Lane turned onto his back, looking up at the sky "This is great... I just escaped hell and now I'm going back..." Death walked toward him "Sorry, but I can't help you this time... Say your goodbyes and lets go..." A portal opened behind her and Lane stood up, walking toward Emmi, he stopped in front of her "Goodbye Emmi..." He smiled, then walked toward Josei, getting down on his knees, he said "You go be a good girl and listen to your mom and Itachi, okay Josei?" "Okay daddy..." She hugged him, tears running down her cheeks

Emmi watched, looking down. A tear falls down her face as well, as she sighed.

Emmi gently kissed him back, as another tear fell. This was the first time she..realky cried.

Death walked through the portal and it disappeared, then Lane started fading away, he pulled away from Emmi "I..."

Lane smiled, then stopped fading for some reason "My son has... Finally found someone he truly loves... I cannot allow him to die now..." Anima's voice could be heard by everyone, then there was a silence and a few minutes later everyone could hear Rikku's mother as she screamed in pain, then died, the fading reversed and Lane kissed Emmi again

Nyx listened closely to what Anima had said "Wait a second... did he say someone he truly loves? He didn't really love me?" The girl from before walked toward her "Not many people truly love someone else... It is how we beings were created..."

Emmi pulls back, and rested her head aginst his chest. She actually did Love Lane. And nothing could change that.
