Needless to say, Carnage quickly fled back into his Pokéball.
Envy, however, shook his head. "Actually, the info says Shadow here went rogue at the get-go - he and his Shadow Lugia were too strong for Team Rocket to contain, and that's not even including his battle-crazed and paranoid mentality. You're probably thinking of this one here - the Dark Elemental, codename Nightmare. It's easy to get them confused - they're identical twins, after all." He shifted through the info, bringing out another file, the picture on it identical to the first... except that it lacked the malice Shadow's picture had. "He suffers from DID; one personality is completely apathetic and loyal to Team Rocket, and the other personality, the original, is actually extremely shy and polite. Naturally, Team Rocket tries to keep the apathetic personality out as much as possible while suppressing his original personality."
Cadaver nodded; that made sense, since Team Rocket would obviously want a person they could control. "All right... so out of this whole lot," he gestured to the files, "who is in Kanto?"
"Well, the Poison and Electric Elementals are based here in Kanto; also, according to Team Rocket's database, the last confirmed sighting of Shadow's Lugia was around Victory Road."
Cadaver quirked an eyebrow. "You sure about that last bit?"
Cue the flat stare from Envy. "I think people would know a giant black Lugia when they saw one, don't you?" Shaking his head, he then handed over a piece of paper to the group. "Anyway, here's the next bit of info; thing is, it's in some kind of complicated code, and even the smartest of Team Hellbound hasn't been able to crack it."
Curious, Koras reached over and took the piece of paper, staring blankly at... well, quite frankly, it looked like gibberish.
Then Chimera plucked it out of his friend's hand, examining the code curiously before smiling brightly - quite the disturbing look, considering the sharp teeth. "Ooh, fun puzzle! Chimera want try! Pwease?"
Envy tensed as he stared in shock at Chimera... not that anyone could really blame him, considering the hybrid's appearance and how he'd appeared out of nowhere... "What the ******** is that and where did it come from?"

Cadaver sighed and shook his head. "No... best to figure out what this other bit of information is first." He then glanced over at Envy. "And to answer your question, his name is Chimera, and I don't know what he is or where he appeared from either."
Envy nodded slowly before something occurred to him. "What do you mean, fun puzzle?" he questioned Chimera, who was still holding the encrypted piece of information.
Chimera beamed. "Chimera solve puzzle like this all the time! Real fun! Kind of like big book of crossy-words Chimera did while back..."
Envy stared blankly at him. "...One of the best cryptographers in the entire world couldn't figure it out... and you're comparing it to a book of crossword puzzles?" At the hybrid's cheerful nod, he sighed. "All right... let's see you solve it th - "
"Done!" Chimera cheerfully handed over the decrypted version of the information, tilting his head in a surprisingly cute manner for his rather intimidating appearance. "You have more puzzle?" His smile immediately turned into a sulky pout at Envy's stunned shake of the head.

"Nooooo, Chimera stay," Chimera insisted firmly.
Envy shook his head, snapping out of his thoughts and taking the information. "Interesting... apparently your pal Koras has some latent abilities... not too much information on them here, though..." Then he trailed off, slowly starting to pale to levels that probably weren't healthy.
Curious, Cadaver plucked the info from his hands and read it himself before pausing as he reached the same bit Envy had. "...Well, that's not good... apparently Team Rocket's figured out how to create their own Legendary Pokémon," he observed after a moment, his voice a bit distant and detached... mostly because he was a bit busy trying to stay calm at that little bit of info.

"Not necessarily; from the look of things, even making one of the weaker Legendaries takes a lot of resources, so they probably only have one or two at the most, if they have any at all," Cadaver noted as he leafed through the information. He then glanced over at Envy. "Anything else?"
Envy blinked as he regained his bearings from his moment of shock, then shook his head. "No, that's about it... though if you're going on the typical trainer route, you're probably headed to Celadon next, right?" At Cadaver's nod, he continued. "There's a strange shack deep in the forest surrounding the place; if I were you, I'd steer clear of it. There's been some weird sightings coming from the place - as far as we can tell, though, it isn't Team Rocket."
"How do you know for sure?" Cadaver questioned, skeptical.
Envy gave him an amused look in reply. "Well, firstly, I've infiltrated pretty deep in the Team Rocket inner circle, so I'd be told if there was anything going on there unless they were really trying to keep it under wraps. Secondly, the last time I checked, run-down shacks in the middle of nowhere aren't Rocket style, and neither is a Cranidos with a drill for a skull."
Cadaver blinked. "Er, you mean a Cranidos with a drill attached to its skull?"
"No - I mean that, by all eyewitness accounts, the blue portion of its skull had been taken off and replaced with a drill, one that spins like a normal drill and can apparently bore into solid steel," was Envy's blunt, matter-of-fact reply.

"I meant weaker compared to other Legendaries," Cadaver clarified.
Envy shrugged. "Honestly? No idea," was his blunt reply. "Looked like it was some sort of surgery, though."
Koras just gave Envy a wide-eyed look and decided to stay clear of any and all surgeons if he could help it.

Cadaver nodded looking amused as Koras similarly fawned over the egg. "Sounds about right." With that, the five of them set out for Celadon to get their fourth Gym Badge... well, except for Chimera, who was mentally making plans to go visit that shack.

Koras smiled shyly and nodded, holding his hands out hopefully.
Cadaver shrugged. "I dunno... Legendary eggs take a lot of time to hatch, though, so probably at some point after they get their eighth Kanto badge."
"Chimera put money on egg hatch after meet rest of group, heal Koras, and give Team Rocket boot," Chimera piped up helpfully at that point.

Koras managed to communicate that he was putting money on after they left to the next region. He then returned his attention to the egg, holding it carefully but protectively and smiling as he began humming softly to it... and interestingly enough, the egg glowed softly, and gorgeous music began coming from it in time with Koras's humming.
