Roth stopped when he reached near the lip of the cave, both Vivian's home and his destination. "Not to self..." He said nearly out of breath, "...Next time, take an easier route!" Roth had taken a rather out-of-the-way route to the cave to avoid detection of the members of the battle that was taking place near him. Or that was to be precise. Both armies had randomly scattered, not that Roth really cared. As he raised himself up, he came face to face with a white horse. Most people would have freaked out due to surprise and mostlikely fall to their doom, but Roth wasn't most people. "Well hello there."

Another human? "Hello..." Dealthi greeted softly, his mind preoccupied with the dilemma at Treebend. "Lovely weather we're having, isn't it?" He remarked sardonically, looking up at the sky. "Come on Purity, don't disturb the nice man." Leading his horse away from Roth, Dealthi nodded back to him. "Good day to you." If the thing spreads, it will most likely attempt to infest those that travel along the roads leading to and from the village. I must get word to the Council about this experiment that they had failed at containing... Deep in his thoughts, Dealthi mounted Purity, and rode at a gallop back into the forest.

Roth just stared as the man rode past him. "...Did that guy have horns?" He asked himself rhetorically. With a simple shrug he checked to see that his staff was still attatched to his back, which it was, and looked into the cave. A bedroll was abandoned hap-hazardly near where he stood. He began a brisk and silent walk into the cavern. "I hope nothing happend to her..."

Vivian stared as the man left. When he was out of her sight, she dropped the apple she was given and quickly retrieved her daggers. They were her only protection, even though she was never really good at using them. Not three seconds after she sheithed her weaponry did she notice another figure in the cave. She had already been seen so hiding would do no good. Vivian drew her daggers and held them at her sides.
Roth stopped as his eyes suddenly fell on Vivian's slim figure. Two gleaming weapons at her side. "Just don't provoke her..." Roth thought to himself as he gave a warm smile. "Hello there Vivian! It's been a while since we've spoken."
Vivian's eyes widened. "How do you know my name?" She asked, her voice cracking slightly. She had no idea how this man knew her name, they had never met! Have they?
"She doesn't remember... Good." Roth ran his hand through his hair, a habit he had developed somewhere. "Well, I can't really explain that at the moment." He said with a hint of embarassment.
"W-Why not!?" Vivan cried, much louder than intended.
Roth was once again slightly embarassed, he wasn't planning on being seen. "Well um..." He began, grasping for an answer. "Let's just say that it'd be bad if you knew. But there was a battle at the base of this mountain and I was just wondering if you were okay. So, I guess I'll take my leave then." With that, he turned to leave.
Vivian was feeling frustrated and decided to speak out, something she rarely did. "No! Tell me how you know me now!" The authority in her voice almost scared her.
Roth kept walking but turned his head to speak. "Let's just say I know about the runes on your body."
Vivian nearly dropped her daggers at this news. No one but her knew about them! She looked down for a moment then prepared to demand more, but when she looked up, the man had vanished.
/ooc= Bunch of one-liners and stuff, so we decided to put it all in one post./

Ranquebus stood on a hill overlooking the town formerly known as Treebend. As shadows waved in the air, he smiled, and looked to the mage beside him. "It's a success, I daresay, don't you think, Azherius?" Chuckling, the mage nodded his agreement. "We'll have a few more of those things ready by the next moon. The Kujin empire will fall..." "A pity, though," Ranquebus sighed, almost seeming a bit sad. "With these, we won't have any need for armies any longer. They've made our military system obsolete..." "Oh, no! General Wyndtalon, leaders of your caliber will always be in need to serve the great Tyan empire," Azherius chuckled dryly. "Besides, we haven't had a chance to test this one's full capabilities yet. The forces that you had amassed were not enough to even partially sate it's appetite..." "What a weapon," Ranquebus's eyes gleamed in admiration. "It's perfect..." Azherius looked away with a strange look on his face. Worry? Doubt? "I wouldn't place too much trust in them," he muttered.

/ooc= Vivian was more concerned about her daggers. Without them, she's basically defenceless! Naturally she's gonna choose those over an apple. No hatin' intended! Speaking of, what's with the apple addiction?/

[[Apples aren't very common in the demon empire, sadly. it's something about the soil, so we can't grow them. They're very exotic, from Dealthi's point of view, kinda like how dragonfruit is for us]]

Relgan dressed himself in a black outfit and put two swords on his back and 2 on his sides. He walked out of the town he was in and started heading in the direction of Treebend. He needed answers and he intended on getting them.

Sniffing the wind, Ranquebus sensed a strange presence nearby, in the mountains. Oh? This is very interesting indeed... I didn't know that human scum lived in our mountains... "I'll be right back, Azherius. I've got some cleansing to do," he chuckled darkly. Fly, wind of the highest peak. As a strong gust lifted him into the air, Ranquebus flew towards the source of the strange aura he felt, his golden armor gleaming in the sunlight and his cloak billowing about him like wings.
