Lattice shrunk when Hel turned her wrath upon her but only for a moment as she just let the Reaper unload for a moment. She didn't hear the ghoul that ask if she needed to yell after that.
The Engraver clenched her hands into fists as she stomped her own foot and whirled around face Hel her jaw clenching, "I know that! Do you think I do not know that? I got to hear them! If I had perfect vision I would seen them turn into weapons! I sat in a cage waiting for something...anything to come help!"
There was no way out that Lattice could even have thought of and she even threw herself at the cage.
"Fighting each other doesn't help either. Sitting around and...and...sniping and yelling and being cruel to each other doesn't help! We need to work together and it won't happen if you keep bringing up personal...issues just because someone does something you do not like!" Lattice's voice was wavering and hoarse but it still carried conviction. "Leave them at Halloween and bring them back up over there when we are done with all this."
Lattice was trembling now as she unleashed the torrent of words.
Finally a soft quiet voice, "I don't care...what started it but please..don't be mean to Mot or anyone else..please..just...get along you don't have to hug just get along...At least for now. Squabble all you like when we get out of this alive."

A threat? Ohhhh, Riyo didn't mind threats. She got them all the time, as a matter of fact. She said nothing to the fact that Hel had threatened to break her teeth. Let her try. Why not? In fact, why not smile bigger? They were muscles she rarely used up 'till now, so it almost hurt to have her face stay that way for so long. Ah, yes. Hel was almost as bad as her. ALMOST. But not~
"I need no hugs. Cant you see my big ******** grin?" Half of her wondered if she was starting to become a masochist... Because this probably wouldn't end well.
And then it immediately faded when Lattice started yelling. Oh... Well...

She supposed Lattice had a right to scold them... Didn't she? The ghoul had actually managed to make Riyo feel bad about what she was doing. Now that took talent.

A hole to crawl into and die. That sounded nice. Surely this place had one of those. It had everything else, after all. Student to Weapon gadgets, Humans that hunt Halloweeners, Mirror Mazes, Bumper Boats. There just had to be a place for him to hide. Shun tried to ease the situation, yet Hel just got madder. Meaner...
He heard Hel say her peice and stomp off, thought he dare not lift his eyes from the floor.
I was not fawning!
Mot could definitely not ignore or pass off the sudden outburst out of Lattice. He could feel the pain she unleashed. Not just with tone or words. Maybe it was because she was a ghost. Maybe his natural ability to sense them made her emotions even more raw to the reaper.
He felt terrible.
Mot didn't want this attention. He was appreciative of the words meant to defend him but.. it made him feel so weak, helpless.. like he was a little kid in a playground, being defended for being the weak link.
Mot shook his head, swallowed his worries, and stood up. Wordlessly, he approached Lattice, and gave the ghoul a soft hug. "It's okay.. we're just a little beat up. Feeling a bit worn down. We didn't mean to scare you."

"Then just tell him that," Shun snapped back at Hel. The Valkyrie was getting snippy with everyone now and it was grating at his nerves. Then, finally Lattice spoke up, echoing what he was TRYING TO TELL HIS ******** TEAM ALL THIS TIME.
Seriously, why was it so damn hard for the rest of his team to grasp this. There was something incredibly backwards for the usual loner to get it and NOT THE OUTGOING ONES.
Grumbling lowly to himself, he looked back towards Team Venture as they continued to speak. The question on the mystery girl caught his attention.
"I believe she is known as the Soul Harvester. I don't really know what she is though, other than she's powerful. Those humans.. I wonder if they had been waiting for her. I don't know but they did take a lot of effort in trying to catch her with those chains."

Right..... not the hugging type. Damien quickly shut his maw up and stared at the group that decided it wanted to practice for the Mauly or Jerry screamer show. "Anyone have any popcorn?" he asked his group members quietly and flopping his head on the half beasts shoulder.

