Lael finds Philip talking with Darian. "Philip?" she asks. "I think we've got everything we can use. Do you have a place we can set up in?"

Philip Okalwa turns to the albino woman, seeing Jay trailing behind her as he tries not to drop all the sheets that are in his arms. A sad look comes to his eyes as he knows what the outcome most likely will be.
"Ana would be able to help you more there, unfortunately," he says.
From the doorway between the house and the backyard, the redhead woman says, "What can I do better than you, dear?"
They connect eyes and Anafontes smiles sadly, "There's only a few families that are left here. The Rekans, the Ilandrops, the Yushinos, and the Weklians."
"At least the Yushino brothers are here," he says, mentioning to Darian, "They're some of our best archers, plus they have good hand-to-hand combat training."
((OOC: Yes, I hope that this one can continue.. it is important to Margem's story, and to Darian's, and to Lael's grandmother's.... take that back: it's important for all of our characters, seeing it is a huge battle Mystics versus humans/others.))

Turning to Ana Lael says, "We need a place to set up an infirmary. Someplace that we can keep relatively sterol, preferably. With as few warriors as you have, it won't do for them to be injured without care." Seeing that Jay is having trouble she tells him, "I can carry some of those, Jay."
((I agree. I really want to see how it plays out.
Besides, this thread was the first one I ever attempted to RP in. I don't want to see it die!))

Jay sees Kitara's re-arrival to the house and he gives the blankets/sheets to Lael. He then goes and glomps his traveling companion, twittering stuff to her about how he missed her. Kitara has nothing to say as she can tell that Jay had a hard time trying to communicate without her help and that he only wants to stay stuff (though it may be random, absurd things).
Ana watches the interaction between Kitara and Jay as she says, "The only place that may be sterile is the kitchen, I'd think... As for a safe haven in a battle, it's not a good area."
Lady Ilandrop steps forward and says, "Ana, I think that any place could be considered unsafe, here or elsewhere."
Lord Rekan, however, says from among his group of five, "Philip's office might be the safest place to keep wounded, though, seeing it has no window and is not on the outer walls."
The redheaded Mystic of the house smiles and says to Lael, "This is why we all are so close. ...the advice of a neighbor is worth more than a hundred dollars from a millionaire."
((OOC: Well, if we could get Mr.O to get on to post more in this subforum, I think we can keep all of our threads [aside Reman's Inn] alive and moving.))

Ana nods and turns to the Yushino brothers and the Weklian brothers, "Boys, please go get the beds from upstairs. They'll be useful down here more than up there."
The four elvish men start upstairs at this request.
Ana then turns to Lady Ilandrop, "Could you oversee the setting up of the haven? You can move everything."
Lady Ilandrop nods slightly then says to Lael, "The office is this way."

Lord Okalwa turns to the demon and says, in a matter-of-fact tone, "Isn't that what I just said a minute ago? Yes."

Jay goes into a different room to change into his bluejay form. He then comes back to perch on Kitara's shoulder, though she is trying to figure out what everyone is capable of.
Lady Okalwa calls Kitara into the kitchen and says, "Let yourself relax for a bit. We have to get provisions ready."
The blue-headed woman sighs, her eyes blank of emotion, as she has been making provisions and readying 'the troops'.
The redhead says, handing her a spatula, "In other words, we need to feed everyone so that we are ready."

Lady Ilandrop opens the door to Philip's office.
"Here we are," she says in human English.
The room has two desks and tons of bookcases with books. Stands are near the desks so to shed light, and a single recliner chair sits in one of the corner. The chair is obviously loved, as the threads look thin and there are patches all over it. The color of it is also faded out.
The lady stands to the side of the door and says, "I don't know what we want to do with all of his books, though... One option is to move them, but to where?"

The demon walked over to the door and grabbed the lock in one hand. He gave it a sharp tug and it broke off easily. He walked back over to Philip and handed him the broken lock. "Problem solved."

Lael sets down the sheets and looks around. "Well," she says, "we took a lot of stuff out of the basement. There would be room down there if you wanted to take them down. Or maybe he knows of some other place we can take them. We can ask."

Philip Okalwa shakes his head then says, "The power of demons still amazes me, even after so many years with demon allies."
The Mystic male then opens the shed, revealing dusty shelves and a few muskets.
"It's not the most advanced, obviously, but it is firepower..."

Kitara and Lady Okalwa start cooking food for the 'troops'. The blue-haired woman turns to the bluejay that sits perched on one of the dining chairs.
"Jay, go and see how far away the enemy is. Do be careful," she says, her hands deep in some bread dough.
The bluejay bobs his head and flies out the back door.

Lady Ilandrop scratches her left shoulder as she says, "The basement might be the best place to set the books."
A younger elvish man comes over and leans against the door, "Is there anything we can help with, lady mother?"
The woman turns around and says, "Tre, get your brother. The two of you must start a process of carrying Lord Okalwa's books down to the basement. Ask all the Lords and Ladies in this house that are not busy doing something and get them to carry these books."
Tre nods, "As you wish, lady mother." He turns around and heads back to the main 'troop'.
Olia Ilandrop then turns back to Lael, "Now then, we can start to set up the hospice once they get a good deal of the books out of the room."
((OOC: How's that for not posting for a few weeks? xD ))
