There were simply too many of them! Madison tried to cut her way loose, but the presents were crowding her so intensely that she couldn't get enough room to even swing the swords. Kouki hissed impotently in her mind, his fury rising.

Something heavy hit her in the back; Madison went down with a thud. Of course the presents crowding her cleared out just enough to not cushion her landing, little assholes... but some of them hadn't gone quite far enough away. She tightened her grip on her swords.

Kouki's blades licked out suddenly, snapping through paper and presents alike. The weapon hissed in delight as he sapped power from the hapless gifts. We will bite, he exulted as the presents fell.

Madison scrambled to her feet and crossed Kouki's blades in front of her, circling warily. A number of presents hesitated just out of range, gnashing their toothy lids at her. A few of them spat sharp-edged bows her way, but they only grazed her.
She and Kouki had a surprise for them.

We bite! Kouki hissed, the blades glowing brightly as they rose free of their scabbards and Madison's hands before arrowing straight out to plunge into the waiting gifts. Thissss issss how you open pressssentssss!!
The blades returned to their homes, Madison expertly recapturing one hilt in each hand. "No ruining Christmas for you!" She grinned brightly at the remaining gifts. There were plenty of them still hopping around, though...

The gifts weren't backing down, though. Madison yelped again as a small squadron of presents charged her from behind, swarming under her sweeping strikes and gnawing at her ankles. "Get off! Get off," she shouted, kicking at them, trying to shake them free.

She ran one present through, then another. Then another. Pretty soon the blades were heavy with giftbox-corpses skewered on them like meat on a kebab. Please keep us clean, Kouki huffed, after a moment's debate on if having corpses clinging to his blades increased his coolness level or not.
Madison shook them free, flipping the last few off the tips of the swords with aplomb.

The war waged on, bloody, gruesome, but it seemed at last the Hunters Helpers had turned the tide: that on the ground were more bloodied ribbons and toothed packages than there were passed out elf and reindeer costumed bodies. The last few of the presents, cornered, fled and retreated, squeaking every step until they disappeared until the table.
And then the table itself shook. There was a loud roar, and possibly an equally loud, but motherly voice.
 " WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MY BABIES?!?!"
Yep. The Mother of All Presents was pissed. BOSS MECHANICS: THE MOTHER OF ALL PRESENTS HP: 120/120Rules:- THE MOTHER OF ALL PRESENTS IS PISSED, and ready to attack! Try not to get too close to it, or its toothy jaws might hurt, rather impressively- You can only ATTACK, TAKE DAMAGE, and HEAL once per round, but you have unlimited reaction posts! HEALING: There is food lying nearby! You can choose to heal by eating a random food item. Roll a 20-sided dice. This is the amount you heal by. BE SURE TO INCLUDE in your post your rped food item/heal and then the amount healed for, as well as this is a HEALING post. TAKING DAMAGE: BEFORE YOU ATTACK, roll a 20-sided dice. This is the damage you take from the mother of all presents. Proceed on to the attack phase as usual then. Make sure to post in this post that this is your DAMAGE TAKING POST, as well as note the damage taken, and your total HP value. ATTACKING: Attack mechanics go as normal, because this is a carried over "fight", charged attacks have carried over from last round! Make sure in your post to note this as your ATTACKING POST, post your total hp value, damage done, and then the total remaining HP of boss.

Holy mother of all presents...
Cass stared in awe at the large present that suddenly began hulking above them, sipping at the glass in her hand and swooning a bit.
"That's a very big present." she noted thoughtfully as the thing suddenly turned on her in a rage, knocking her over the table she stood by. Glass and Alcohol and Cass went sprawling everywhere, the girl rolling across the floor and being cut up by said glass as she went. Rolling, rolling, rolling, rolling.....
And then she laid there on the ground, groaning.

"Time to unwrap you, Big Momma... with steel." Okay, so it wasn't the best line ever, but she meant it. The Hunter grabbed a cookie from the table and crammed it into her mouth, chewing furiously as she sized up her foe.

She panted, getting up and brushing the glass off of her arms, frowning at the cuts all over her body..and great, she was bleeding on her dress.
"I liked this dress.." she mumbled sadly, but took up Nicodemus again, wrapping the chain of the handgun around her blade-arm and grabbing onto the handle of the blade with both hands as she moved forward towards the angry momma-gift.
She imagined this was what suffering with a girl who was PMSing was like, actually, grinning to herself as the blade lit up and she plunged the blade into the wrapping of the present, leaning forward as she did so, and then cutting down as she pulled it out again, panting.
"s**t..." she cursed, panting..and exhausted...

Deryk heard and saw the big present, but all the fighting had left him tired and hungry. He needed gingerbread cookies. So, he put the fight on hold to stuff his face a bit. Aaaah that felt good. It gave him a spark of energy, and now he felt ready to take on the world.
