“I must have missed the accent all this time. I’ll try my best to keep an eye out for it.” He playfully responded in response to her Italian background that she never had. Another response was elicited from Dimitri when she mentioned her gunshot wounds. “Gunshot wounds?” he asked, looking slightly under the covers with comedic intentions to inspect any signs of them on her body. “I’ll say someone didn’t come up with the money fast enough, or that you got in a shootout trying to claim territory and someone capped yo a**?”
Maybe if Dimitri had some sort of evidence that he was 2nd in command of the elven league that helped Santa Claus deliver the goods around the world, Daylia would believe him. Instead of asking to hook her up with a job, she laughed and wondered if his time on the computer was looking up ways to annoy people. “Actually I’m the one who writes those lists of things to do to annoy people.” He admitted with a grin (he didn’t write them). “I mostly get good feedback from my fans.”
He waited to see Daylia’s response before heading out. It turns out that her leader had other plans for her; obviously noted from the response Daylia gave to her communication device. She didn’t have plans to stay, which was good but something about the way she said it seemed off. It wasn’t time to decipher it now though when their home was being invaded by robots instead of interior decorators. “I’ll try my best.” he pledged to the Chameleon. Doing something stupid was defined in different ways through many eyes. What may have been stupid to Dimitri’s boss may have been awesome in his. “So as long as you do the same that is.”
While heading to the checkpoint, doing his best to avoid any harm he heard chatter from his communication device, such as his roommate that had been more than just an animal mimic that slept in the library most of the time. The sentinels were big and loud and so was their speech. Ergo it was difficult for Dimitri not to hear what the sentinel revealed. Rossi also knew a thing or two about the sentinels like the Playboy. The basic plan was like dealing with a zombie; attack the head or fry the sonofabitch. “Yeah I’m going to go with all of the above for two hundred Rossi.” When he got out there he was ready to go, witnessing some of the action that his peers took from him such as Tara, Bianca, etc. He would easily make up for it however. He quickly took off his dress shirt, along with his comm device that gave him contact with warp and tossed it somewhere safe(for now) while the Siren was dishing out plans for the team members of the Alphas. “You got it B.” he responded back.
Thomas, the new guy from the prom had told Dimitri that there was a lonesome sentinel just off to the left of him, and with nobody in his way to get hurt, that meant Dimitri could do what he did best to the one by its lonesome along with the six extra more sentinels coming this way. In other words the Playboy would get to play longer. “Thanks.” He quickly told Thomas. Before he sprinted in the direction the sentinel was. “Only six? Do they not know who we are!? I figured at least 10 would be showing up for backup.” Dimitri replied back to the eyes and ears of the skies. Within range of the sentinel the Sentinel would try to capture the Playboy like a pokemon with its steel net. With a new face in the game and with Dimitri not showing any signs of his powers just yet, which would mean the chances of a beam coming his way was unlikely unless he showed resistance.
Which he would.
As the steel net was fired shortly after the “target acquired” speech, Dimitri kicked it into gear and dove to the left side, avoiding the steel net and going into a roll when he made contact with the ground. With enough momentum after the roll to be on his feet, Dimitri extended his right hand out, conjured up a 3 feet wide 2400 degree disc of lava from his palm and slinged it towards the neck of the Sentinel; enough concentration was backed by it to where it wouldn’t stop till it pierced through the neck. Its hand would have moved towards it in order to either block or counterattack but it would have ate through the machinery and seconds later go through the machinery that was present in its neck region.
“Target Deez Nuts b***h.”
The decapitated sentinel 50/50 on whether to fall back or drop to its knees before gravity would have taken over, while the head would have landed like hail from the movie “The Day after Tomorrow.” The feeling that went through Dimitri was a good one. Not as good as the feeling after sex but it was getting there. Just as the magma disc came back to dimitri and disappeared One of the newbies would have then called into the comm., talking about how she has one on ice but can’t do anything from there. “On the way.” was the response from the Playboy before looking down at his dress pants, giving a small sigh “Eh, they were riding up the crotch anyway.” he lied before he squatted down, concentrated for a few seconds and soared upward. When he left the ground, everything that was on him would have been fried; eaten up like a bag of chips after a good hotboxing session. The playboy was in his magma form, propelling magma a foot away from his feet in order to assist him in his flight. Taking it to the skies, he would have soared towards the back of the mansion, where he saw the sentinel nearly frozen completely from Sleet. Usually a snap with a fingers or something similar would have meant the entire sentinel shattering but obviously she wasn’t at that level yet. Otherwise she would have done it. That just meant for fun for Dimitri. Flying towards the sentinel, his arms were extended, while his hands conjured two more similar discs from both hands. Once created he slinged them towards the torso of the sentinel and another towards the neck of the sentinel, manipulating them to where they would continue going until they were on the other end. Certainly the missing of the head, along with the torso would have told Sleet to move out the way if she didn’t want to be crushed.
The discs were then ordered to go back to Dimitri, when as soon as they made contact with his lava exterior they were absorbed. It was to make sure that none of his projectiles hit anyone that lived on the campus. “Is that enough firepower?” he asked while he was descending towards her, giving himself enough space to where she could hear him but more than enough to where she wouldn’t be harmed by him.(i'll edit as well if need be).

