 IceStorm set her gaze on Moonkit. her blue eyes turning into a piercing ice blue in the sunlight. "I'm fine. why?" She saw Hawkkit as he pounced on Moonkit. IceStorm felt a purr of amusment.

 "Alright then border patroling it is!" FireStorm got up and stretched, flexing his claws. "Hurry up and eat." FireStorm padded to the entrance then waited for Jadepaw.

 Moonkit
[Moonkit growled in affection and frustration at having her conversation interrupted.
She flicked her tail in Hawkkit's face as a response.
A shadow loomed over Moonkit's face.
Thunderpaw's sweet voice breezed over her ears as she asked them about training.]
"I - I.." her voice faltered as she gazed longingly at the medicine cat's den.
"I'd love to." she mewed at last, turning around quickly so she hid her look of disappointment.
I was supposed to be an apprentice a while ago. she thought sadly.
Have I been rejected? she thought in horror, tears welling up in her eyes.
[Shaking her head she turned around and gazed at the cats staring at her in confusion. She knew she had let too much emotion slip.]
"Well? Are we going are what?" she tried to sound enthusiastic but knew she'd failed.
((Rain // Yep, but she's waiting to be apprenticed, and thanks! Your character might even turn out to be a love interest.

 [Jadepaw quickly ate the rest of the mouse and then stretched, warming up her muscles for the training ahead. Once she was loose, she lifted her head and walked over to Firestorm.] "I'm ready."

"Alright. Lets get started. Which clan do you wish to see first? or do you want me to choose?" FireStorm said. He was glad that a new day had began. to FireStorm a new day meant starting over, a fresh new start. everyday is diffrent.

 [I noticed the flash of pain that flew across Moonkit's eyes. Touching her shoulder gently with my tail, I blinked.]
Putting my muzzle close to her ear as if nuzzling her, I quickly whispered, " At least for now you can learn how to defend yourself...until you become medicine cat. Right?"
[I purred in an amused way and licked her once on the cheek. I believed that she would be medicine cat one day...or at least do great things when they were not around.
Wanting to be medicine cat wasn't something to be ashamed of...I hoped that, in time, Moonkit would realize that.]
Snapping back into reality, I said, "So, are we going to practice or what?"
[Grinning to myself, I batted Hawkkit's ear.]
"What would you two like to learn first - defense or offense?"

[Jadepaw thought for a moment. I really don't want to put up with those she-cats from Nightclan. . .Hmmm. . . Jadepaw looked up at Firestorm and grinned.] "Uh, can we go see Breezeclan?"

"Sure. Lets get going." FireStorm headed for the Breezeclan border. FireStorm was a bit dissapointed that he wouldnt be able to see if BlackFlame or MoonFlower were out, but that was ok. He wasnt about ot let that ruin his day.

[Moonkit looked up at Thunderpaw with admiration.]
I hope I can be as strong as she is one day... she thought.
[Flicking her ear to show that she had heard she mewed..]
"I'd like to learn OFFENSE!" she yowled out happily as she jumped on the she-cat's back.

[I let out a mrroow of amusement.
Quickly flipping, I whisked the small kit off me in a heartbeat.]
"First, don't just blindly attack," I coached, "Think about the size and speed of your opponent, and what their weak point could be. You should use your small size to your advantage."
[I stood my ground, waiting for the kit to make her move.]

IceStorm watched as thunderpaw taught the kits offense. She wished she could teach them as well. IceStorm twitched her tail as FireStorm left with his apprentice. IceStorm looked towards the skys as she did before she started a new day.

Moonkit
[In a heartbeat Moonkit dashed under Thunderpaw and kicked out all her legs, sending her crashing down onto her.
She struggled to get out.]
"Wow, I sure didn't think about that. I just went with my instinct." she mewed after she had untangled herself from Thunderpaw.
[She licked her paw and swiped it over her dusty ears.]

"Good job!" I praised, purring happily. "The greatest power you want is the element of surprise."
[At that, I quickly tackled Moonkit and pinned her down.]
"If I was a full-grown warrior, I would have a tough time holding you down," I said as she wiggled beneath my paws, "but I'm small enough to be able to hold you."
[I released her and she sprang back.]
"Always use your size for an advantage," I repeated, "It'll be a tactic you'll use most often."

[Moonkit was starting to feel frustrated.]
I don't wanna fight! she wanted to yell.
I wanna smell the comforting herbs and sooth the sick! she wanted to wail like a little kit.
No. You're older now. So act like it! she thought fiercely to herself.
[A dragging sensation was tugging at her paws.
She let it take her away this time, wanting to get away..
Swim in some memories, even if they weren't hers..
And so she did, collapsing as she left the reality world.]