The reaper just glared from where she was sitting at Lattice. The ghoul had her attention the entire out burst, but she wasn’t going to agree with it. “You know what doesn’t help either, Lattice?” Hel snapped back, refusing to let her get the last word in. Call it a very bad stubborn streak that she picked up from living with eight older sisters. “Not being focused! That’s why you address the problem and fix it.” Yeah, that’s what Hel was totally doing by ragging on Mot. Addressing a problem and fixing it.
She stopped speaking then and stared down at her knees with her brows furrowed and lips pursed. Why was everyone (now, that was an overdramatic assumption on her part) ganging up on her? For a brief moment, Hel wished that Freya was here…Freya would be on her side…wait…Freya might make it worse, and then try to fix it…making her look incompetent. Hel scowled to herself, and fished around on her apron pockets until she pulled out a small rubber ball. The reaper then turned towards the nearest wall, and started to bounce the ball off of the surface, catching it, only to repeat it.
It was a way to channel some of her aggression, and keep her focused on something other than her anger…or saying something else to someone else. This way she was quiet, and she could still pay attention to what everyone else was saying.

Lattice was tense. So tense. Mot came over and hugged her and she was still tense though she carefully lifted her and rested her hands on his shoulders for a moment accepting the contact, "It's alright." She said simply to Mot.
She almost relaxed. Almost.
Then Hel had to say her piece.
....Oh that was it. That was it. THAT WAS JUST..
Hands gripped the cloth of Mot's clothing rather tightly, "You know what else doesn't fix it? Being a little brat," she hissed back in a low tone.
She was trembling again.
"Clearly you are still alive so Mot is doing something right when a task needs to be done." Lattice responded quite simply. It's clear that depending on what is said in response someone might need to hold the Engraver back.
Lattice would likely apologize to Hel after all this but right now she just wanted the Valkyrie to stop. The sound of a bouncing ball didn't seem to help matters any either. "But Hel only wants to see what Hel wants to see," she sneered a bit, "Hel just wants to see that Mot isn't paying attention to her."
Oh Lattice. Just shut up now.

Shun shot Hel a glare for her comment. Currently, he did not see a warrior in that corner. He did not see a Valkyrie. He saw a snotty little brat. A fool.
Letting out a hmph, he soon looked to Lattice, staring as she continued to say just the right things. Wait. That was what all of this was about? Hel wanted Mot to look at her? To fawn over her?
....
Well that was an interesting development.

"Stupids fine. We could just get you amd Demi to do some more distracting, it worked well with the tentacles." She gave a grin that perhaps came out a little more sadistic than meant.
She listened to Bul ask the question about the one that was captured, and was waiting for an answer until the fighting started up with even more yelling. She tried to hide her face. "Oh jack it all... they're making my ears hurt." She muttered.
When Demi asked about the popcorn the tiger only sighed and tried to place both paws over her ears. "You just had jerky... besides they shouldn't be fighting each other. I don't care if that is how they cope."

Almost immediately Riyo's hands covered her mouth, a slapping sound echoing from the force with which she did it. No. It wasn't out of shock, it was to try and hide the grin that would most likely come back from Lattice's words. SHE WAS TRYING TO BE GOOD. SHE WAS TRYING! But it was SO DAMN HARD when Hel kept getting bombarded.
Holy s**t. So much drama. So much chaos. So much delicious chaos. It was good to be a demon today. So good.

Hel was content enough to leave it alone at this, to be quiet, and to not say anything more. Just leave her alone with her ball for a bit and nothing hurtful or snippy would come out of her mouth. It didn’t matter that Shun thought she was a brat at this moment; at least she was quiet right? So why did Lattice have to come and ruin that?
As the words left Lattice’s mouth, Hel caught the ball from off of the wall and froze, staring down at it wide eyed. She seemed stuck like this for a moment, before her pale fingers dug into the rubber tightly, her knuckles turning white. Slowly and turned her head to regard the ghoul, her lips pulled into a smirk. “....I don’t know what you’re talking about, Lattice.” She replied. Deny, deny, deny. “You know when you start to assume things it makes an a** out of you and I.” She paused. “…So instead of butting yourself into my matters that you do not possess full knowledge of, how about you stay out of it, yes? How about you instead focus on the situation at hand and…oh, not getting caught again?”
In a way, the valkyrie was trying to say ‘leave me alone, or it will get worse.’