Jacen Reilly [Kraken] / Omega / Backyard / “Krakenball!” Jacen nodded as Leion reiterated their lack of uniforms. His camouflage-sensitive clothing wouldn’t have done him much good anyway. His camouflage really only kept time with his surroundings if he was moving slowly or staying still. Neither of those seemed like they would be much of an option for this fight. “We’ll manage.” Michelle’s appearance and subsequent run to the lower levels garnered a nod from Jacen. He wondered briefly if he should have requested a weapon, before realizing that he wasn’t particularly specialized in anything that could do damage against the behemoths outside. As Leion left, Michelle returned, and Jacen was finally convinced that all the children had made it to the lower levels. “Always ready to fight giant purple robots.” He quipped as he ran outside after Artemis. There, the scene was already on par with any of the mansion invasions Jacen had fought in before. And there were still more coming! He could hear the booming robotic voice calling for reinforcements. It certainly looked like the grounds would be getting another renovation. He scanned the backyard quickly, finding their team captain with ease. At least it seemed as though the Sentinels in the backyard were focusing on the Omegas, and not the building itself. That was good in a ‘glass half-full’ kind of way. He barely even glanced at his comm as an older-sounding man (Michael) sounded off, warning them that six more bots were on their way. “I don’t suppose those arrows can knock them outta the sky, eh Artemis?” He asked as the purple giants started to land. As he finally got in range of his fellow Omegas, he saw a few new faces, one of which was trying to pull a big-bad wolf on the robot invaders. Both of them were knocked off-balance, and Scott and Narcissa made quick work of one of them. Of course that still left one aiming to shoot a fellow familiar omega. Jacen sprinted forward, making a a quick mutant-powered jump over the girl (Peyton) and into the jet-stream that she was just finishing blowing out. He tucked in, shooting forward along the airstream. Jacen barely felt the impact as he kicked out, driving both feet into the already off-balance robot’s chest. He moved up, bare hands and feet adhering to the Sentinel’s chest as it fell towards the ground. He flipped off the Sentinel at the last second, turning to the dark-haired, psi-knife wielding girl as he landed. “Hey! Psyche, Long time no see!” He waved, before flinching as the two newest sentinels landed. One of them managed to catch Scott in the shoulder, and the one Jacen had just grounded was trying to get up. And they were licensed to kill now. Perfect. He jumped to one side to avoid a hail of gunfire. ((OOC: Let me know if I Britta'd anything in this post.))

❤ Team: ALPHA ❤ Location: OUTSIDE-COURTYARD ❤ Isabella wasn’t one to glare often, but when she did—She was reminiscent to a simultaneously disappointed and upset mother that had just found alcohol in her teenagers bedroom. Not for the first time, Thomas was on the receiving end of it. Blake voiced her opinion on his martyr-complex far more eloquently than she had. “Please…It’s not okay. You need to get unused to it….You’re human. Not some meat shield.”
A thought occurred to her then…Something that would have never occurred to her years ago. If Thomas wouldn’t oblige her request…There were ways, of ensuring her orders were followed. Appalled at where her mind went, she put a halt to those thoughts like a train wreck….What was wrong with her?
Normally, she would have never thought about attempting to use her abilities on a team mate—Let alone a friend… She’d always considered it cruel.
She -still- considered it cruel.
Shamed by things those in the room with her would never know, she kept her eyes on the fight. She couldn’t look at her friends…Knowing that if they knew what crossed her mind, they wouldn’t be for much longer.
She dished out orders when it became necessary…That was the purpose of a leader. Passing out assignments, directing the crew. Keeping up morale…Shaking her head, she had to keep forcing herself to focus. She kept feeling numb, all over. This was life and death…
But when wasn’t it life and death? When wasn’t it hanging woefully in the balance?
Isabella received varying responses, but didn’t follow up immediately unless one of her team mates had a question. Blake…Technically wasn’t on her team, so truthfully, he didn’t have to listen to anything she said. But as a friend, or a favor, he didn’t laugh in her face. After his “Will Smith” move, she wondered how he’d known exactly where her mind had gone…She hadn’t said it aloud had she?
With directives given…There was little to do but fight. Her hands raised, sending screaming sonic waves to disrupt the incoming robots—Emerald eyes falling to each of her team members while she used the sounds in the area to keep track of her team members and their needs. Gabriel's voice sounded over the comm system...He sounded spent. ~If you're drained and able to avoid being tracked by on of the robots, retreat back to the mansion to regain your strength. If its not safe, stay with the group you're with. Don't put yourself at risk.~
Sleet needed assistance. It came in the form of Playboy. Speaking of…she called out a warning to everyone in the vicinity.
~Beware of Playboy’s magma— And watch where you walk. Avoid anything that glows.~
Felix darted by carrying Aurelie…Or what she thought sounded like Felix. She’d just gotten Aurelie’s response that she was already at the front of the mansion…It eased Isabella slightly, only slightly, that Leonardo and Raine would have some reliable back up. She didn’t trust Kat not to watch them die.
The soft voice of Bianca came to her attention, and she twisted around at the sounds of yet another Sentinel landing to her left. Her lips parted, and she emitted an unforgiving sonic scream that dented and crushed the metal armor without remorse. Her screams had been known to shatter concrete…Metal was a different substance, but it seemed it could only withstand so much pressure. The sound itself was god awful, dual toned and hellish. Her team mates should be gladdened that her skills had progressed enough that she could direct the painful aspects of her screams using limited psionics. They would hear it, but not feel it.
Were it not for natural psionic shielding, each scream would rip her throat and face off in a gory mess. She would look like Chamber.
Pausing to breathe as she looked at open circuitry that sparked and crackled, she realized that she could literally see daylight through the mangled robot. Still, it didn’t go down, though the frequency of her scream seemed to cause it to malfunction as it swung wildly, repeating “Error. Error. Signal lost. Error.”
“Fit in where you think you’re needed Opaque…”, she breathed, letting her words carry on the wind to the frightened girl. Isabella didn’t need to look at her to know that…She could hear it in her tone, enough that her heart was sore for her.
The already bright blue sky lightened on the other side of the buildings, catching her eye. She could see stray crimson beams coming over the top of the mansion…It bothered her that so many seemed to be without a target. Scott didn’t fire off his optic blast unnecessarily.
Hearing Bianca’s warning, the songstress was suddenly stunned by the building sized robot falling towards her. Not for the first time that day…She froze. She told herself to move…Screamed it in her head…But her limbs remained stiff.
The Sentinel was shoved off course, and she only noticed that she was holding her breath as Eli approached her—Concern etched into his features. Sucking in a deep breath of air, forgetting the dust in the air, she started to cough. Turning her head away, she covered her mouth for a moment as her eyes painfully watered. “I-I’m fine—I’m fine.”
“Thank you…”, she murmured gratefully, her ability also carrying the sentiment to Aegis on the roof, though she was still embarrassed that she’d been caught in such a way…But there wasn’t time for it to settle in. One of the Sentinels that Blake had passed through the legs of didn’t look like it would be able to stand much longer. He could pass through things… But to her knowledge, the molecular manipulator often destroyed what he passed through. His body had left a real, physical hole… Was that the type that Eli had been looking for? Or did he need one closer to the head?
Bella didn’t know exactly, but she did know that standing where they were was getting more and more dangerous. And not just from laser breams or bullets…There was still a Sentinel that she’d essentially torn the skin/armor off of that was going crazy. “Railgun, can you do something about that one? I think I broke it…”
She was afraid it would keep swinging and shooting, and eventually hit the mansion. So far the damage was minimal…The songstress knew Scott would want to keep it that way for the safety of those inside.
