Beck's horse quickly caught up with the Messenger as he said "I'll follow you too Nibelheim, young messenger. It's better to arrive with you then to get lost and not at all." yelled the King as he galloped a few paces behind the messenger who nodded.

After Beck was well out of sight Tray remembered more of the letter that no more then 3 people were to accompany Beck. She turned and found three more people from the army they had when they battled against Viktor and told them to prepare and to ride after the King. Telling them they wouldn't have far to go to catch up to him after watching them go she sighed and turned to find the captain she had Beck's last orders to do.

Beck pulled the reigns of his horse to the left so he pulled up beside the Messenger who was now as pale as a new white cotton shirt. His eyes darted to Beck and knew what would happen. "We're going to stop at either the 2nd or 3rd town we pass through so our horses can rest, Your Majesty." The King looked over and nodded as he heard the man. Not realizing that 3 of his own Generals and Lts. would be following behind him in the distance. ------------ The Guard Captain had pulled all of his troops into his quarters and pointed at a map of the town. "Sqauds 1 and 2. Stay here with me. We'll be the main point for recruitment in this town." He then pointed to the towns beside Freyjal. "Squads 3-5 go to these towns and set up recruitment centers. Eveyone spread the word that we need new recruits. Beck is gone for a tournament, Tray has been put in command for his absence."

When Beck's men could see their King they all slowed down they were about half a mile behind simply keeping an eye on the King. ------- Tray walked into the tent then and headed towards the map. She looked at it then at the captain "Do we have enough to send another booth to this town?" she asked as she pointed at the town furthest from the palace. She knew from the other two towns that it was nowhere near big enough to get enough troupes.

The Captain looked at the farthest town and then at his men. With a nod he said "Yes. One squad, maybe a squad and a half would be able to make it." he said. --------------- Beck looked over his armor equipment a bit more thoroughly to see if any of it needed to be repaired while they would be in town. When his eyes went over one of his paulfrons was when he saw faint dots behind him. His eyes slimming as though they were bandits, he said "Hey, let's go a bit faster. I know my horse can take it." The King roared over the wind and loud ker-plots of the horses before spurring his horse to go faster, which the white animal quickly did.

Tray nodded at that. "Good...we need all the recruits we can get." She scanned the map then and just sighed a little to herself she was still hoping Beck would be alright.------- The three men blinked wondering why their King sped up. Looking at one another they then sped up themselves wondering why he might be speeding up. "Your Majesty!" one finally hollered out wondering if maybe he just did not realize they were their.

Beck faintly heard the cries of the guard behind him and motioned for the Messenger to slow down at a reasonable trot before stopping by a few trees, pulling his horse into the shade and looking at the three men who were following them. The King took a few steps forward into the sunlight and placed his hand on his sword's hilt, awaiting for the arrival of what he didn't know what his men. --------------- The Captain nodded and sent the squads out to their locations as he began to walk out with the squads he would help. If a war was to begin...then he knew Tray would be right in saying that they would need every troop that they can possibly get.

After he had left Tray closed her eyes and put her hand to her heart for a second before turning around and leaving the tent also. Whatever emotions she was getting right now she had to suppress them and concentrate on the mission at hand right now.------- The guards slowed their horses as they neared the spot they last noticed the king and the messenger, the latter of whom had disappeared from their immediate view. As they drew near they noticed Beck and his hand on his swords hilt two stopped but the other continued on. "King Beck it's your men. Tray sent us after you."

Beck looked at them and partially drew out his sword as he neared them, eyes slimming. Once he was about a good 5 to 10 yards away was when he noticed that they were indeed his men. Completely sheathing his sword before going back to his horse and getting on he said "Okay, we'll go ahead and get in formation Bug." With that he ordered the messenger to be in the middle before placing the other 3 in an almost box formation. Beck got to the fourth post in the square position and said "We do this in case we are attacked. Because you're in the middle, chances are that robbers would want to kill you first before taking on the guards themselves." With that, Beck bucked his horse into a gallop and he yelled "Maintain formation."

The group of 5 kept riding across lush green fields, dirt roads, sides of streams and forest lines. Passing through one city and momentarily stopping to look at the time the messenger said "We have enough time to make it to the next city." With that, they got back on the horses and clopped through the town, having their horses use this moment to calm down and rest from the constant running they did before arriving. A few yards out of the first town though was when they all began to gallop towards their next destination as the Sun began to slowly sink behind the mountain. The rays from the sun making everything a gorgeous shade of orange that would occasionally get darker before turning into a black night. All the while, Beck thought of not only the tournament for Nibelheim, but Tray. What would she do with the children now that he was away? How would the towns and villages take to a sudden enlistment request? (OOC: no prob :3)

Tray right now was trying to handle everything Beck asked of her, one road block she did not encounter was the enlistment request in the closest town to the palace. It had been set up in a very short time but so far, it had been passed over. Teenage boy's would come over to look but then mothers would walk over, grab their children and run off. Tray rode her horse to the first booth and looked as one women did just that she sighed and got down and walked to the booth she looked at the signup list and frowned. "Only five..." She was clearly disappointed but at the same time could not blame the people for being leery of signing up for such a thing, especially with them just getting a new King.
"It's only the first day...it will get better..." she had to keep telling herself this she didn't want to fail Beck. She looked to the guards who were their. "Keep doing what you are doing I'll be back in a day or so." She left the booth and got back upon her horse. She headed back for the palace, first to check on the children, but then to get ready and head to the next town. By the time she would arrive their that booth would be set up. After that she would then check on the furthest one. As she rode she silently thought of Beck still wishing she had been able to go along with him.

Beck and the four others reached the 2nd city at dark. The messenger brought them to an inn where they all got a room and walked up the stairs. The three knights who came with offered for night watch with the king. One near the window and another near the door while the third would sleep. Beck nodded and thanked them as he washed his face and hands before asking "Should I sleep in my armor for the night or no?" he asked as he sat on the bed. The third knight was already asleep in his regular clothing as one said "No, go ahead and change, milord." The former prince nodded before changing into his night clothing and got into bed, closing his eyes for sleep.

Tray was tired and she had to get up early the following day to check on everything. She was heading into Beck's room looking at his bed feeling strange to sleep in it without him but the kids were still sleeping in her room and somehow...she wanted to be in here. She slowly dressed into something comfortable then got on her side and looked at the side Beck would lay on she looked away after awhile and closed her eyes falling asleep though it took some time.------- The first knight watched Beck then looked at the messenger before sitting in aaa seat he crossed his arms and yawned.

Beck slept soundly, turning over in his bed every now and then as the window was open to allow cool air. The moonlight shown in the square on the wooden floor of their room as the King slept. The knight by the window got up and walked over to the bed, yawning as he woke up his comrade and switched. Tim got out and lazily walked over to the chair near the window and took a seat, looking around the room as he kept his sword close by him. ------ A man stood up from his stool in the bar below and thanked the lady before paying her and walking up the stairs. His cloak fluttering about him as he walked. A book was in his grasp and when he stopped by Beck's room, he stopped. Turned to it and blinked. Wavering in place from the amount of ale he drank the magician lifted his hand and muttered an incantation, placing a hex on the door before returning to his room.
