Jack smiled a little then sighed. "Its was... straining to say the least. I dont mind her having guy friends, or friends that are male, but.." He ran his hand through his hair. "Iam trying to look out for her."

Alex nodded,"You can look out for her and know she can do that, but you know she might go around you and just do it anyway...I know I didn't follow the rules when I was young."
Lucia saw from the corner of her slave traders, she growled under her breath and she wen to her parents,Mom..Dad...slave traders on port."

Jack stepped back from Alex to look at port. "Cast off now!!" Jack shouted running up the deck. The crew started hurrying to d what Jack order seeing the slave traders on the dock.

Alex sighed and she made the mast sails spread out and they catched wind.
Lucia looked at the port and watched the slave traders,"Why would they come at port just empty handed like that?" Lucia turned around grabbed a slave traders throat, she stared at him and grinned,"Such a pity you can't learn the basics of being quiet and reading your enemy's footsteps."

Jack looked around for Lucia not seeing her on the ship.
the trader hissed and pulled his dagger out.

Lucia grinned,"Bad move.." she kicked the trader getting pushed into the water,"Who whats some more!?" she glared at the traders.

"LUCIA!!" Jack grabbed her arm hauling her back onto the deck just s the ship sail out of the harbor. Jack pushed Alex and Lucia to the ground as the traders pulled guns out shooting at them. Once they were at a safe distance, Jack slowly got to his feet, gun drawn, and peeked over the railing. "Clear," he called out to the crew. He helped Alex to her feet checking her for injuries.

"I'm fine...Lucia are you alright?" Lucia got up and nodded,"I'm fine I could have taken them if you gave me the chance." Alex looked at her,"Lucia listen to me traders are not to messed with understand?" Lucia walked away,"Whatever..I can still beat their a**'s any day."

Jack walked to Lucia and spun her to face him, glaring at her and fighting not to shake her. "Dont be a smart a**, Lu. You would have died within five minutes. Slave traders are trained, experienced killers. I never, NEVER want to find you trying to play hero again, understood?" J

Lucia got out of his grip,"Fine...just leave me alone." she walked away and sat on the railing on the back of the ship spinning her dagger in her hand.

Jack growled clenching his fists. Stupid girl, he thought. She wouldn't have lived if she'd taken those traders on. He would have had to watch them cut and kill her, his daughter! He turned to look at Alex and clenched his jaw. "We're going to america to settle down and live there." He made is a command, an order. Nothing was going to harm them again.

"I know that!" He glared. "She isnt ready! I never wanted her to be like me, living on the run, going from place to place running for her life! I never, in a million years would want to see my children live like this. Trust me, Alex, after years of it, its not the greatest life."

Alex flinched by his anger and she stepped back,"Then act like a real father then and dont you dare release your anger on me!" Alex had tears in her eyes and walked past him to the quaters and slammed the door shut. She sat down at the desk and put her head down.
