 Looking a bit of a mess having gotten to the classroom a bit later than expected. Ghaleon looked around, searching the classroom for another first or second year to partner up with, having looked at the new assignments.

Nam pulled himself off his desk with the eerie inanimate grace of strings pulling up a marionette. He took long deliberate strides, pulling up behind his fellow Ravenclaw. "I'll be your partner."
"Though I don't fancy the lesson much. I'm exceptionally ticklish." He looked away as he said the last part, as though pretending some one else were uttering it.
(( New student. Name's Nam Polpil. [my username backwards, so it's easier to remember.] I'd like to be a second year, but this may cause a little bit of a problem with my allotted schedule. I guess I'll ask the headmaster about it? Unless some one else can help me. ))

Ghaleon greeted Nam and was more than happy to have him as his partner. "Hey no worries, once you have the finite spell down the tickle spell won't even affect you." he said smiling lightly.
"Do you want to go first at casting the finite spell or second?" Ghaleon asked him thoughtfully. He already had the rictusempra spell memorized from the other lesson at least so he was prepared to be the 'attacker'. He just hoped he'd be able to correctly do the finite spell well enough when he had to.

Nam couldn't help but smile himself at the unexpectedly warm welcome. Though he felt a warning was in order. "You should know I'm completely dreadful at any thing practical. The best I could pull off with rictumsempra was a prodding sensation." At first he grinned sheepishly at his own inadequacy, but then looked very stern.
"Well, hopefully that'll just make it easier for you to throw off. I think I should receive first." With that he took several steps backwards and pulled his wand out from his robes. "Ready when you are."

Aludra Yvette... Aludra was sitting at her desk and looked around the class with a yawn. "I... dont know what to do." she groaned, strumming her nails across the table. She leaned back in her chair and continued her little look around the room. ...6th Year Slytherin

"No worries, I'm no expert myself at all this yet. I might have the words down, but I tend not to put in as much force as I really should." Ghaleon said with a nervous smile, but then nodded he was ready.
Taking his wand out and pointing it twords Nam. He took a deep breath and spoke "rictumsempra" with a bit of force behind his voice, it wasn't easy being to serious when you knew the spell you had cast caused laughter.
Still he was hoping that his classmate would be able to pull off the finite spell. He was curious as to how a deflected spell would look.

 Seeing that she didn't have a partner, Cloud got up and walked over to the bookcase. She selected a book and made her way to the back wall of the room.
Wingardium Leviosa.
The book began hovering toward her.
She waved her wand, and the book fell to the floor. She sighed...

Welcome to defense against the dark arts, Nam! I'm Professor HarryPotterFreako! (I don't think it makes much of a difference between the first and second year.. but you can speak to the headmistress just to be sure.)
Callysto, first and second years are practicing finite, casting rictusempra at each other and trying to stop the spell when they are being tickled. Third and fourth years are practicing the impediment jinx, trying to stop moving books from getting near them. Fifth, sixth and seventh years are practicing rennervate. Stunning statues and trying to wake them up again.
I can be your partner while we wait for a third or fouth year to arrive, Cloud? *I say, as I turn around and see Cloud moving books*

Meiko decides to practice the spell again. She moved her hand with her wand, pointing at the armor and said in a stern facial expression. "Stupefy!"
The armor was still in it's normal state. "This always happens..." Meiko thought, sighing as she tried her stunning her armor again. "Stupefy!"
After the staue broke, she inhaled and then exhaled and pointed her wand at the stunned armor and chanted slowly. "Rennervate!"
In a few seconds after saying the spell, the bewitched armor was recovered from it's stunned state.
