Alyosha walked backk into the living room with a tray that had a teapot, two mugs, sugar and milk. He also had a small bowl of mixed birdseed, hoping that Delta would like them. He sat down, next to Sy and placed a mug in front of her, pouring her tea and allowing her to make her own choices as to milk and sugar.
He poured himself a mug and added some milk, sighing happily as he took his first sip. "ahhh I haven't slept since yesterday... i'm so tired.." he murmered, taking another small sip of the hot tea. "You.. perhaps haven't been here since the new extension was put in" hes aid, mind on the business at hand once more.
He gestured towards the curtain that seperated the living room from his new room. "I have another room, now, I was using it for myself but you can stay there until we get something settled.. It's nice and private, I promise not to bother you." he added, knowing her predisposition to keeling over at the sight of half-naked young men.
"I'll go back to sleeping in here, for the time being.. I'm not bothered either way as long as I have something soft to lie on." he sneaked a look at Sy, smiling slightly at a private thought. Something soft, yes.. it *had* been a while...
He picked up the bowl of birdseed, proffering it towards Delta.

She had taken the cup of tea and was drinking it straight with neither milk or sugar when he made her choke on it. Following his train of thought she had nodded at the suggestion of sleeping in the other room, not really craving privacy so much as a respite from her childish crush when he said it. Oh, he didn't mind as long as he laid on something soft... and she could feel he was looking at her.
Nearly spurting out her drink she knew she couldn't just blush bright red and leave. After all, there was Delta, who was in her lap and relishing in the comfort and attention, to think of. If... if he wanted to toy with her emotions, she'd show him!
She was no lovesick teenager! Ha! (And thinking he liked her was clearly out of the question)
"You don't have to make idle jests at me because *I* have visible emotions," she sputtered. Okay, so she didn't really do well at this lashing out defensively thing.
Delta ignored her mother as she nibbled away at the seed thankfully. They sure were being noisy. o_-

Alyosha looked up at her again, attention moving from the contented gryphon who, it appeared, did like seeds.
"Visible.. emotions?" he wondered if she was talking about her angry outbursts, but why all of a sudden... maybe she had caught the look of intent in his eyes. His kitsune nature, after all, was not always the easiest to hide.. But then why.. she.. oh.
He sat back on his haunches, tea forgotten as he looked at her. Parts of him were rebelling against sensibilities. He hadn't noticed but surely. Resisting the urge to laugh, as if it were a joke, he sat looking at her. His golden eyes were fixed on her blue ones, trying to comprehend wether she did or did not.. *like* him in.. *that* way. Usually he was very receptive to people's thoughts when they were of that nature and he had a tendancy to play, brush them off and tease..
But thats exactly what he had been doing to her, wasn't it. Subconciously. Gah.
"er..." was all he managed.

Her little righteous snit lasted all of two seconds when she realized how badly her attempt at an insult had come out. He could probably even see her try to slowly backpedal and put together everything in her mind and then react with mild horror.
Oh for the love of... couldn't she get even an insult right.
Putting down her tea with a not-so-calm shaky hand she quietly nudged Delta off her lap and stood, seeming to preoccupy herself with making sure she hadn't gathered dust. Which of course she hadn't.
"I'll go to sleep, then. I'm sure you can show Delta where I am once she finishes eating." Of course she was trying to look composed despite the rather red hue that was fetching on her cheeks. Gods be damned.
Delta looked from one to the other, getting somewhat confused at irate at their bothersome moving and noise. "Keee-aaa!"

Alyosha watched her stand up, confusion, angers.. something else moving across her face. She was certainly unsure of herself. His hand moved across to pet the little Aerandir quietly, hoping she wouldn't be too bothered by all of the ruckis which had happened around her.
Slowly, he got to his feet. He moved closer to Sy and pulled her into an embrace. "Sy-chan", he had slipped into using the Japanese formalities again after the appearance of Kiro-kun, "there's no need to be so.. fraught.. about such things." Alyosha, being part kitsune and no stranger to passionate emotions had always been confused by individuals who pent all of these kind of emotions up. He pulled one arm away, using it to tilt her head up by her chin so that he could see her face more clearly. "I am happy that you are here, I wish you to stay and will be very... upset if you try to refuse my hospitality after tonight. And if you force me to eat four day old bento again." he added with a grin. "Now here, let me show you where you'll be staying the next few days."
Alyosha bent at the knees a little, put his free arm under her knees and whisked her into his arms. With a light laugh he carried her through the curtains, into his bedroom and placed her down on the futon.
"I'll bring Delta through when she's finished, as you suggested."

