Jesse looked up. "Oh, um.. I just arrived here." She said, surprised that someone had talked to her.

"For my part, none," he said. "But for both the shop keeper and for you, I have concern. I'm concerned for the shop keeper because you took away a part of how he makes a living. And as for my concern for you...is for how this one act could affect you in the long run."
As he said this, he subtly and silently felt the ground under him with his claws, thankful that he never left any footprints when he went anywhere. It was steady and firm, perfect for a fast lunge either backward or forward, if needed.

"Really?" Xela asked. "Same here. But back to my question, you didn't happen to see a stand that sold sleeping mats, did you? Or maybe a...huh...something on your mind?"
As he said this, he thought he heard the familiar voice of Striker, his old teacher and comrade. He disregarded it immediately. After all, why would Striker be in this city.

Naoki The Dangerous Wolf Maiden "Heh", Naoki ceased in tossing the dagger from her hands and placed it back underneath her cloak. 'You speak nonsense. Taking one measly little dagger will not affect me or than idiot of a shopkeeper." Growing annoyed with the wolf, she began to walk forward towards him, to leave back into the marketplace. "Now out of my way" It seemed that this wolf was going to give her trouble. And even though she itched for some excitement, she didn't feel like going up against someone of her own kind. She knew nothing of this wolf, and something seemed odd about him. She assumed she had been the only one in this city, but how wrong she was.

The moment she walked towards him, he took a stance that showed he wasn't going to let her through. Ready to spring, but baring no teeth. His eyes shone with a strong look of experience...and warning.
"You don't know that," he said, sounding like someone who personally knew what he was talking about. "Each and every choice that we make, both little and big, affect the outcome of the future. Even the smallest choices can make the biggest outcomes in the end. Take it from someone who's seen it first-hand, worst-case scenario almost every time."

Naoki The Dangerous Wolf Maiden As he moved, taking a stance, Naoki ceased in walking, watching him. He wasn't going to let her pass, and she had a feeling he wouldn't. So giving a sigh, she removed her hood, revealing her appearance. She listened as he spoke, making her believe had had experience in all of this. It only made her smirk, placing a hand upon her hip. "Sorry, but I don't have time for a history lesson." Naoki then ran towards him, and stopped just a few feet in front of him, leaping towards the side, into the wall. Upon the wall sat a metal pipe, which poked out of the wall. Grabbing it, Naoki swung on it, reaching another one which was higher up, and then leaped onto the roof. Looking down at the white wolf, she gave him a wink. "Let's play another day" Naoki then took off upon the rooftops.

Striker looked up where she had jumped. Instead of giving chase, however, he shook his head and started climbing up a nearby crate.
"So it appears that she'll have to learn the hard way," he said, all four feet on the crate now. "Perhaps she already knows, though, considering that she's probably well older than her appearance..."
With that, he jumped and made his way to the roof of the building's roof.
"...as for how old, that will remain a mystery for now. Finding Xela comes first."

"No, I haven't. And maybe something is on my mind. It's just... I'm a very long way from home." Jesse said. She could tell he had something to hide. "What's your name?" She asked.

"Call me Xela," he said, friendly but not smiling. "And you aren't alone in that department. I'm also a long way from my home."
Deciding not to risk exposing where he was from - even if on accident - he tried to change the subject.
"You look like you could use some company. You mind if I hang with you for a little?"

"Nice to meet you, Jesse," he said, holding out his hand. "...I notice that you wield a sword on your back. What style do you use, if I may ask?"

Jesse shook Xela's hand. "Um. Random swordplay. Also, I've learned a fighting style if that's what you're asking. It's caeporia."

Tyren continued walking, accedentaly bumping into the person named Jesse.
"Sorry."
He said, and continued on his way. He walked for what seemed hours, until he found a nice place to rest, under a tree in front of a house. He sat down and closed his eyes, allowing rest to come.

Kasark walked around the market, his coat flowing behind him in the gentle breeze. He looks around, searching for a place selling magical artifacts. He turns on an intersection, searching with no luck. The breeze blows harder, revealing a large white book tucked inside of his coat, apparently valuable.

Kas continues to walk, looking now for anything of interest. Eventually, however, he decides to sit down under a tree. He then pulls his book out a reads it. The powerful magic contained in his book conjures a small pool of water in front of him, in which he animates into a small figure. The figure begins to move around, staying close to Kasark. After some time, it dissolves back into the conjured water and disappears as Kas continues to read his book.