"And now when all is done there is nothing to say... You have gone and so effortlessly...You have won. You can go ahead tell them--Tell them all I know now. Shout it from the roof tops. Write it on the sky line--All we had is gone now... Tell them I was happy. And my heart is broken. All my scars are open... Tell them what I hoped would be impossible..."

╰☆╮ Name: Katarina Force ╰☆╮ Alias: Kali ╰☆╮ Team: Alpha, Apparently.╰☆╮ Ability: Shape Shifter ╰☆╮ Location: Academy: Outside ╰☆╮
"Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. The fearful are caught as often as the bold." ✬════━━┈┈┈☆┈┈┈━━════✬ It hadn’t occurred to the shape shifter that the mere sound of her voice might set the ever stalwart Agent Rossi on edge. Was that actually a scowl that she saw? To be honest, she’d simply been answering the glittering brunette’s question. She didn’t see the harm in that. Technically, she’d been disavowing all guilt in blowing Leonardo’s cover…H.Y.D.R.A. wasn’t S.H.I.E.L.D. They knew the sheer stupidity of walking, talking property destroying robots. It would have never occurred to her to take credit for that. The slow smile that spread across her naturally lovely face was seemingly harmless, gentle, to those that didn’t know her secret. Her hands locked behind her hips as his eyes subsequently narrowed in her direction and she batted her lashes, all but daring him to demand press her for information…Were it not for the murderous Sentinels on the front lawn—Threatening to capture and kill them she might have thought to defend herself. “You’re staring awfully hard…See something you like?”Hardly. But he would be familiar with her none too innocent twist on their “relationship”. He questioned on if she was going to simply stand around, or transform into something useful, and she laughed outright as gunmetal blue eyes grazed the area. It seemed as if she was utterly unworried by the robots…But then again, she seemed to be many things, that weren’t true. An innocent teenage girl was often one of them. “Now why would I want to do that, when watching you work is so…Educational…” Not to mention that this was the first time she’d even seen a glimpse of the Leonardo Rossi that had leveled her flat on more than one occasion. It was exactly as she’d explained to Gideon, though his adamantium skull was far too thick to let it sink in…They were far less human than they pretended to be. She watched the mildly suicidal male with dark hair, Roland, if memory served correctly scale a Sentinel and proceed to tear through it with what seemed like relative ease. That is, until he was caught in the chest…Katarina thought for sure that the man was dead. Done for. But the black…Exoskeleton that covered him seemed to protect him. He was either incredibly durable, she reasoned, or exceedingly lucky. His fighting style was particular. Berserker, came to mind. Raine…The girl with the electricity seemed ready to be ill. Correction, was ill. The shifter sighed as she watched, still playing the observer. These were the mighty X-Men that had the Contessa shaking in her very over-priced boots? Mio dio…
Leonardo was tossed backwards by one of the Sentinels in a fashion that seemed…Painful. Even from the slight distance, she could see that his landing hadn’t been gentle. It annoyed her, to a degree. She didn’t like watching her once upon a time nemesis get pummeled. If anyone was going to kill him, it was only fair, that it be her.
Sighing, she rolled her eyes heavenward…But her skin had already started to change and thicken. Huge leathery ears popped from the side of her head like a jack in the box. Kat felt her nose begin to lengthen, odd, because it kept growing until it was much longer than her entire body, weighing her head down. Her eyes sickeningly slid up and grew larger, thick eyelashes bursting from just above and below her water line. Her legs and arms grew massive, thicker than tree trunks, and her tiny frame filled out almost faster than the eye could follow. Two teeth twisted and developed with her drastically changing body and formed massive tusks.
Shifting wasn’t pretty. The human body was never meant to become something so radically different. It was, for the most part, a freak show.
In moments the petite Italian girl had become an African Bull, or Savanna elephant. The male mind pressed up from beneath her own as her tail flickered in the air. Yes. She’d chosen to become male. They were larger, stronger…And for the most part, angrier due to hormones. In her experience, elephants weren’t the gentle giants Disney made them out to be…They were vindictive. Her first thought was hunger…But the willful Katarina pushed it down, burying it. She was sure it was damaging to her psyche to know that she weighed between seventeen and twenty thousand pounds.
Raine seemed to get her bearings, and a juice upgrade from being hit by one of the robots with a laser. Her sight wasn’t the best….But she knew by sound that Rossi’s Sentinel had stopped moving for the time being. She turned her attention to the one Roland had been working on, and started lumbering towards it, picking up speed. Elephants didn’t trot. They had two modes. A leisurely walk…And a faster gait similar to running, that could become a charge.
When her massive head lowered, she charged at the damaged Sentinel, mindful of the small human in black armor. Enormous ivory tusks punctured the metal of the robots midsection, a terrible sound coming from it as the broken armor stressed and ripped. She used a pulling motion pulling to tear out its side as she reared up on her hind legs, jerking her head violently to the left —Acting as a natural can opener.
Her head hurt. The elephant mind was dazed from the impact. But she didn’t stop moving as the automaton fell to the ground in a shower of sparks and broken wires. It raised its palm toward her, and vaguely she saw it begin to glow. She stepped forward and walked on the wrist, enjoying the way the metal bent under her weight, and fizzed out.
She kept moving, and reared up again near the head, bringing massive feet down on it. She aimed for the neck…A hopefully thinner area, but truly, she couldn’t tell what she was hitting. The African Elephant simply kept shifting back, and slamming it’s feet down, over and over again. They had a tough, gelatinous covering on the bottom that could take quite abit of abuse…But there were still scratched, broken pieces of metal jabbing at her deeply enough as she attacked that she could feel pain—Smell the blood.
When the lights on the Sentinel went out, and it finally stopped talking…She ceased, trumpeting for the first time—Mostly out of sheer annoyance. With no natural predators, the elephant didn't like being injured. The animal mind pressed up beneath hers, vindictive, and she kicked the bucket of bolts once more with bloody feet, for good measure.

