She took the book, "He doesn't know everything," she looked at him and set the book beside her on the couch, "I will have to tell you some of it," she closed her eyes and took a deep breath before opening them, "Do you want to go first or should I?"

Your Uncle Grandpa Your Uncle Grandpa Ike sighed, and started "Well... I was back at my father and mother's house... The warden had finished giving me her goodbye gift as usual, and I had no choice but to take it. When I got back to my house, they told me I was getting back to work..." he paused, and let out a sigh.

She lightly touched his leg, "Go on," she said softly, leaning forward.

Ike sighed, and started "Something about them was... Off... I went into the room, where all the magic usually happened, and waited. Dad hit the buzzer, and the door unlocked; in walked my mother again. She was still fully dressed, but holding a large knife... She walked up to me, and kissed me. Whispered something in my ear, and then started stabbing me... Everywhere, viciously stabbing. I was mangled, and dying. My father walked up to my near death self, and patted me on the forehead, taking a rock and lifting it above my head... Then Clayton 'changed the channel'..." he said this low, and clearly petrified by it...

She didn't say anything for the longest time, she simply looked at him. His eyes were filled with pain and remembrance. She reached out and touched his chest, where the majority of the stabbing had most likely been, "When she whispered in your ear, what did she say?" She knew there was pity in his eyes.

Ike smiled a pathetic smile, "i don't remember... Though it had been enough to stir Clayton... That tells you it couldn't have been good...". He grabbed her hand and closed his eyes, sitting and not really saying much else. He laughed, an unhealthy and nervous laugh... "It's amazing... How only something that was rendered by my own mind, and leave me so messed up..." He felt pathetic as he'd said that... You should have let me die in that dream Clayton... Maybe you'd have finally had a chance to be that Southern Gentleman you've always wanted to be...

"It's amazing what can destroy you," she held his hands tighter, "I was born there, in the place where my grandfather found me," she began softly, "Are you sure you want to hear this?" She paused and waited for him to respond.

Ike let a faint smile show from his mournful face. "Sure..." He said spinning her on the couch, so that she leaned against him. He grabbed her hands once more, and traced them with his thumbs.

She looked down at their entwined hands, "Like I said, I was born in the coven house where my grandfather found me. My mother lived there for nearly 400 years, so naturally that's where she went when she realized she was pregnant. There's something you need to understand before I go on, every coven house has a master vampire, and the master can do whatever they want. It took me about three years to fully mature, born vampires mature much faster than any other creature. Even in my first three years I knew I was different than the rest of the coven, I just didn't realize what that would mean. After I had matured, I was taken to this room," she paused, "It was more like a basement. It's where they keep the half breeds, and the lowest of the vampires." She closed her eyes tight, "I remember it always smell of blood, blood and death and rot and..." she stopped her mind flinching back from the memory.

Your Uncle Grandpa "So you've always been a gorgeous woman..." He teased as he rubbed her arms trying to comfort her, and distract her from feeling the memory.

"Something like that," she said softly, "Vampires love pain and fear, and that room was the home for their toys. The master of the coven, G-" she shook her head, she still couldn't say his name, "Chose me as his favorite," she swallowed, "He had an interesting way to go about torture, sometimes he would beat me, but he would always remember where he had hit me before, what bones he had broken, what cuts he had made, and he would re-break them, open the same wounds," without knowing it she started to rub her right knee, "Or her would drain me, that was almost the worse. He would drink from me until I was almost dead, and then use his blood to bring me back just so that he would do it again." She bit her lip, "But there was one thing that always happened. He was very much onto rape." her jaw clenched.

Ike started to get angry... He could hear Clayton in his head, a sign that he was about to turn. Calm down... You know I can't control myselfClayton barked at him. Ike took a breath, and pulled Esperanza closer to himself. Managing to calm down, though he still couldn't speak.

She felt him stiffen behind her and pull her closer. She put her hands over his and gently rubbed them, "Easy," she whispered, her voice a little unsteady, "That was... a long time ago." She tilted her head back to look at him, "Do you want me to stop?"

"This lasted about thirty years," she continued, "Until one day he told me about this elvish man who had come for me. I was hopeful, for the first time ever, that is until he nearly killed me." Her body shuddered, "I don't remember anything but pain, and then nothing until I woke up in a bed in my grandfather's home." She stopped, "That's the gist of it," she said, "there's more of course. How my grandfather raised me. How we figured out about my bedroom activities. And other things as well. But," she curled up against him, "I don't want to talk about it anymore."
