Victor grinned at her as he finished off his own plate of breakfast. "Alright. Sounds alright to me. What would you like to do?"

"Dancing, eh? Never really been one for it, so...I really don't know where any places are." Victor replied.

"I know there are a couple of places in Gotham, and course, I'm familiar with the clubs in New York. The real fun one would be 'The Black Abbey' where the vamps hang out," Skuld explained just before finishing a bite of sausage.

Skuld leaned forward while sitting across from Sabertooth, "Vampires, Love. That's what I said. There is a select vampire society within the goth community, you know. I was just wondering just how adventurous you felt. The vamps can be a handful -- of course they usually aren't real vampires, but one never can tell.... And no, it's not often that I associate with them, they can be ... too controlling..."

Victor grunted. "Well....I don't know. Most I go to are bars. But....I'll trust your judgement, babe." he replied.

Quite some time passed in the dead of space. A single, shiny black ring made it's way through the rocky graveyard that surrounded Cantata's former home. It gently floated past the charred remains of the building, and towards the floating rock that held the ash and burnt chunks that was formerly the Abolisher. The black ring floated down and half buried itself inside one of the piles of ash. After another moment, it began humming with energy. The ash around it began to shift and move, as did a few of the charred chunks of flesh and bone lying about. Soon, a finger began to form in the ash...and once there was enough of it to let the ring snugly wrap around....
"Thorn of Anacortis...."
The rest of the pile of ash began feeding off the energy the ring was giving off, and a hand began to take shape.
"...rise..."
Each chunk and bit of ash began burning ferociously. The flames soon became strong enough that it seemed like there was a building burning all over again. Something within the flames let out a furious roar, and suddenly the fire exploded outward.
Thorn stood, once again fully formed, and very much "alive" again. What was different this time, was the expression and energy he gave off. It wasn't hard to tell that the former god of destruction was absolutely livid. But...there was something in his empty black eyes....and almost an aura radiating off of him that may have been mistaken for fear.
Not that such an emotion was likely. Black Lanterns didn't feel such emotions that the other lantern corps did.
......right?
Honestly. The thought that Zira had so taken Thorn aback that he would actually be capable of feeling emo-
A floating rock bumped into the ground behind the Aboolisher. In turn he nearly jumped out of his skin, whirled around, and vaporized the thing before it had a chance to get any closer to him.
..........
The being blinked, grunted, then straightened himself out. Right....well....It wasn't much fun going after Terragon or Cantata anyway. Really...it was too easy to nearly kill the both of them. No challenge at all. How....how boring. He had a LOT of other things he could be doing right now. All of which were lightyears away from Anacortis.
....
Right. Well. Yeah. Time to go....blow up a planet or something. Charge up his ring. Then he could go....not bother anyone from his planet.
......
The next moment, the Abolisher vanished.

A soldier in the D'Amico crime sydicate, Phillip Rosco received a return text from the consigliere, Big Joe Rispoli. The big blond man tucked away his cellphone, and walked into an apartment building. Walking up to the door of Skuld's appartment, the henchmen politely knocked on the door....

Victor glanced back at the door, then carefully moved towards it. He stopped just in front of it and carefully tried to look out the spy glass.

Vic saw a large blond man with a buzz cut and seemingly no neck standing two feet away from the doorwith his hands folded in front of him. The muscular thug wore a fine tailored black suit and had on dark sunglasses.

"Victor Creed, my boss would like to hire you for a job. I am instructed to drive you for a meet and time is of the essence, and you can discuss your fee," the henchman calmly stated as if he wasn't taking 'no' for an answer.

"A job?" Victor questioned. Was....was this guy talking about the kind of job he thought he was? "You came at a bad time. I'm still in the middle of a vacation of sorts."

Without altering his serious tone, Rosco responded with a stone face, "I'm sorry to disturb you and your woman, but I wouldn't be here if it wasn't important. The particulars can't be discussed here out in public. The only thing that I can tell you is that you would be working directly for Mr. D'Amico."