Omega, Location: Grounds And suddenly, elephant Roland waited for his chest to repair completely before he considered attacking again. Raine, if that's what he remembered her name referred to him as a silly boy with a death wish. He smirked and looked at her, his golden eyes glowing with a sense of humor. "Well, I like to think of myself as a high-risk taker." he responded, "It's how I survived before this all happened. I'll be fine, my armor is coming back. No significant injuries." Leo's voice came over the comm link informing them of how to hit the Sentinel's hard. He then noticed that Raine had thrown up, clearly she had been partying hard last night. Looking to her with concern in his voice, "Are you sure you're alright?" he questioned, before she was then hit with a blast of energy. He stumbled back a bit. The shock of what happened right in front of him hitting like a hammer. Though despite that, he was even more surprised by the fact that she was still standing there. In fact, she looked better than before. As he turned his attention to the Sentinel he had been facing, he was taken aback by the sight of a bull elephant charging at the big robot. It smashed into the machine in a flurry of flesh and metal flying about as the mechanical nightmare was torn to pieces under the elephants massive feet. Taking a deep breath, he went up to the elephant and pat it along the side. His armored hand was smooth, so as to not startle it. "Remind me to buy you a bag of peanuts. Or cook you something nice. You saved my a** over there." he then formed thick spikes on his gloves as he prepared to fight more of the Sentinels. Putting a finger to his comm link, he asked over the comm link network to all Alphas and Omegas. "Hey guys, we need some back up in the front. We got the brunt of the forces up here so we need some support up here!"

Gabriel Byrne Location: Range/Tower Thoughts: Two man team, laying down some lead Grey eyes scanned the area as Michael approached him. He told him that he was ordered to stay out of combat, so he was heading up into the observation area in order to provide intel from a vantage point. Good idea, which lead to Gabriel getting another brilliant idea. His power was good, but he could only do so much with it. Taking his rifle and some ammo, he began to follow Michael up to the tower. Reaching to his comm he linked to one of his professors Kurt Wagner, which if he remembered was codenamed Nightcrawler on the field. "Nightcrawler it's Siege. I'm heading to the tower, and I want to lay down some heavy fire. In the armory is a large black case with my name stamped into a metal covering. I need you to grab it, and bring it to me." he requested, hoping to not get any static or something along the lines of 'Es tut mir leid, I am facing my own problems right now.' but he got a quick reply of yes and he heard a "bamf" as he guessed the blue-furred mutant had teleported. Reaching to the tower, he saw that the case was laying there as he asked. Snapping open the latches he opened it up and unveiled a prized possession of his: the AS-50. Or as how he liked to call it, The Hammer. A semi-automatic .50 caliber sniper rifle. Lifting the light rifle he began to snap the large cartridges into one of the magazines, then load it into the rifle. Setting the sights, he propped out the bi-pod as he attempted to get his sights straight. But things began to both become double-vision, and shaky. He could barely hold the damn thing. Taking out another magazine he continued to load, looking to Michael. Quickly he made an offer, snapping the .50 caliber rounds into the magazine, "I can barely hold the damn thing right now. Care to test out a semi-automatic anti-material rifle? Thing's built to punch holes into tanks. We do this quick, we can take out a couple, but we're gonna draw their attention fast." he threw the magazine down and started to load another one, taking out a pair of binoculars. "I'll spot, you shoot." he stated quickly, "We'll focus on the ones on the sides, bring them into the middle of the field. Let the rest of the teams focus and cluster in on them. Hopefully bring the hammer down on them." he added as he heard Michael give out the PSA about the six that were inbound. He then quickly remembered Michael's standing benching order, and he then transmitted a message to the Alpha and Omega leaders, as well as Cyclops, "This is Alpha rookie Siege, up at the observation point. I'm up here with Aegis to help provide intel and some cover fire. I am in no condition to be doing what I do best, so I need his help. This is not a request, this is an advisement of what is to come. You can fry me later when we're alive."He then placed a hand on Michael's shoulder, his hand steady and calm, eyes gunmetal grey and serious as he stated this simple order to the former soldier, "They start coming at us, you bug out fast. I'll do what I can, but I'm not letting that little girl grow up without her daddy." he'd grown up adopted into a family, he knew what it was like to not have a true home. He wasn't about to let that happen again to another child. (OOC: Permission for the weapon/Nightcrawler use by AR. Any problems/questions/comments/edits please let me know.)

 [ ʈ | ɦ | ҿ ➸ S | i | z | e | - | S | h | i | f | t | i | n | g ]xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxOmega - Hungover
Chocolate eyes remained sealed off to the world as Cammi shuffled about the room, rummaging through her drawers and closet to find some clothes. Her move to brighten the space had delayed his ability to fully wake up – his headache much too strong for him to want to deal with. “If I drank, then ki'somma would be civil to my date. And given their rivalry against each other, it seemed like the best option.” He explained, his palms over his eye sockets as he stretched on the floor. “And when I drank, Raine did as well... and she seemed to forget that she hated Cissa.” Which made his existence between the two of them far more bearable.
She apologized for the light, and Aren gave a wordless grunt to let her know that while he wasn't happy with the sun burning his eyeballs from his head, he had already forgiven her. “I didn't see you, or we would have.” He said in response to her question. Had he felt better, he might have made a few cracks at the chameleon. And as rotten as he felt, some things couldn't be helped. “Cammi,” He said, the nits of a smile in his worn out voice. “I thought I'd explained this before. Every look, except the girly ones, suit me.”
He asked her, teasing if she didn't like him anymore – for he'd awakened much akin to a dog on the rug next to its owner's bed, and Cammi bounced back with her own sassy remark. “Pretty sure you're wrong there. I thought for a moment, I was a bird last night.” Bits and pieces of the evening came back to him – some of them good memories, others he'd much rather bury. The thought of all of those cups dipping back, for example – awful enough to make his stomach churn. The girl set about to changing, and the Native American offered to help her in the endeavor, his proposal cheeky and full of innuendos.
And she was a smart girl, always quick to catch on. “What's wrong with showing a little skin?” He did move however, when she welcomed him to search her nightstand for some aspirin for his splitting head, his brown eyes squinting to keep most of the light out. Rummaging through, he found a bottle and took two, grimacing at forcing the pills down. As a member of the reservation, they didn't do a lot of pills when herbal remedies were just as good, and often cheaper for them to come by.
A few seconds later, sirens began going off, much to his dismay, and his hands instantly rose to his ears, each blare more deafening than the last. Cammi asked what was going on, but short of his science project gone wrong explanation, the size shifter drew no other conclusions. She came up to the window to check out herself, and had much the same reaction as him.
