. " You two and your phones. I want one!"