@___@ Wait a damned minute. She had tried to insult him... okay, that she understood. Then that had backfired and he had figured out she had a crush. Right, got that. Then she decided to save face and march back into her room. Check. And now he was whisking her off to bed. WTF? Where.. what... how... huh? Maybe she missed something here...
And so she quickly replayed the last thirty seconds or so again quietly and was still confused. Sure, he had been unnaturally nice, but at the same time he had also enjoyed teasing her... so at best she supposed she was like an annoying little sister. At the very best, mind you... and now here he was acting like a gentleman and interested at the same time.
It just.. it didn't fit in what she anticipated would come of this situation. Nothing even remotely close... but now she was at a new crossroads and had to quickly decide. Is this what she wanted? Did she want Alyosha? What if he just left? She was lonely... and he was undeniably attractive to her more than physically, but the involved risk was a little frightening.
"Why?" She finally pressed, her voice quiet. It wasn't a meek question, but a soft and firm question, as if she was demanding and HAD to know.

Alyosha watched as Sy's face turned various shades of pink white and red. It was like a kaliedoscope. He stood back up, looking down at her. she looked somewhat defenceless and a little something in the back of his mind prodded him to ravage her. But that wasn't right and he knew it. It was *why* he'd been suppressing the kitsune side of his urges for so long. And up until now he hadn't come into temptation. The room seemed over-warm as he stood there.
"Why" she asked. Why.. why..... ... .. his mind picked through what he had just said to her. "Because she shouldn't be left on her own?" he said. "I should go check on her just now.. actually" he slipped through the curtain quickly, out into the living room to see the little gryphon sitting, slightly bemused but finished her seed nonetheless.

Sy sighed and laid on her back feeling somehow defeated and not entirely sure why. She had come close enough to having Aly that it ought to have cured her, but now she was frustrated even more. It was as if things just kept slipping out of her grasp... as if she were reaching under her bed for a shoe, touched it, thought she had it, and still came up empty. At least she knew it was there now, that she wasn't grasping at air... but didn't that make it more frustrating.
Standing up she walked towards the curtain and pulled it to the side as she saw Aly standing there looking at a rather clueless Delta. The poor thing was in the midst of an emotional tempest.
"Delta dear, come on in here. You should be getting to sleep, shouldn't you?" The little Aerandir blinked, never having really gotten orders before. No one had really ever told her to go to bed, but she was tired so she would endure it. After some thought she scrambled to her feet, ran in, and jumped up on the futon, claiming it as her own.
>__< Fat luck of good THAT did her. Guess she was sleeping on the floor... after all, she might as well let Delta be comfortable for her first night here.
"Don't worry, I'll stay out of your way," Sy murmured towards Aly. As soon as the curtain closed behind her she took off her shirt and stared at it, trying to imagine what Tryon would do. Little good that did... >> He'd jump half the world's bones in half a minute.

Alyosha stood on the other side of the curtain somewhat... confused. Tiredness grabbed at his brain and he resolved to perhaps think this over properly in the morning. For now he collected some blankets and pushed a few of the larger pillows down. Stripping, he took the time only to put the light out and then flopped down onto the pillows, falling asleep soon after.

Sy fell into a rather fitful sleep on the floor with no blanket or pillow since her royal highness had the rather comfy futon. She had, of course, endured such conditions before, but never sick *and* in emotional turmoil as she called it.
After an hour or so she finally drifted off, snoring lightly from congestion and coughing every once in a while with her sore throught. At least it was warm enough that she didn't need a blanket, and the warm weather was making the cold pass a little faster than if she were *always* in Kokoro.
u_u She'd have to call Tryon tomorrow until she figured out a way Vidya could look after Delta while she was working. Often during work she was forced to become wholly ethereal to escort the newly-dead to Mufeir, and she couldn't really take Delta and do that at the same time, even if she wanted to.
Oh well... she needed... sleep....