The Alphas received a comm message, and Aren tried to remember where he'd placed his the night before – certain he didn't have it. Silently, he quickly retraced his steps leading up to his crashing in Cammi's room, but drew a blank on where he'd actually taken it off. It had to have been while he was imbibing the night before... no other time would he have been so irresponsible with a piece of equipment that probably was worth more than all his belongings in the closet. Ever curious, and possibly on her her way to panic, Cammi rushed out into the hall, determined to get a grasp of just what was going on. She crashed, and had the sirens not been so loud, he was sure he might have heard the collision. “Kerri is not a train, Cam.” He teased, grinning as he bent down to pick up her shirt. Kerri beat him to it; obviously the hangover caused serious delay. “I think you might have a focus problem...” As was indicated by the fact that she'd forgotten to get fully dressed.
The fact that he heard Kerri's comm and not his own only solidified the idea that he'd lost his. They were being called out to the lines, and he could only be grateful that another Omega had found her way near him, else he might not have known. Marcel too appeared, and Aren dipped his head, still grimacing over the sirens interfering with his headache. Drinking, he was sure... would never happen again. “Measure on the field.”
The native tossed his tux jacket onto Cammi's bed, and apologized to Dom in his head... This was the Slovene's suit – borrowed because Aren didn't have the funds to get his own... and it was definitely going to get ruined. “Shall we then?” Though really, all he wanted to do was crawl back into bed, and wait for his aching head to stop pounding.
Oh, and have a chili cheese dog, because that still sounded fabulous.

Omega - The Grounds - I Miss the Days Where Shooting or Stabbing Things Actually Worked Well Madison flipped her hair to the side. "A target, you say...? So that's what that tingling sensation was," she mumbled at Cissa. For as much as the X-Men and mutants in general valued their anonymity, it definitely seemed that every villain and their grandmothers knew where the Xavier school was.
Some of the newer Omegas had finally begun to fall in. She couldn't remember or not whether or not she knew the blonde girl who had showed up or not. As two more of the machines landed on either side of her, that girl, luckily enough for Maddy, made her attack. Not taking a second guess about it when she shouted to move clear, Maddy jumped to her side, rolling, before sprinting to her right. Her hair blew back violently, catching the girl by surprise as a huge gust of wind blew by, just behind her. Alright, yeah. Maddy didn't know this one.
She did, however know Jacen, who seemed to arrive just then. Maddy didn't speak up to say hello to the other, although it was very good to see more of the old team she knew around. Instead, she gave him a little knowing nod and a little salute before spinning back around.
Scott, skipping back and forth between tow skirmishes that were occurring in the area, took the opportunity to blast one of the Sentinels back even more. Maddy took that opportunity to get further away from the things again. From this far away, and without her bow, she knew she wouldn't be able to do much damage at all. She could try and climb up to the thing, using her blades to get a grip, but it would be far too dangerous. The machine would probably be able to shake her off, or just have the other burn her to ash with a hand blast. If one of the others could drop it again, she would have a chance, but until then, she was stuck dodging the machines and the side-effects of her own teammates' attacks.
With that, of course, she did not even bother to hesitate when she heard the team leader's voice come up over her comm, shouting at her to get clear. "Just try not to kill me, dear..." she mumbled in return. Just glancing back to where the others were still positioned, she looked away quickly, knowing what was to come. It was time these damned machines got off of their lawn. Narcissa's attack on the furthest robot screeched through the air, hitting the Sentinel and blowing its arm off. Some smaller explosions, going off in the background, were heard but mostly ignored by Maddy as she moved around another Sentinel that had just landed.
Seriously, the government complained about its debt, but somehow it had dug deep enough into its pockets to fund a mutant hunting robot army? Because it more were dropping in more and more now, while a voice she did not recognize came over her communicator announcing them.
Once clear from these Sentinels and Narcissa's attacks, Madison was actually able to get a quick survey of the 'bots around them. The team on the ground with her was doing a good amount of damage, but it was taking far too much for them to do far too little damage. Not to help at all, she cursed as she realized that one of the newer machines had begun to make repairs on the one she had taken out. Tendrils shot out of the other's hand towards the neck, working quickly as sparks flew and wires were grabbed and repaired.
"Don't make me kill you a second time!" the girl shouted, frustrated, as she decided on her target, dashing forward. Purple blades began flying through the air at the wiring from the Sentinal attempting the repairs. She cut into the wires, one by one, weakening the wires and severing several, as Cyclops' made an attempt to knock the thing off. Immediately, he was met with return fire that sent him flying backwards. The functioning Sentinel's head swiveled towards her, after its attack, making a quick assessment. By that time, however, she was close enough to make her move. In one quick jump, another long blade, raging in her hand, formed mid-stroke, severing the last of the tendrils. Maddy landed, spinning herself around to face the robot once more.
She was fighting far too hard to keep one of these things down, even when they had more inbound. Still, the Sentinel before her raised the same hand that had knocked Scott back several feet, and began its quick charge up. 's**t, s**t s**t,' she thought. He was the only senior X-Man they had with them. Not good. Maddy's eyes widened, and instinctively, in rapid succession, she threw two small psi-knives at the hand. They caught it just at the right moment, digging into the opened palm. For a split second it fizzled with yellow energy before blowing out suddenly, throwing the hand backwards, twisting the torso of the Sentinel with it.
"Solaris," she said, taking the moment to speak into her comm, "I hate to be that guy, but seriously, if you've got a better plan than that, I'm all ears."
Let's go downtown and talk to the modern kids./ They will eat right out of your hand/ using great big words that they don't understand.

