[sees Willowstar talking to Breezepaw] Joykit: I'll be right back." [sneaks toward Willowstar and Breezepaw. hears them talk about Breezepaw not having a mentor. comes out and says...] "Willowstar how about you mentor Breezepaw!?! And if u dont Dewburst can always mentor her!!" [Feels like a warrior for suggesting that]

[Oakkit crouched low, catching Joykit's excitement.]
ooc: I just can't help but feel illiterate when I post like this...
"No way, Joykit! What did you do!?"
[Her tail was lashing furiously, stirring up a little cloud of dust behind her. She twitched her whiskers.]
A strange relief flooded through her veins that Joykit hadn't pressed her about Softkit, getting distracted, rather, by the clan leader. She would MUCH rather listen to his story of brave helpfull-ness to the clan than dwell on her brother's condition, and perhaps what she'd done to contribute to it.
[Oakkit's eyes flashed with a kind of sorrow, but it was gone in the same moment it was there.]

[He dipped his head respectfully, then backed up a little. He saw Duskpaw sleeping, her chest rising and falling slightly. A strange emotion went through him. She was among one of his first friends. He blinked and looked away, slightly bewildered, and sat down, his haunches up. He looked around the den, slightly tired, and thought qietly to himself, tail twitching.]

[Oakkit sighed mightily, her little chest quivering with the effort and her head sinking like a balloon that suddenly lost all of its helium.]
"Weeeeellll..." she dragged out, screwing her eyes up in an obvious stall. "He DID almost get murdered by a completely crazy cat, then he was so scared he hid in his head for a long time, then he woke up, but he's still kinda acting funny."
[she lowers her voice dramatically] "I think maybe he's mad at me. I kinda yelled at him. He doesn't take well to me yelling at him."
[She grins suddenly, showing off her teeth in a little growl.]
"But we don't REALLY need Softkit to play. I can be two clans!"
[With that she pounced towards Joykit, forelegs outstretched to grab onto them and begin the wrestling match of mighty clans, represented, as they were, by playful kits.]

[surprised by the deputy's choice of words] Joykit: "Well, the idea came from my instinct. Even though i'm still a kit i think like a warrior, I know i will be a great warrior someday!"[puffs out her chest and feels proud.Sees oakkit coming toward her but didnt get a chance to move] "Ahh! Wow Oakkit you're pretty strong!" [dusting of the dirt from her orange fur]

[Oakkit mrewed in laughter, the sound coming out more like a little squeek.]
"Two... two in half moons, Galespirit," She answered, feeling her face heat with embarrassment.
[She kneads the ground with a paw.] "Sorry, Joykit. I thought you saw me coming," she added in, flicking the orange kit with her dark tail.
"I've been practicing so I can save Softkit next time."

[confused] "What do you mean save Softkit next time?" "Galesspirit when will i become an apprentice? (Joykit is three moons old) "Can't i be apprenticed now?Featherfoot said i'll be an apprentice soon, but how soon. Like in a moon??"[very impatient. turns to oakkit] "It's okay Oakkit. i'm not hurt, just a little surprised by that attack!"[thinks to herself]*i hope starclan chooses me to be a warrior and nothing else!*
