Leon blinked and looked up at Landon. His eyes sparkled slightly. "Do you really want me to play?" He smirked slightly. He was related to Kiku, a ninja, and Yao. He was really good at moving so it would be easy to dodge the balls but throwing them would be his weak point.

Landon was glad to see that he had guessed right and that Hong Kong was willing to play. The California sized him up and figured the slender boy to be a dodger rather than a thrower. That would work, since Landon was more of a thrower himself. "Sure!" he told him. "You should be on my team so that while you're distracting Mexi by dodging her throws, I can peg her with my own!" Never mind that Landon was more likely to be aimed at than Leon.
Having apparently decided exactly what their battle plan would be, California turned back to his sister. “Have you gotten your partner yet?” he asked brightly, twirling his ball above his finger.

Kartlos walked into the Gym, nearly dragging Shujinko along with him Where does he get all that energy? Picardy thought as he struggled to keep up with the Georgian. "Ooh! Is this dodgeball?" Kartlos asked excitedly. Dodgeball was a fun sport, he knew they'd have a ton of fun. "It's on." Kartlos said as he stood next to Landon and picked up a ball. "Yes it is." Picardy said, taking his place on the other side of the gym with Luz Maria. "Hey, I thought we were friends." Kartlos pouted at Picardy. "Sorry, but I'm gonna have to side with Luz Maria. She's much cooler than you two." Picardy joked, sticking his tongue out at Landon and Kartlos. "Now dodge!" He said throwing a ball at Landon.

“Are you fine with playing three-on-two, sis?” Landon teased, gazing appreciatively at Kartlos and Leon, who had sided with the far more popular state. If this was a popularity contest, his team would win, hands-down! After all, almost nobody outside of France had ever heard of Picardy, and Mexico was falling as a world power.
“You wish you could kick my a**!” he countered playfully. Then he nearly got his handed to him when Shujinko threw a surprise ball at his feet, hoping to knock him over. Landon leaped high above the ball so that it whizzed harmlessly under him and landed gymnast-style with both feet firmly planted on the ground. Then he leaned back and threw his ball at the French province, hoping that he had overextended himself enough to not be able to dodge the ball in time. “Well, someone's ready to play. Right back at you!” he exclaimed.
As Landon repositioned himself to intercept the next ball, which he knew would certainly be coming from Maria, he noticed a rather lonely and sleepy-looking blonde sitting idly on the sidelines. “Hey, blondie!” he said, hauling him up and practically throwing him at Maria’s side of the court. “Come play some dodgeball!” Though the kid probably would just step over to the opposite sidelines and continues sleeping, as if nothing had ever happened.

Today she was definitely going to have a good workout and get rid of some of that excess stress! Maybe she would practice some of that Kempo China had taught her a while ago. It was good exercise and she could train her mind and body! Not to mention it helped with self defense! Elizaveta sighed softly as she took her proper stance off to the side and tried to focus and meditate before she began. Landon frowned at the bell as it rang. He didn’t want to give up his game with Maria, but neither didhe want to look like the bad student by cutting class. He already had enough of a punishment waiting for him, and he wanted to save whatever free time he could to work out his movie.
The Californian decided that literature could wait. This game was more important. He turned a crooked grin to Mexico. “Not on your life!” he quipped. “I’ve still got an a** to kick!”
Instead of reacting with horror at the sight of the seniors who could possibly snitch on them entering, Landon smiled happily at them. “Hey, all of you!” he shouted to Antonio, Elizaveta, and Romero, whose names he did not yet know. “Come join us!”

Romero blinked at the sight of sophomores still in the gym. He definitely was not in the wrong period, for Elizaveta and Antonio had arrived here ahead of him, which meant that these kids were cutting class for the sake of a dodgeball game. They should be glad that none of these seniors were on the Disciplinary Committee; otherwise, they would’ve been in for it now.
The Venezuelan thought he recognized the blonde boy from somewhere. Where had he seen him before… Wasn’t he the rude kid he bumped into in the office? Just thinking about the bad memory already predisposed Romero against the boy.
But the offer of a real game, instead of idle practice, intrigued him. “Sí, perhaps I’ll join in,” Romero answered, glancing at the assembled teams and seniors. Each team was evenly divided already, so if he alone joined, it would create an unfair advantage for his team, and unfair games were never any fun. He looked to Antonio and Elizaveta. “Do either of you want to play?” he asked.