Maddy was back, well that was good, they were going to need all the help they could get right now, but more importantly to him was that she had been able to slice one of these things open with her psiblades, He hadn't really tried to use his energy as a blade before, but if he could do even half the damage she did to one of these things by doing it he was sure as hell going to try. "Oh you know, Psyche, the usual. Glad you're back, I'm sure you would have hated to miss this." It was then that Narcissa ordered him to assist Spira and Graviton in pushing the enemies back, which put a damper on his blade idea, but blasting from a distance would be safer anyways. "Alright, Spira, Graviton, lets push these giant hunks of metal back away from the mansion!" he shouted over to the two who had just landed near Solaris before, assuming, Spira pulled a big bad wolf and huffed and puffed the robots off balance. "From your codenames and seeing what one of you can do, I'm going to assume that y'alls powers can definitely handle pushing them back together," Leion spoke in a decisive manner, after all he had seniority over these two so he probably shouldn't sound like he's totally clueless as to team tactics, especially since he's been emerged in them for a while now. "So I'll draw their fire and you two send them one their way."It was then that the two new Sentinels arrived and one began to start repairs on the fallen robot. "Let's start with that one! Don't let the repairs finish, that does not sound good!" Leion began firing small short blasts from his fingers at the repair cables while running away from Spira, Graviton and the school, to hopefully break them or at least distract the Sentinel. Unfortunately the dangerous robots seemed to be able to multitask, it's head turned and it moved on hand to begin charging a blast from it's palm to "eradicate the threat". Anthony "Graviton" CallahanOmegaGravitational Manipulation As the Sentinel approached, Anthony had given his affirmation that he was ready to follow the stand-down orders from the higher-ups. Peyton seemed to scoff at the idea, asking him if he was willing to go with the huge metal clunkers. Raising an eyebrow, he looked over to the iron-lunged blonde. "Well... I never said I did..." just that we shouldn't fight it, Anthony finished the rest of the sentence in his head as the Sentinel had raised its hand, and Anthony said something else before taking flight.
While they were in the air, Peyton had mentioned that she could help push them away from the school. Anthony nodded, saying, "Good idea." It would be best to avoid any sort of property damage, as well as injury to anyone inside of the building. Anthony had learned that first hand in Seattle - all too many museums and banks had been torn apart as the result of some sort of super-powered battle.
They landed near their teammates, and Peyton mentioned her codename. Anthony silently had hoped that it was Skyrim, but it was only wishful thinking. As he introduced the two of them to the blonde leader, she made a comment that made his brow furrow and his mouth twist into a frown. Although he knew that it was sarcasm (at least, he hoped it was), the comment was not appreciated. Granted, the situation seemed to be under control; one of them (Psyche) had hacked and slashed one up fairly well. The leader gave him a direct order, which he nodded at - he could beat back the robots fairly well... he hoped. Narcissa started to glow with a white energy, and Anthony could feel enough residual heat in order to get the clear message - keep a distance.
Anthony decided to stick close to Peyton/Spira, since he knew what she could do, and they were at least acquainted with each other. A blonde guy with funny purple eyes who was apparently named Rave spoke to them, giving them sort of a pep-talk/battle cry. Sounded good... but could they put it into practice? Spira had wasted no time getting to work, sucking in and then blowing out with the force of a hurricane, knocking a Sentinel off balance. Apparently, the robot's reflexes weren't all that refined, because eventually it went down.
Rave said something else, this time about their powers, and Anthony nodded in his direction. "Giant-robot fighter is practically my middle name," he joked, keeping a straight face. Rave was quick to point out that two other Sentinels had landed and were working on the one that Peyton had knocked down. Shoving his gravitational nexus in front of himself, Anthony flew forward, heading right for the repairing robot. Flipping himself around, Anthony made his legs about three hundred pounds heavier just in time for his feet to connect with its head. Unfortunately, it only made a dent, and the Sentinel swatted at Anthony like he was a mosquito. Luckily Anthony managed to dodge... but he wasn't willing to do something like that again.
He could see that the team leader person had been targeted by the robot, but Anthony's attack had distracted it for the time being. Anthony was going to attack again, but to avoid being slapped at by the Sentinel again, the gravity manipulator zipped up into the sky in order to assess where he should strike next. The repairing robot was the obvious choice, but the third clunker was acting as sort of a guardian for the repair robot.
"Spira! Try and take down that third one!" Anthony shouted to his teammate before zooming down once again to try and attack the one making the repairs.

Name: Leonardo Rossi Team: Alphas Location: Outside Not The Best Way To Start The Day... Leo's call for help was answered with one from Bella, to which he gave a curt yet thankful "Roger." It seemed to be raining Sentinels at this point, and they were going to need as much help as they could get. Suddenly, he could see a blurred figure moving rapidly across the grounds, moving to a group of Sentinels. As the figure stopped, he could see that it was not just one person, but two - one of them Aurelie. Touching his finger to his ear, he called out, "Allegra, I could use you over here at the front." Apparently she had managed to hitch a ride on a speedster - which would be useful. A quick-moving telekinetic? That was beneficial in any type of situation.
Katarina had given him some sort of snide remark about not fighting, but Leo chose to ignore it. He knew her well enough that eventually, she would help out with the fight. At least, that's what the animal mimic was hoping. No matter how Leo tried to analyze any type of HYDRA agent, they were always capable of doing the most cold-hearted, off-the-wall things.
Roland seemed to be recovering from his bout with the Sentinel, and Raine went over to him to check and make sure he was okay. Leo was glad Raine was in the field, mostly because of her ability. If anyone was aptly suited to take down huge killing machines, it was her. The only problem was really her resolve... or level to courage, to put it rather bluntly. In Leo's mind, she needed to grow more of a backbone. Because honestly, if she had less fear than she had now, she could be a valuable asset out in the mix. He made a mental note to work with her on that later.
His efforts to take down one of the Sentinels was short lived, and as his feet touched the ground again after dodging an attack, his stance wavered. Shadowcat came over to see if he was alright, but Leo shook his head and waved her off. His right arm was now sore, as were his ribs. The Alpha looked up at the Sentinel as he was ready to fight, but suddenly a ball of electricity distracting him from his tactical mindset. Looking over to Raine, he noticed that she had attacked the hulking piece of metal that had given him a good smack down. The Sentinel turned to her though, and reared up its palm for an energy attack. Eyes widening, Leo shouted, "Move!" but the bolt was energy was already fired. Leo was ready to run over to the female Alpha, but she got up, seemingly super-charged by the Sentinels attack.
That would be useful in the fights to come.
The glitter bug asked if Leo was alright after she completely melted the Sentinel's head off, to which he nodded, "Yeah, I'm fine." Actually, it depended on how you defined 'fine'. Leo's breathing had obviously become much more labored, but he was trained to work through these types of situations... so yeah, he was 'fine'. "Good job," he commented. Shadowcat nodded to confirm Leo's praise.
Then he heard a strange, out-of-place noise - an elephant. Brow furrowing, he looked over in the general area where he heard it, still confused. And sure enough, there was a giant elephant knocking over a Sentinel and tearing it to shreds. A sly smile touched the corners of his mouth - Kat had decided to help out after all. Good for her.
