Do not lie to yourself. You envy the power those Arrancar possess. You cannot hide these truths; me and you, it is what we desire above all else. Power.

Rokera broke his trance. He saw Jan fire a beam of energy into the sky, followed by an incantation. Throwing his nagging doubts to the back of his mind, he decided to see if Jan needed any assistance.

Rokera jumped and landed near Bob and Jan. "Mind some help?" Rokera's teeth bared in a smile, every muscle fiber itching to slay and ravage enemies. "If not, I must listen to my captain, and go help the the others in Squad 7." His plain zanpakuto seemed frail next to the might of reiatsu clashing around him, but it still glowed with a solid enough force to at least scratch Arrancar skin, at least, if he used up half of his reiatsu in one swing.

Thanatos watched, a grin slowly rippled across his face. "This won't last much longer. Bull will kill this weakling in a matter of moments." Thanatos let go of his zanpakuto, and slid into a sitting position. "Before we go reclaim 7th squad, let's watch the rest of this fight. Svetlana, Lillith sit behind me. Just in case this insect tries something, I'd like you to be safe." Thanatos grabbed the hilt of his zweihander and stabbed it into the ground behind him. Creating a sort of sheild in front of the two girls. "Bull, enter shikai already. I want to see how much faster he goes down."

((I'm sorry, but you are wrong. There is no way you would realize in time for you to do that. I understand the thing before and how you covered yourself, but there is no way that you can think and move that fast.))

Svetlana, on the other hand, was fully comfortable being treated as a tool rather than an asset. She followed her vice captain's instructions, pushing aside her own opinion that they should move out immediately. No doubt, Thanatos thought that she could learn something from watching their captain fight, perhaps to reacquaint themselves with a man they hadn't seen in a long, long time. The woman had no doubt in her mind that Thanatos was correct in this assumption, and sat.

She was still as he erected the barrier, taking care not to crowd Lillith. She was of the same mind: the shield seemed to be overkill when added to the vice captain's confidence in Bullene, but she didn't consider herself for a moment to be in any position to bring it up. Let him do as he wishes. I would rather die in defense of my home than by an errant blow, she thought mildly.

Jan looked back again when Thanatos appeared to help defend the 7th Squad members. "Hey, good timing! Looks like I can move in to support Bullene more directly now. The faster we finish here, to sooner we retake all of Soul Society!"

Jumping right into the air, Jan used his Hoho to stick his feet to the gas molecules above everyone else. With a high enough vantage point, Jan took aim with his wakisashi and began firing carefully aimed photon bursts into the battle. However, he was not aiming for the Arrancar, but for the blood that seemed to be used as a weapon. First, Jan took aim at the small blood blades near Bullene's arms, before firing on the rest of the blood in the air around them.

Jan took a bit of time to explain his tactic to those watching below. "Light energy is way too fast for him to dodge all at once, not to mention he has to keep watch and control all that blood he wants to attack with... I doubt anyone can hold blood together after it's been dissolved to the sub-molecular level. With enough of Bullene's attacks and shots from me, we'll bleed this one dry without having to release either of our Zanpakuto!"

Jan's katana, being held in his right hand, was meanwhile being charged with electrical energy. Crackling with blue light, Jan increased the control over his layered electromagnetic fields. I'm not sure if I ever used any Bounded Fields on Bullene, but I think he can get out when the time comes...

((For added reference, Hoho is the ability to use Reiatsu in one's feet; it's necessary for skills like Shunpo and is how characters seem to stand or slide across the air in the original series.))

Katsumi finally reached the Gate that connected the Soul Society to the human world. She had used her Sonido but honestly... she wasn't very good with directions so it had taken her a while to find the area. She looked over at Zane who seemed to have just picked himself up from a crater that was in the ground and was now using his bizarre blood ability to attack his opponent, obviously a Captain, who stood before him. This was what she could see from up in the air at least.

She lowered herself the ground slowly, taking into account the presences of a fair number of Shinigami and one Vaizard around them. This really wasn't the most intelligent of fights for Zane to have gotten into. She really wasn't acquainted with those who had gained Espada rank recently as she had been away from Las Noches during appointment of the Third Generation Espada. It was disappointing to see someone so reckless among their ranks.

If it had been up to her, Katsumi would simply have dragged Zane off or left him to his own vices, but that could not be the case. She had to do her best to aid him in holding off the Shinigami and their allies from getting back the Soul Society, so here she was.

Zane seemed to be fairing well enough against the man in front of him for the time being, so perhaps it would be best if she dealt with one of the other Shinigami for now until others arrived, as they most surely would. She hadn't ever been one to engage others so she figured she would do this the polite way. "I am Katsumi Himura, the Quinta Espada," she began, turning to face a small group of Shinigami near her, "Do any of you wish to step up against me to regain your Soul Society?"

And I'm just gonna say Zane's blood = basically a Soul Eater rip off.

"Thanatos!" Bull called out to his Vice Captain, noticing he was still present. "Take those members AND LEAVE! I already ordered you to!"

Bull returned his focus on the fight. With Jan helping destroy Zane's black blood, the arrancar wouldn't last long. All they needed was to eliminate a large scale of the black blood. Bull wouldn't be able to use his own photon manipulation while not using his Shikai, so he needed some form of photon manipulation. It was then that he had an idea. Shunpoing back slightly to avoid any more Black Blood, Bull called back to Jan. "Jan, fire a photon burst at me!" He began to gather reiatsu in his right hand. "Just do it! I have a plan!"
