Dr. Len left the sick bay, Rin following behind him. He looked forlornly at the plastic-wrap window, "That isn't going to hold, you know... And if the captain could crash through it, that means the window needed replacing..."

The scientist looked at Rin, "You wouldn't mind helping them repair, would you?"

"If you want me to." Rin responded, looking at Steve, "Is there anything I can help you with?"

(waiting for DAI's and Jad's arcs respectively)

Steve pulled himself out from under the desk and looked at the computer screen. "Wha..? Stupid glitches..." He pounded his fist on the keyboard.

Matt groaned as he noticed many of the crew beginning to clean up. His least favorite activity, and - sadly - his job. He obtained a broom and began sweeping, making sure Nina at least noticed he wasn't slacking off at that time.

"So, what's the deal with Jad?" Blake asked (their voices still hushed if Jesien is in the room) Maggie.

Maggie transfered from her stool to the foot of Blake's bed. "Captain - or Grand Admiral - Jad." She said, tasting the sound of the name.

"Its not a name I've heard in a long time." Maggie continued, finally. "He may look similar to you humans, but he's traveled the stars many, many times over as long as I have."

"I see."

"Blake, there's one other thing." Maggie said. "He's got an imperial bounty on him. Enough to cover all our expenses for decades."

At this the alien caught Blake's attention. "Truly?"

Maggie nodded. "But we cannot obtain that money without a ship, which we could not easily gain at the present time."

"That leaves us in a situation." Blake said finally. "However, I'd doubt taking him would be any easy task. And with Marth injured as so, we really need this ship to get anywhere. I'm also truly curious about the Jupiter...."

After some deliberation, he came to a decision. "We're no friend to the empire, Maggie, and you know that. We should at least take up pretense of accepting his offer. Whether we abduct him or find his treasure, our loan would be repayable. We can decide, later on, what would be the best course of action."

(Yes it is. *bows*.

Jad waited patiently outside the sick bay, smiling slightly. His offer was good, in fact, most of his were, except when he offered his cooking... but that's another story. suffice to say, Jad believed he'd had a good pitch, but the coice of things ultimately came to Blake.

DAI's voice drifted from the doorway, "I am DAI. Dynamic Adaptive Intelligence. I am Project S. I'd come and welcome you, had I a body. Unfortunately I am trapped within this chamber. Dr. Erin implied that you would copy my intelligence to an android to test it." The disembodied voice was a monotone, no feeling whatsoever.

The door opened behind Layla, Dr. Jeremy entered, staring at a notepad. he bumped into Layla then staggered back in surprise.

"Y-you're here! Um... Good! I have the production facility ready now, if you have downloadable blueprints... and Dr. Erin said she's sent the networking chip design to us so you can incorporate it into the androids to allow more control over a larger group..." He smiled nervously, he was uncomfortable around scientists he didn't know. Especially ones that built deadly attack androids.

Maggie blinked. She trusted Blake's judgment, but she feared he was too naive, or maybe trusting, or even possibly overconfident, for the likes of Jad. But Maggie would not be fooled. She would be very aware of the Grand Admiral's every movement.

Getting off Blake's commandeered bed, she began walking towards the door. Before reaching it, she turned around and replied, "Then I will inform both the captains of your decision." Then she walked out the door, turning her head and giving Jad a scrutinizing look, guessing that he had overheard everything.

((Er, and that was just a guess. Had he?))

kryxel soon got tiered of the exitement and fell asleep (like all cats do)

"Actually, Mybody is going to be housed in an exoskeleton Dr. Erin has taken from the Project Armor division. The body you will be constructing will house an exact copy of my system in an android body, providing my strategies and calculations with firepower and mobility. Dr. Erin called the ideal form MAI, or Mobile Adaptive Intelligence. By the name, she is probably going to upload it into an android of your design. The network will be slaved to MAI, who is then connected to the computers here, allowing control of the army through MAI." DAI explained in a matter-of-fact voice. "MAI will also be connected to me, since we are the same system or mind. If MAI is destroyed, we can still utilize the army through me, conversely, she can be used as a backup for the final product."

Dr. Erin then entered the room, "I see you've made yourself at home. As soon as one of your androids is built, we can move to absorb project W, taking their multiform nanite weapons systems they've developed." She smiled flipping to a page on her clipboard, "Now, let's see... Project A and N have served their purposes, and Project T, once we get Dr. Len back, will enable instant transport of the units constructed. Viola! Ultimate ambush party or defense force! or even better, an army orbital defenses can't do anything about."

A screen flashed green twice. Dr. Erin looked over to it, "That's Dr. Jeremy. He's ready to begin construction of ten units right now."