A voice came over the comm - a man named Aegis was doing over-watch for them. Leo gave a brief sigh of relief... they could finally have some coordination to this thing. Apparently, even more Sentinels were inbound... just when Leo thought the front was going to have a lighter load. He spotted the two Sentinels as they landed on the ground. Assuming Roland and Kat would go after whichever Sentinel him, Raine, and Shadowcat didn't go for, he turned to the two brunette women next to him, a plan of action already forming in his mind.
"Okay, I'm going to open a hole in his chest..." he turned to Shadowcat, "see if you can stun him in order for me to do so. Then Glitter," Leo looked over to the eletrokinetic, "go for the kill. The hole should leave his systems open enough so that when your electricity passes through, it'll weld everything together and he'll malfunction." At least, that's what he was hoping would happen.
With that, Leo and Shadowcat started off at a brisk pace towards their Sentinel. Looking over at the senior X-Woman, Leo motioned over to himself and held his palms face up. Shadowcat nodded, understanding what he meant. She leapt onto his hands, and Leo threw her with ant-strength towards the purple robot. The Sentinel had begun to say something along the lines of, "Agent Leonardo Rossi, you are under arrest for the-" but was cut off as Shadowcat phased through it, stunning it for the time being. As soon as Leo got in range, he leapt with whatever strength he could muster, fists forward, aiming right for the Sentinel's chest. The way that the machine was slightly hunched over and the angle Leo was at, he hit it almost perfectly, entering where one would consider the lower pectoral area and then coming out of the upper back.
Going through the maze of wires and metal had a price, however - Leo received cuts on his arms, a gash on his forehead, and an electrical burn on his right leg. Why did he always have to get hurt in these fights? Because he was a contact fighter, to be honest. He couldn't safely fight from a distance... he had to get dirty.
Landing, Leo's breath was now more than just labored. Luckily, he was still breathing through his nose, so he wasn't that exhausted just yet. He could only hope that the Sentinels didn't have much back-up.

OMEGA: Death from above!. They moved through the chaos Gideon scoped out groups to see if any needed help. That's when he noticed Bella about to be flattened by a falling Sentinel. He didn't hear Leo's call through the coms for help in the front. Gideon was stopped in his tracks by Logan just as the Sentinel was shoved away from Bella and she was taken care of by those around. A wave of relief washed over him, though part of him wished it was him that saved her. Maybe then she would be open to finally talking. Gideon spun around and growled at Logan. "Why did you stop me?" The younger mutant asked angrily. "They need you out front kid! And besides someone needs to keep an eye on Kat." Logan said simply. "Then you stay back here and keep her safe. She is off her game." Gideon said not really wanting to at all. Though he turned and took off around the side of the mansion. He didn't need to say a name for Logan to understand that Bella was the her he was refering too. He was able to tell from there that Bella wasn't in her A game. Logan had nodded to Gideon's suggestion and set off to help Isabella and her group. When he climbed up on the roof he heard an elephant trumpeting. After reaching the edge of the building he saw the crushed remains of the sentinel under it's feet. Seems Kat was actually lending a hand well more a foot but same difference. Roland was there along with Raine, Leo, and Kitty Pride. Gideon saw Leo burst through the chest of a sentinel and that there were two more close together. They weren't far from the mansion. Backing up and running Gideon jumped from the roof slicing deep into the head of one of the sentinels. He growled as he felt electricity flow through his claws. It wasn't enough to really do anything lasting just annoyance. As he struck his claws in again finishing that robot, he was grabbed by the other senteinel. "Unregistered Male mutant resistance confirmed extermination commencing." It spun to throw him toward Leo and the group he was with. Striking out with both claws Veritas managed to sever the hand and it flew with him over to the others. Landing hard in the hand next to the Sentinel Leo smashed through moments before still in the sentinel hand. "I heard you guys needed a hand. Will this one do?" Gideon said as the trama from the blow was healing the brusing to his organs. Climbing out of the hand Gideon stood up and surveyed the grounds once more.

xxx xxx v e e x x x x x x x x x x x Alpha | "Sleet" | Cryokinesis | Near the back of the MansionM c M U R P H Y
Shortly after she'd relayed her situation into the comm, a male voice [Dimitri] responded, telling her he was on the way. Finally, Sleet breathed, surprised to find she'd been holding it in in the first place. Warily, she glanced at the frozen Sentinel in front of her, ready to freeze it again if it broke free. The robot emitted a strange grinding sound, high-pitched, grating against the ears as it struggled to break free, but she'd encased the thing pretty well.
Suddenly, there was a flash of red, accompanied by near-searing heat, that flashed by Sleet. A sort of glowing red - was that lava? - disc attacked the Sentinel, spinning mercilessly into its neck. Another slammed into the Sentinel's torso, and they seared straight through armor, missile, and circuits, coming back out the other side. Sleet skipped back, out of the Sentinel's path as it came crashing to the ground. It twitched some, uttering something about a malfunction or other before finally going still. A small pool of water surrounded the Sentinel when the lava disc melted it.
"Is that enough firepower?"
Floating down towards the ground was what looked like a huge, humanoid blob of shifting lava, hot enough to not turn into molten rock. The discs that exterminated the Sentinel flew around and returned to him, melting with his body. He made sure to stand far enough away from Sleet so that he didn't accidentally burn her, but, more sensitive to temperature than most people, she could feel the intense heat radiating off him meet the cold radiated off her. Rather belatedly, Siren's voice reached her ears, warning her to stay away from Playboy's magma.
"Plenty," she said, a grin fleetingly flashing across her face. "Thanks."
Over the comm, someone [Roland] called for reinforcements at the front of the mansion. Vee glanced at the broken fountain and the spilt water, the core of her power. She was just as useless here, where there no robots to fight, than in the front. She might as well do what she could. She headed to the fountain to refill her canteen before heading over. A liter or two of ice against a two-story tall robot would probably do nothing, but it sort of reassured her that her ability might of some use. "The Omegas have the back of the Mansion covered. We should go back and help where we're needed." Really, she wasn't supposed to be in the back anyways. As she knelt down, she couldn't help sighing in part-annoyance and part-exasperation. "Tell me, do things like these happen to you guys all the time?"