That. Was. IT!
Mot was not sad. Not upset. Mot was.. angry. He gripped Lattice's shoulders, then let go, turning slowly to Hel. His glare was severe, peircing. He'd never been so mad.
"Hel." He said through gritted teeth. "You're disgusting." Never since Sarias had he been so cross, so disgusted with a ghoul.
"You're not helping. At all. Squabbling like a child, picking on Riyo and Lattice, does it make you feel big?" So angry.. "I thought you were bigger than that."
Mot sighed, patting Lattice on the shoulder. He didn't know what to do. Shun had tried to reason with their team numerous times. What was the point of arguing? "I'm tired of this. If you have nothing good to say, nothing productive.. if you only have more venom to spew at your fellow students.. then you best keep them to yourself. All you have done so far is hurt others today."
Mot shook his head. His anger was gone now. He was just so disappointed. "This goes for anyone else. Riyo, don't pick a fight. Lattice.. don't let Hel's words upset you further. I think everyone... let's just have a moment of quiet. It's severely needed." Just to be sure no more claws would go flying, Mot led Lattice away from his team. She needed to cool off too. He did as well.

Lattice would have turned into a snarling beast of rather pointy rage. Angry and willing to slap whoever came near her but finally Mot spoke up causing her to pause and it made whatever response she had die right on her lips. The fact that Mot was so upset that it managed to stop her from further crossing the line as she murmured a soft, "Sorry," to Mot and pretty much everyone involved.
The anger dying away she was left only to focus on the last part of what Hel said and now all it did was hurt. It reminded her that she wasn't strong enough to fight and avoid capture and it reopened her wound. Slumping lightly she followed Mot and this time she kept silent.
...She was a failure on all accounts.

Mitsu was so torn on the topic they were talking about. On one hand it would be terrible to be gone and gone for good. She didn't want to see her friends disappear and never come back though that was more of a personal issue on her part. A fear of abandonment. But....it was by no means better to be weaponized and used against your friends. Was it better to just not exist? The answer wasn't an easy one for Mitsu to decide and she soon found herself pulling her legs up to her chest and wrapping her arms around them.
Leaning into Shun as he pulled her closer another thought had crossed her mind. The focus had been on the woman that had been captured, the...they were calling her the soul harvester? What of the guy that had come through the third door in their room? He had just appeared and led them into a chaotic mess to save their friends and just...vanished without a trace. Who was he and what part did he play in all of this?
Mitsu would have asked but the tension was rising...again. It just didn't stop no matter what she did it would never stop. The fighting, the yelling, it just wouldn't end. Ears folding down Mitsu covered them with her hands trying to block out the noise. The most stress she had experienced on the trip was because her team mates kept fighting among themselves. Maybe...she should have gone back. Maybe they all should have gone back. They weren't ready to handle something like this they could barely handle being in each other's presence.
As Hel piped up with her own two cents Mitsu was...surprised to say the least when Mot finally back lashed. Her eyes grew wide as she stared at the cowboil hoping beyond all hope this was going to bring things to a close. She couldn't handle much more of the fighting. Something inside her was about to snap. She could feel the pressure of something in her mind wanting to get loose but it wasn't something nice and she wasn't entirely sure yelling would be involved on her end. It was a foreign feeling and one she didn't like at all.
Not sure what to do, not sure what to say, Mitsu stayed where she was. In this situation she was useless and she had kept herself as such by remaining quiet. Some friend she was.

By Jack this was just not ending.
Shun had just about had enough with this squabbling nonsense. He was just about to call an end to it all, but Mot had stepped up to the plate. For once it wasn't himself that had to be breaking up all the damn fights around. Hopefully that would be the end of it for sure. If not...
Well then the Reaper would have to find some way to deal with things.
Glancing to the side, he noticed Mitsu's ears flattening back from all of this. With a sigh, he continued to hold her close. The tension was likely bothering her as it was with anyone else, even if she didn't vocalize it.
"You should eat something light," he told her quietly.
