Laren listened quietly throughout the entire exchange, she planned on accepting the offer of the wizard, however if the others declined she would make no objection to their choose, after all the place that the Arch-mage described sounded beyond dangerous and it would be foolhardy for her to try going in alone. However she doubted that the others would decline, after all she could already see the determined look of Tjaden and that greedy glint in Kal’s eyes.
Laren smiled, yet other adventure was about to start.

When no one else spoke up, Tjaden cleared his throat. "I, for one, am willing to risk retrieving the object. My lineage demands that I do all I can to keep this violence to a minimum. I will go." Tjaden said with a determined nod.

Kal stood back up, erect, and nodded. "I'm with you Tjaden," Kal agreed. "Anyone else wanna help the honorable knight, and powerful Archmage?" he asked, turning to the group, leaving himself out of the equation to make it sound better. A knight and a thief working together... It was contradictory, but in this case, it worked.

Erron spoke up taking in all the information that had been given, still slightly shocked that they could somehow be related to an event that had happened so long ago. "I suppose we have little choice in the matter, even if it winds up that the mad mage is not in any way related to Serak the Destroyer, the artifact would be of great benefit to the city, especially if it could be duplicated and used for the good of all." He paused as a thought struck him. "You said that the shrine releases undead minions periodically, I don't suppose anyone would remember what sort of monsters were released specifically? After all, a regular sword is little use versus paled bone or specter."

"You are correct, the tomb is likely filled with shades and skeletons. When we sealed it those years ago, the number of shadow fiends that attempted to overwhelm our defenses were absolutely tireless."
She sighed and looked to them.
"Your priest and arcanist have the ability to enchant your weapons, I would assume. That would be your primary defense against the darkness that has infested the lower catacombs. The other method... we left a number of gems of light in certain corridors within the labyrinth. They all, when infused with either arcane or divine energies, will come to life and instantly destroy any creatures of the Plane of Shadow nearby." (100 foot range)
"Here, take this wardstone. It will dispel the barrier for a few moments, allowing you to pass through."
The party has gained a Key Item: Drake Tomb Wardstone

Selce nodded. "Very well, I assume then we should all get ready?" She asked. She didn't even bother to say she was going, it would be unlogical to think she had come this far already to not do something that could help them get to the end of this road in a faster manner. "I thank you for your time and your help, Archmage." Selce bowed and moved back to the Circle. "If you will all join me we many leave to begin our preporations." She mentioned before striding to the center.

The dwarf priest harumphed as the group made their way through the teleporter and returned to the ground floor.
"Bloody 'ell. Gettin' ta be too old fer this. So, lads, are we set ta go after this glowin' rock in the bone-filled tomb or do we need ta make a stop first?"

Erron turned and stared hard at Ronus before breaking into a smile and patting him on the shoulder. "Long time no see good dwarf!" He grinned a bit foolishly before continuing "I suppose we will have to hold off the drinking contest till after the tomb is cleared and the artifact retrieved." Effectively giving his consent that he was going.

Kal, returned to the dreaded circle. The travel back only slightly less diseasing. He was not made for this kind of stuff. He felt queasy, but held his head and tried to back the sick feeling down. He was a little wobbily in his stance at the inn, but he was ready to go.

"The real question there-" Tjaden responded to the dwarf. "is whether or not we want to spend the time and money trying to find magical weapons. Hopefully the enchanting powers of Selce and yourself will carry us through." Tjaden was all ready to go, everything he owned being worn on his person. He also knew how to get to both the grave district and the afore mention tomb, that is unless there were two magically sealed tombs in this city...

"Aye, Hrolfnir as me witness, I'll make yer weapons shine with divine might. Jes' get us close enough ta the beasties, an' we'll rip 'em apart."

Kal nodded and took out his 'new' enchanted dagger. He examined it lightly, imagining it glowing. Not the best tactic for a rogue or thief, but it would have to work against these mystical undead. He replaced it into his robe.

Selce smiled at the calm retort from Ronus. "Oh your weapons shall be mighty, but those who wield them better know what to do when we get to this tomb and we better get it done quickly while we are there." She joked and stared pointedly at Tjaden to lead them to the tomb. She knew the spell could last for a while but it was far from indefinite. She kept a steady palm on her quarter staff when a thought struck her. "Ronus correct me if you can, but Erron you may not be able to help hit our less substantial enemies." She said before giving Ronus a questioning glance.

"Lass, I think ye're fergettin' that our pajama wearin' friend 'ere has a few tricks up 'is flappin' sleeves. On top o' that, I think ye also fergot about them gloves he be wearin', aye? The one's that priestess gave to us fer gettin' her shiny scales back, way back in little ol' Tradewind."
Ronus gave a knowing wink to Erron before continuing his short but vigorous strides.

Tjaden strode forth, retracing his steps towards the Grave district, his friends in tow behind them. He did not bother to play with his sword, he trusted the cleric to have done whatever was needed. As his companions carried on their conversation, he was silent. Truthfully, he just figured Erron would have weapons, just as the rest of them did, completely neglecting the fact that the man trained extensively in killing people without weapons. Either way it seemed taken care of, so Tjaden concentrated on getting back to the tomb.