 Raphael Ruiz a.k.a Technomancer
Location: Outside, front yard ||Who's with me: A bunch of people I don’t know and Alex ||Current Thought: Well this isn't an improvement from earlier. || Team: Alpha ||
♦▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬┤| Motorize me. The gears are cranking and I've got it in mind to show what my works can do. |├▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬♦
Breakfast, or the poor approximation of it, did not go as Raphael expected. No one could’ve predicted the sudden appearance of the metallic giants unless they had a precognitive ability or were one of those ‘the end is nigh’ types of people. The chance of either, with their collective body, was slim-to-none. Or that was what he’d like to believe. Though just prior to the interruption, an Omega (Roland) made an offer for free breakfast. Honestly, it was a tempting offer. One he came close to accepting before the sound of the alarms cawed menacingly, which was then followed by light tremors. That couldn’t have been a part of the defense system. A fellow Alpha (Leo) and another Omega (Michelle) took it upon themselves to investigate the cause. When Leo got to the window, the atmosphere held a darker tone as he saw what they were up against. The guy began giving orders to some of the students present (Vee, Raine and Roland), but he wasn’t the team’s leader (Bella). It did make sense for someone to take charge or it would’ve.
A telepathic messaged ripped through the moment of battle assignments. The White Queen gave her own orders to avoid challenging the automata. Naturally, the technopath had mixed feelings about the matter. No it wasn’t exactly awesome to just throw oneself in the line of fire, but when a person’s home and/or life were at stake, that seemed to go out the window. Even with this in mind, his feet were rooted to his spot. Something told him that he wouldn’t like what he’d see, but it came with the territory. Now that he was a part of the Alphas, those moments were probably going to crop up more often. Then another message via comm came through. It was calling them to the courtyard…to BATTLE?! But weren’t the students just told to leave it to the X-Men? As much as he wanted to defend the mansion, what exactly were they up against? The Brotherhood? Government lackies? Anti-mutant protestors? If he had any guess it could’ve been the second or third idea. It was probably for a diplomatic solution. They were skilled speakers when the enemy was rational, which wasn’t too often. Seriously, when was there ever a truly sane villain?
The kitchen had emptied in a matter of seconds. Some of the occupants going on their own while others ultimately stayed in a group. The reason for the scattering was the reluctant go-ahead from the disgruntled Headmaster. Cyclops was going to pop a vein after this was over, if they weren’t all rounded up or killed. A sigh came from the dark-haired teen as he ran out of the kitchen to the hallway. While en route to the courtyard, Alex suddenly came to mind. Was she already outside? Based on what she told him, her powers were exactly tailored for dishing out pain. Maybe he could help in that department. After all, if it helped the girl defend herself, that would be the only thing that mattered. Should the battle end well, the two could talk about it. The hallway’s end could be seen in the distance along with sounds from the ensuing brawl. It didn’t sound like things were entirely hopeless. There were tips about where to the Sentinels. That was the name given to them and it fit, but the time wasn’t right to admire the simplistic title.
Behind him, a muffled explosion could be heard. The distance was far away enough for Raph to know he wasn’t in immediate danger…yet. He looked back briefly before turning back to his destination, determined to get to the meeting area. Little did he know that his resolve would be diminished after catching sight of one of the death machines. In his haste to stop, Raph slipped and fell, then scrambled away in the opposite direction. He took refuge in a closet to catch his breath.
Images of their attempted captors continued to flash through Raphael’s mind. The Sentinel looked like something straight out of whacked out geek’s dream –his would’ve looked much cooler. What was the government thinking? That was a dumb question. Surrender or be exterminated. Neither was a favorable option and none of the mutants present were willing to give up their right to live. So this was the preemptive strike made by the Homo Sapiens. Well the fight was justified, whether the opinionated ones believed so or not. What was fear turned into anger and his will to stand was rekindled. Pushing the closet door open, he braced himself for the fight he was charging into. Just short of getting his foot out the space, a transmission came through his wrist comm. It was from Alex. As it turned out, she was still in the building. But the thing that really stood out to Raph was that she wished to do her part. If that’s what she wanted, then he would oblige in whatever way possible.
“Flairer! It’s Technomancer. Don’t worry; I’ll be there in a bit. Just give me a few minutes.” The path to the music room was pretty much a straight shot, so this would be no problem. There was just one thing he needed before getting to her. As risky as the idea was, Raph didn’t like the thought moving in a warzone without any kind of weapon. His primary choice lay in his room; his gauntlet. The fact that the dorms weren’t that far from the music room made him feel more at ease with his plan. Still, gambling with another person’s life wasn’t something he’d like to dabble in. This time was an exception because it would help ensure the possibility of Alex’s protection. Sprinting through the halls once again, the technopath rounded a series of corners until he came to his door. He pushed on the wood of the door urgently until it swung open. Fixing it was the least of his worries since it would be easy enough. Once crossing the threshold, locating the power gloves was a cinch. They were still in the bag from the previous night. Good thing I was tired, or finding these would’ve been a hassle. Now to get to Alex before anything else happens. Turning on his heels, Raphael was out the door again and back on the move.
Finding his way back to the main hall took less time than he usual. It was probably because of the adrenaline that coursed through him. Running track might have had something to do with it, but what did it matter? His closest acquaintance was still waiting for him and he’d yet to make it back to her. Should something terrible happen to the girl it would be on him. Sliding the techno-gauntlets on his hands, the gearhead tore through the corridors until he saw the familiar door to the studio. He rushed in and saw Alex next to the grand piano. She looked exhausted, but he wouldn’t say it. “Sorry if I took too long. I had to run an errand, but Raph’s mutant taxi service at your disposal,” he stated, helping her onto his back. “Hold on tight, I promise I’ll get you out of here.” Raph wrapped his hands around the sensory adaptor’s legs and made for the building’s main entrance.
On the way to the exit, he brought up the arm, with the comm, and began to speak, “Technomancer reporting in. I’ve gotten a hold of Flairer and we’re on our way to the front yard. I’m not exactly sure, but…” Raph paused. He had no idea if he could stop the Sentinels with his powers. It would make sense because of the power he had, but what if nothing happened? Rather than taking that chance, he didn’t bother to finish his message. His trek to the outside world ended abruptly when he made his way into the sunlight and saw 4 students fighting.(Gideon, Raine, Leo and Roland) Looking back at Alex, he whispered, “Are you sure you’re up to it? From what I can see, these mecha-nightmares aren’t looking to round us up without body bags.”
