Gabe discovered that he was in the briefing room, being briefed, thus why Hades was talking in the first freaking place.
"You have one 9-man squad of your own, the other squads are comprised of our personal selections of mercenaries. You'll have some good ones behind you - Mr. Johnson picked out his favorite employees for one squad, and acting together they're almost as good as a four-man agent team. Either way, though, everyone but Mr. Johnson and his squad are directly under your command."

Shae nodded. "Are we allowed to call in additional mercenaries? And are the other Agent squads also under our orders?"

"You could call in other mercenaries if you wanted. I wouldn't recommend it though - fewer troops, less warning for them. A couple of hovercraft sparks less of a panic than twenty. As for the other agent teams, they are not under your command but they are cooperating. Josh Cook is one of the leaders - you got along with him well last time."

((Shae just got turned into an agent - he only has Level 0 implants - basically sensors and crap. He needs to do some missions to get some upgrades. biggrin ))

"You leave right-" The floor fell out. They could feel Hades' almost perverted grin from several stories down.
Several minutes later they were riding out in... an ambulance? Well, whatever worked. They were being followed by a police van of sorts and a single APC. These weren't the dropships that Hades had discussed, but apparently he felt this would be even more low-key, and as of yet he had proven to be extremely accurate.
Interestingly, they didn't run into any gates or checkpoints or... well, anything but civilians and the occasional squirrel. They only ran into the squirrels - Steven was driving their ambulance and seemed to be going out of his way to run over wildlife. Little did they know that this was painfully standard procedure. Steven was actually a pretty scary driver.
After maybe twenty minutes they had gotten all set up and were prepared to jump out, but the wisdom of jumping out into a crowd armed was questionable.
On the other hand, that was all Hades seemed to have given them to do, and Steven was getting his rifle ready.

"If we couldn't operate around you, we'd be hideously suckish troops," Steven offered. "We can wait for a second, but there's no subtle way to do this - this is a G3, not a handgun. And we pulled up in an APC - it's pretty obvious already. But hey, it's your call, we'll listen."

Shae headed towards the door. "Listen, I'm still pretty skilled at disguising myself. I, for sure, can at least get to another location from which to signal the other teams and wreak more widespread havoc. Sound good?"
He laid a hand on the handle, prepared to jump out. Everyone suddenly noticed that he looked different, but how was not clear yet.

"Well... alright," Steven murmured, keeping his G3K out of sight for the moment. "But hurry. If you haven't given us a signal in... oh, whenever enemies start popping up, we're going."
The scanners, when they thought to check them, indicated that no one except a few police officers were near them and armed.

Gabriel tapped Shae on the shoulder, recognizing the subtle difference in Shae, "If you're talkin' disguise, don't you need...oh, I don't know, a disguise before you just hop out there. Guns blazing or not, you're still looking like a suspicious character." he suggested.
He turned, "And I'll be going with Shae, close-quarters isn't exactly the best condition for a sniper."