Alyosha woke up in the now dark room. Since the new room had ben added the main room no longer got any sunlight except for the small beam which came through the kitchen door. He got to his feet, pulled his clothes on and put his bedding away. He walked towards the kitchen kicking the pillows back into a sitting rather than sleeping plan on route.
Hmm. He felt like something fresh this morning. Something nice and light to start the day. He pulled out four bowls and set them on the worksurface. Rummaging around in the fruit bowl found him some apples, bananas, oranges, grapefruit and grapes. He cut the lot up with one of his large, wooden handled knives and mixed them all together within a larger bowl. This done he added some apple juice, a little sugar and a little lemon juice.
Leaving all of this to "infuse" he wandered off to have a shower.

Rumors about a hot spring at the Centre traveled fast and reached the ends of the community. Fae, being one who's heard, decided that it would be a perfect way to start her and Pueblo's morning in a nice warm 'bath'. It was one thing to take a bath in a cramped wooden bucket, and another in the sea, but a designated area for a nice relaxing bath couldn't sound anymore pleasant. Being the modest young girl, she decided to wake early and leave a note for Twizzy to let her know where she and Abby was. Figuring no one would be up and about the Centre in such early hours, well, she debated whether to bring a towel or ware one. Of course, you never know, she finally decided to bring one, she carried her towel and did her hair up in a salon clip. With Pueblo padding at her side tiredly, they headed off for the Centre.
Silently closing the door behind her and slipping inside, Fae herself didn't even know the reason why she wanted to be undetected. Peering around the empty lobby, the sounds of running water and steam coming from the bathroom made her freeze. Was someone up? Maybe it was another girl.. ohh, she sure did hope it was a friend. Motioning for Pueblo, she quickly ducked into the bathroom and looked around for an entry way into the springs.

Sy had some rather disturbing dreams. The first was one she was somehow an ear of corn that Delta was devouring and in the second she had six wings and actually resembled her Aerandir. Unfortunately, in this dream she couldn't control her wings and ended up crashing into the sun; she didn't burn to death, she just slammed in it so fast she died.
Anyone who claims dreams make any sense, especially when you have a cold, she decided, were completely insane.
Having woken between these dreams restlessly she had already told Tryon she wouldn't come in today, but tomorrow she would as her son and Vidya would watch after Delta while they started to move some things into her home. Of course, this break in her sleep made her sleep longer than Delta who had slept straight through the night.
Delta nudged Syrenrei awake with a loud "KEEE-AAAA!" After last night she thought perhaps the poor woman was easily knocked out of her senses. Shuffling to the kitchen Sy looked for something for Delta to eat while the little Aerandir hurried behind on her tiny legs.

Fae was hesitant to stay inside, the steam and water flow making her heartbeat drum inside her chest. "Ehh, lets get something to eat first," she spoke, looking down to Pueblo.
Pueblo's eyes flickered around in the steam and clicked her beak in attempt to capture the foggy substance. With no such luck, her ears drooped in failure. Catching what her keeper said, though, she bobbed her head and skipped out of the steamy room, flicking her tail behind her.
Fae's eyes nervously twitched, hoping whoever was in there hadn't noticed her. Heading towards the kitchen, she took heard sound within and great big, unkown squawk. Her brows furrowed, hesitating by the door, then finally stepped inside. The person she had not expected to be there was Syrenrei. "Oh..h-hello," she greeted, her voice still a bit shaky. Clearing her throat, she made a great attempt to shove her nerves back down. Don't be obvious now! It was a terrible mistake in the first place to walk in on someone. >< She hadn't noticed the little peafowl at first glance since it was so still, but until it's wings fluttered, Fae jumped back. Darn her jitteryness! "What's that?!" She blinked. Of course, she couldn't realize it was an Aerandir. This was Syren were talking about!

Sy looked at her and sniffled a little. Half of her nose was cleared up and the other was running a river, which meant she had to hold a tissue under her nose. Her throat felt a little better, but a rough night of sleep on the floor made her a little less... aware. Fetching Delta some grapes, she plucked them off and tossed them to her one at a time. Delta found this game somewhat amusing as she nearly swallowed each grape whole.
"Hey," she replied quietly, stifling a yawn. Bleary-eyed she tried to remember the girl's name. "I'm sorry, can I get you something? I just came to get something for Delta."
Delta was relishing in all of Syrenrei's attention and the rather juicy food, so she paid no attention to the other woman or the Aerandir behind her. After all, she hadn't met another Aerandir before and didn't really understand it was a comrade of hers.
